    • Snakes and reptiles run on instinct. If they know you aren’t of any harm to them, they really won’t even bother with biting, they’d sooner crawl away. You’ll never have a relationship per se, but they do learn what you provide and tolerate you if you provide it.

    • I take it you are the person that sees yourself as a cynic of cynics as they are too hopeful for you, Sol Dalaris. I believe humans are neither good nor evil due to factual evidence of this. Your view seems to be biased toward humanity being terrible which is a false statement. Of course, we aren't good by nature either. We exist perpetually in-between like most creatures. The only difference is how far to both extremes we exist. We choose to see the beauty in the world the most, ironically, when we also think that the world might end to our own creations such as nukes. We are walking contradictions like other creatures in this world, whether or not you choose to see us in an optimistic or pessimistic light, and we will never be perfectly good or perfectly bad.

    • Holo, yes! A steward conserves, a non-steward would kill that snake immediately. He embraces the new technology of smart phones, and uses it expressively. And if you can't tell his heart isn't hardened in 1:47 of conversation, maybe you need to age awhile so you know what being hardened with age means.

Plus, it's not very nice to invade a bears space without permission (and it's pretty dumb even if you think you have its permission). But, kindness, experience, and some common sense can absolutely make wildlife feel less wild.

This story teaches that the language of only love and kindness are universal. When we humans are going to learn this? Lots of love and Thankyou to that sweet old man. I learnt something new today.

    • Tony Phillips Just recently while servicing a pool in the country, two rabbits were curious as to what I was doing. I started talking to them, then they approached me and allowed me to give them some head and ear scratches. The were pushing each other away for more attention. It was quite the wonderful experience. I won't forget it.
