Rather than DM me to start a purchase, I'd strongly recommend checking my website first. This will have the most current info on commissions, as well as any portables I've got available for immediate sale: www.gingerofmods.com/immediat...
This video was meant to show more of an entertaining view into the process of designing and building a portable, but you're a loser nerd and want to know more about the technical stuffs then this page has all of that info for you to drool over: www.gingerofmods.com/eclipse
And if you're a giga loser nerd who wants to learn how to build your own, I've compiled some resources for that here: www.gingerofmods.com/building...
Special Thanks
@GmanModz For all the work he's poured into the PS2 and portablizing as a whole to make the process so much more streamlined and easy to understand.
@ShankMods For being the wall to bounce ideas off of throughout this entire video process.
Thanks To My Patrons!

I think that's everything. I hope you enjoyed the video, creating this video was a bit of a disaster, but it was definitely the most fun I've had on any project I've made. See you all soon!

  • Great mod! I do have a question regarding an updated revision. Since there are versions of the slim PS2 that still have their pinouts for the hard drive, have you considered doing a "hard drive" version (instead of USB) but in place of an actual hard drive, convert over to SD (via IDE-to-SD adapter boards)?

    • would make loading times a lot faster, and using a slim ssd to ide converter would make directory listings instant.

  • You should solder an M4XSIO/MC2SIO memory card internally to the main board instead of using the usb to load games. You could just have the SD card slot sticking out the side like a PSP. This method is faster with better game compatibility as long as you use the right version of OPL.

    • Isn't the MC2SIO open source too? If so, he could technically redesign it however he needs it to in order to make it clean asf

  • Love it, this is so cool. Makes me want an official Sony handheld even more now, hope they try to make another once the steamdeck releases.

    • Problem is that Sony didn't treat their previous handhelds with such care as Nintendo does with theirs. That's why they failed and are unlikely to return.

    • @@zanmato94yeah the vita didn’t do as well as they hoped and they seemed to focus more on the ps4 so it’s super unlikely

  • You should create a console that would do universal emulation and sell its mass production via crowdfunding. One project, one product, many revenues.

  • Nice work! Will you consider making a mass console from your portable cut ups? Each console layered in a clear case going to one hdmi port, one storage drive, one cooling system, and all controlled with 4 Bluetooth controllers?
