I am a junk journal’er and you are correct, there is no one way to do it. It is a wide open, no rules apply type of art. I got into it to get out of all of the rules of perfection that I place on myself. I take the word junk in junk journal very seriously. 😂 It looks fantastic! 💕

The pages look great and I’m glad to hear you will adding junk journaling content to your channel. I’ve been very curious about it but never really understood what to use it for afterwards, so I’d love to see what you do! Please don’t be so critical of yourself! I love hearing your thoughts processes on things and hearing things like you keep flipping the tape runner over too. It just makes you human and relatable and shows we don’t have to be perfect to do this. To quote (or paraphrase) another context creator, it’s the little imperfections that make it perfect. You are awesome at what you do Mary Ellen!
You never have to apologize for being you. Mistakes or not. Besides, mistakes make you genuine. I love watching you putting a spread together, I learn so much.
It’s comforting to me to know other people make creative mistakes, and seeing how someone fixes their mistakes is very helpful!
I have never seen Bridgerton and I still bought the box and the sticker book from Amazon. I think the stickers give a very Victorian vibe.

I started out as a planner, and I still enjoy that at times. But over the years, I gravitated to junk journaling. Making the book from scratch and all that goes with it. You are so right about how it eases anxiety. Junk journaling has helped me get through some sad & painful stuff in my life. Art takes me to another place. I love how you combine art and planning. Keep being unique, Mary Ellen...it makes you special.

I've been saving cards from different people and times in my life because of the sayings or the cover along with some other "junk" knowing I wanted to do something with them one day, just not what that was. But now thanks to you I now know what I can do with it all. This makes me super excited!☺

My word is "ME". I'm going to do everything every day for me. I too have alot of loss in my family. My hubby and my dister-my best friend both within six months of each other. I thought my sister would be here and help me through the holidays and the rest of my life or at least some, but COVID took her. They passed away in 21 and it's 24 and and I'm still in the same life boat I was in then. I need to start living a life. Get dressed every day. Get outside. Ectect. So 2024 word of the year is ME!!!

This was a fun and inspirational video MaryEllen! I really enjoyed this. I prefer seeing mistakes and trial and error vs. perfection. I love what you did with this. I ordered the Be Happy Box, and just got it yesterday. I didn't even know what the Bridgerton Series was when I ordered it. lol I have since looked it up, and realized I did was some of it, but I don't remember when, or much of what happened. I'm not sure if I will watch it anymore of it or not. I agree, you can like the box, and things, without knowing the series. However, I really want to know the symbolism of the bee. Is it just because their name starts with a B, so they thought to put a bee in there? I saw a video where this lady is going to use the notebook from the Be Happy Box as her journal. I thought that was a fantastic idea! The notebook itself is gorgeous, and those lined, papers with the decoration down the middle are so fancy! I ordered both of the Amazon planners as well. I may or may not use them. My main objective was to get those discs with the bee cutouts! Once I looked at the planners though, they are very pretty! Take care!

I have the same problem using tape runner! I added an adhesive rhinestone on the top of mine so I could tell the difference

I have a hard time with Junk Journals for myself. I have a hard time just "letting go" it is going to be what it is going to be and say, well this is mismatched, I like it.. umm not me.
