Many people say this game looks like Stray, but it's honestly much more like untitled goose game, if not uncannily so. Just a larger world, more freedom of movement and a cat as the embodiment of chaos instead of a goose.
Yeah, it even has a To Do list type feature. It's also not like there can only be one type of each game.

I find the comparison quite strange, to be honest. The only thing this game has in common with Stray is that both protagonists are cats. The atmosphere are completely different otherwise, not to mention Stray is set in a post-apocalyptic future where the cat risks his life to escape an underground city. Little Kitty Big City looks like a silly, cozy little adventure about a mischievous little cat just having a good time. I definitely see more "Untitled Goose Game" in this title! In fact, that was my first thought when watching gameplay. :)
My kids and I have said that it's like if Stray and Untitled Goose Game had a baby. lol

I implore people to play the demo on steam. it isn’t like stray, and honestly it is very different from goose game. this game’s narrative is a cat trying to get home while screwing around along the way. Goose game was just like “come out of bush and commit felonies for a bell”

I wonder if when it was in development they called it Untitled Cat Game. The fact that there's achievements for knocking things over has me sold already!
Or probably they looked at Stray and wanted to make a game like that would get more attention.
I believe it was already in development when Stray was released.@christopherjohannjr.9945 Update: LKBC was announced November 13, 2021. Stray was announced in 2020. Seeing as they were announced around the same time, they were probably already in development at the same time. One just took a little longer than the other to be released. They may put a nod to Stray, but I don't think they are trying to ride its coat tails. As said by others, I feel it's got more of an Untitled Goose Game inspiration.

It appears to be literally nothing like Stray except there's a cat. I guess all the games with human main characters are copying eachother because they all use humans? Dumb logic.
@@christopherjohannjr.9945 The game was in development before Stray was even revealed. It takes some inspiration from UGG for sure. The lead developer actually had a poll on Twitter years ago when he was deciding on names for the game as well
1:17 I'm honestly glad for this note. I was worried we'd get some dark twist seeing the cat get hurt to make a point about life on the streets.
It’s been presented as a silly, lighthearted game from day one-it’d be weird (and a bad business choice) to give it some dark twist.

They got the gameplay down so well, I love that the cat doesn't just meow in the trailer and actually chirps/trills at the camera, Most cat games just use meows/mews.
Finally, a release date. Looking forward for this.

@@winxwest2964 They didn't say that. Looking better likely means looking like a better game in this context. Even then, graphical fidelity isn't everything.
I was curious about that, because a game releasing later than another game doesn't mean it wasn't a concept earlier. Especially with indie games some can start as a small project on the side and become something bigger, then it takes 5+ years of development all of a sudden.
@@winxwest2964 What people mean is the gameplay of just being a cat that Stray had very little of and this game does. And as for the graphics both games look good in their own ways. Same with the settings of the games their good own way.

Awweee it looks just like my cat but without the white tummy/chest and socks! It does remind me of Untitled Goose Game but it seems less simple to me, in a good way.
Between this and umbraclaw this may will be awesome for switch games where you play as a black cat (go play the umbraclaw demo it’s so good)

OK I'm quite intrigued. Looks like a Mashup of Stray, Untitled Goose Game, and Short Hike taking place in industrial suburbs, loaded up with cat cuteness. Hopefully this is reviewed really well for me to consider picking it up.

The recent Nintendo switch games are kinda uncanny because I'm familiar with the concepts. The blue underwater game was like a mixture of iconic games. It had so much Abzu feel in it.
