  • It was clear that Diddy had no real plans for those making the band groups. I’m surprised that Danity Kane and Day 26 had sophomore albums. It wasn’t a surprise at all that Da Band didn’t have a follow up album. If anything it was a surprise that they even had an album released. Just look at how he formatted the group. He just threw a bunch of rappers (and Sara) together for tv purposes. It was clearly for the show. The fights/drama is what kept the ratings up, not the music. And when that got stale he got rid of them smh

    • Almost all of his artists only had one album under his label. Biggie didn't even live to see his 2nd album hit the streets. Mase might have been the only one with 2, I'm not sure..but yeah that's purpose work he did. He paid them next to nothing in the contracts, when the songs are albums making millions he was reaping it all.

  • The game of life is not a team sport, it's a single player tournament. The ones who came into the game with good intentions like Tupac, Malcolm X, Nipsey Hussle etc ended up losing because they had too much heart and soul when that only gets you exploited by others in the desperate pursuit of winning. Guys like Diddy and Jay Z succeed and reap the benefits cause they understand the rules. You can take some but not all, you can love few but not many. If you don't play it like a conquest then you'll get trounced. Sad but true.

    @coolerfactz@coolerfactz5 ай бұрын
    • Right and wrong. It can be a team sport. Everybody just needs to know their role, play their position and all be on the same page. Pac and Nip were way too close to the chaos factors in their lives and unfortunately it brought them down. Malcolm, like Martin, was flat out brought down by the powers that be. Diddy and Jay were in bed (Diddy possibly literally lol) with the gatekeepers of the industry that pushed for their successes and allowed them to become the major figures in the game that they did....
