  • Thank you for sharing. I decided to minimize my journal for 2024 and miss my Classic Planner but your Journal Spreads have given me the inspiration I needed to start decorating my Classic notebook. I love the blue & green girls spread. Thanks again - Beatriz

  • That was so funny. I heard the squeaks and turned around and looked at my dog because I thought it was him. He looked at me like “what?! I’m not making that noise.” lol. I love animals and their expressions.

  • Thanks for showing up and showing real life. Makes you so relatable. Definitely encourages me to journal as it’s such a great way to process feelings. I had no idea about your son. I’m so extremely sorry 😢. You have really been through it and are in my prayers. I know God put you in this position to help others through grief with creativity and lots of laughs at you and bumble and squeaking toys. Keep your beautiful head up. You have no idea how much joy you being us! Wonderful things will happen for you… just wait and see.

  • Oh Mary Ellen, you’ve been through so much loss and trauma! What a resilient woman you are! 💜 Creative journaling has become my favourite thing in planning so I absolutely loved this video! Thanks for sharing your spreads with us. Creativity can help with grief so much. Yes you absolutely just learn to live with grief, it really never does go away. The birthday sunshine spread is my favourite!

  • I'm starting creative journaling because of you. Thank you for being so honest and vulnerable enough to share what you are going through. I like that you state that you don't always get to plan or journal and that's okay. That's life. Sending you love and healing as you continue on your journey with grief and this thing we call life. ✨✨

  • I recently broke off a toxic 25 year relationship and I too am lost. Even when it’s the right thing to do it’s hard to figure what to do next. I have all the right stuff but continue to put off starting my 2024 journals. I keep asking myself what the heck is wrong with me?? So I get it. Keep looking at the spreads you love and you will get inspired, I am sure of it!

    @kristineparisi5842@kristineparisi5842Ай бұрын
    • There is nothing wrong with you! Even if you ended the relationship you still have so much to process. My 23 year marriage ended 5 years ago and it has taken me five long years to finally be in a place where I feel like I’m beginning to find my way back to the person I was before narcissistic abuse derailed me for over two decades. It’s enough that you want to journal right now! I will say it really does help. I had three journals on the go for a long time. A gratitude journal, a rage journal, and a brain dump journal. It’s baby steps. One sentence, three things to be grateful for each day, and rage away when you need to. Now I have one journal and all the rage is gone. You will get there. Maybe not right away, maybe in waves, but you will get there, I promise to you and everyone else reading this comment going through it. You can do it! Love, stranger on the internet!

    • @@juliagoolia72 thanks for taking the time to give such a thoughtful reply. I’m just so mad at myself for wasting so much of my life. At this point it’s probably my last relationship so I am definitely feeling the bitterness. Hoping to get to the indifference stage before it eats me away. I’ve journaled my whole life so I know the benefits I just can’t seem to make it happen. Your 3 journal approach sounds like the perfect solution. Thanks again…

  • I'm a total pastel girl too! Something about those colors makes me feel happier. I loved the self care in early February, and the one in December is adorable! The fact that you're so open about your life, that you don't always work in your planer...it makes me feel better about myself. Your videos give me so much inspiration Mary Ellen! Sending you big, squishy hugs!! 💝💝💝

  • I love these spreads, even the ones that a bit gloomy bc it’s a great avenue to heal & put things into perspective somehow. I really need to go back to creative journaling soon …it has help in the past but I’m so stressed lately that I’ve only done daily sketches to still be creative without the pen sort of speak. Thank God for therapy, without it I will be so lost & it helps cope during the month but next month is going to be tough…we’ll see how that goes. 🦋💎🙏🏻🩵🙏🏻💎🦋

  • When pages get hard to turn I just re-punch them to get rid of the little tiny bits of paper that are causing the problem. It really helps. I just remove the bottom piece and turn the punch over so I can see through the holes to line it up.

  • Your creativity is always amazing to me. I know my own spreads have improved over the last few years, but I always see something you've done that seems so unique. My favorite (I think) was the blue and green from the fall, but many were fabulous. Sending you positive thoughts as you navigate the difficult times in your life. 🌺🌸☘

  • You inspired me to use creative journaling to manage my thoughts and feelings (weather it be happy, sad or anything in between) So far it has been a great tool. Being able to see how others handle grief and how they cope and manage because I too, am still trying to navigate the sudden passing of my father. Thank you for being so open and honest. It helps people more than you even know.

  • Feeling inspired by her new spread layout techniques. I've lost touch with my creativity my cats passed and now I'm also in the process of grieving my grandmother whose been in a stroke induced coma for the past 2 weeks... so Ive been struggling creatively. But its been a therapeutic experience being a part of the planner community that Mary Ellen PWB introduced me too. Now I feel the creative juices flowing again and I'm glad I didn't give up. Grateful for souls like Mary Ellen who utilizes her gifts in a way that someone like me can connect too and that helps me to process tough times too 😊 so thank you ME for your courage and transparency and glad to be part of the planner community ❤ @planningwithebony
