  • I like Common he plays a real good villain in 95% of the roles he plays

    @fitnessfreak212@fitnessfreak212 Жыл бұрын
    • Well technically in this film Common wasn't really a villain, he was just trying to get a little vengeance/comfort in returning the favor, I mean he's an assassin but was under contract as a guard and he was close to his boss so he took it personal when John killed her even tho John told him it wasn't, all he wanted then and there was to kill Wick and anyone involved, also why John didn't bother finishing him was because he knew he would've felt the same way if he was in common's shoes. A really great story telling imo between these two, I just wish if he was in part 4 to atleast try an get back at wick.

  • If anyone is wondering why throughout the four movies, the normal civilians are not reacting, it's because the world depicted in this series is one where it's basically Gotham City, but with Batman killed and his villains getting the control they always boast about wanting to achieve. The criminal underworld is so powerful that the police force is useless, the military worldwide is too weak to fight them, and the government leaders internationally fear them and let them do whatever they want. The High Table is the real power. Normal society and the criminal underworld coexist, but when caught in the same room as a shooting, you as a normal civilian are not allowed to acknowledge it or interfere. If you do, you will face consequences. Which is why everyone just goes about their day. It is a normal thing to them. In real life, people would be losing their minds and wits just by the first sound of gunfire. To the John Wick world, a gun shot is literally just another normal common event in life.

Maybe people are aware of assassins and treat them the same as wasps or yelling bomb at an airport and try not to do anything to cause panic and get in the line of fire. Just like when everyone panicked at the nightclub, innocent people got hurt and in the way. Would also make sense of all those people stopping around John at Winston's command. You don't know who is an assassin, but when they appear, just stick to the routine.

  • Frederick Forsyth would be having a fit with how silencers are depicted in this if he was still alive. Also this face off between wick and the assassin was so stylish, both waiting for more civilians to leave as they get closer to a fight. There’s a cold sense of honour the two mutually agree to without saying anything before they fight with knives drawn out.
