When I'm driving in the snow, especially at night, I'm anything but relaxed.
Relaxed does not come to mind. Blinded anxious praying to God is more like it for me

When I was going to Poland, my brother made a wrong turn and we ended up driving like 30 minutes through a slovakian snowy forest in the middle of nowhere at night with no cars around

I imagine traveling down some stretch of road in my fully-stocked and loaded RV with the company of a few friends, hot chocolate and the sound of the wind rushing past the windows.
Ah man, that sounds like perfection. One friend at the wheel, one next to him searching for some nice relaxing music, one in the back preparing some nice hot cocoa. What I'd give to experience this.

I am a widow with children and I am the only driver in the home. I miss being driven places. I miss leaning the seat back and just enjoying looking around, not having to be vigilent, watching for traffic, animals, pedestrians, etc. This was delightful. A real treat. Keep driving and I will keep pouring hot coffee for you --I will even let you drink my share because ---one, I don't drink coffee, and two, I have never been cold a day in my life. Drive on! :)

Torrysanidiot, how is it even possible not to have ever been cold in your life?? Ever have chills from a fever? Ever have shivering shock after childbirth? Air conditioner too cold? Do you live in a perpetually hot climate? I’d truly like to know. Are you unable to feel cold?
@@amypetra5021 I have a congenital brain malformation in which my brain is actually bigger than my skull. As a result, part of my brain (cerebellum) descends out of my skull and is compressed between my skull and my spinal cord. For people with this malady, the symptoms may be different, depending on how much and exactly where the brain is compromised. I have countless co-morbidities and one of those is an inability to regulate my body temperature. I cannot process heat, and conversely, I do not feel the cold like other people do. My illness is not treatable with pain killers, so while I cannot feel the cold like other people may, it can and does somewhat serve as a pill killer of sorts. The cold is my life, literally. I moved from SC to Wyoming and it has changed my life dramatically.

This is hypnotic and I can watch it for a long time. Maybe it's because I live in a place that rarely gets snow, so I like snow storms and other snow phenomena, to me it's cosy and a change of scenery.

I've only driven at night in a snow once in my life, from Albuquerque to Flagstaff and the snow was doing this and I found it mesmerizing. I had to focus to keep from just staring at the snowflakes disappearing into the windshield. Thanks for this (and glad you weren't listening to the radio, or if you were, that you overdubbed it).

The is so much snow, but not a single snowflake touches the windshield. And, no matter where the car is headed, it seems to be going against the snowfall.

I love being out in blizzards. I always make sure I’m out in the worst of it.
One time when I was driving in snow like this I got snow hypnosis. It was very scary. It made me just want to fall asleep right there. I had to pull over and wait for the snowfall to change. I had two children in the car with me so no way I was going to risk it. It was SOOOOOO powerful. I kept trying to not get sucked into it, and it just kept pulling me in.
What is snow hypnosis?
@@larko2717 Basically getting hypnotized by snow. It's the same as being hypnotized by some professional hypnotizer or something. It just puts you in a state where you are not aware of yourself and that something else is controlling you.

This reminds me of being a very little girl in the car in a similar storm. My dad was driving us all home from a long drive, and we felt so safe and cozy. Dad had it in hand, and we knew it would be okay. Thanks for the reminder, of a great memory.

@Vincent Macedo-Iannone same here. don’t know what it is but i love driving in snow. I live in GA so when it snows everyone hurries home, but i put on my boots and coat and bring emergency food and water in the car and i just drive around. cant explain the thrill i get

Reminds me of driving in Cobelskil, Upstate, NY. Before we'd get snowed in, me and my buddies would drive around in the snow, smoke joints, race through the farmlands. Those nights look and sound exactly like this clip. Thank you.

okay I caught where you say it's a LOOP. the light on the right side and immediately another light on the left side. it's a very clean LOOP. Sadly I didn't even catch the stop sign on the right side until about the 4th loop

I love being a passenger while driving in the snow at night, (especially bundled up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate in my hands after doing Christmas shopping either in silence or with Christmas music-) And I love watching it... But driving in it myself, *no way.*

Driving in a snow storm is always challenging, I notice that you were the only one driving and I didn't see any 🏘️ houses, I think you were in the deep rural area, what I call no mans land.
Sometimes... I don't have words that can do justice to what I feel. Like watching this (a little drunk) and being reminded that, sometimes, I don't need the words. I just let it take me..
This is beautiful, but also a little creepy with the sound of the wind...I love driving in the snow, which I don't get to do very often. I live in the deep South...the only thing I get is a clear road when it first starts snowing. Thank you so much!

I like driving in snow like this as long as I'm the only one on the road.
this aint a blizzard. When you drive during a blizzard in the night all you see is that snow falling but intensified like you’re getting hypnotized and you can’t see anything AT ALL around you so when you drive during a blizzard you gotta look for the yellow line or look at the snowbanks to stay on the right side of the lane
I do not care if this loops like every 30 mins. I would love to see if for 6+ hours.
"Relieve your stress." This is actually a little stressful because I'm from an area where deer are plentiful and can come out at any moment. So, I'm always hyper-aware when I drive out in areas like that. Especially at night. Especially in the winter. The joys of living in Michigan.

A Christmas memory from years ago in the midwest. I was probably ten at the time. It was Christmas Eve and we'd been to the little wooden Presbyterian church for candlelight service and were driving home through heavy snowfall that had started while we were inside. I sat between my sisters in the back seat staring out the front window at the hynotic, silent lines of snow, listening to the soft sweep of the wipers, trying to stay awake long enough to make it home to our warm dry farm house. A preecious memory.

"on my way home from work in the city and I work at a grocery store I started to stay in town with my cousin who lives near the store but I thought I could make it home before it started to snow, but midway between the city and the rural area here it began snowing, the wind began picking up and began blowing the drifts of snow into my view, just like eight more miles to go,I temporarily pull over and stop and call my house and tell my wife I'll be home as soon as I can, I'm just around the bend from my house and I see my front yard and driveway I'm home finally and now things are okay until the weekend is over and I pray that the snow stops but home now so take care everyone through this bad weather stay warm and dry and most of all GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK'S."-😇🙏🌐..

Which ever way you turn the snow is ALWAYS coming straight at you. That means it is coming straight down, NO WIND. "Cept for a couple of years in Ak, I've lived in Colorado all my life. I'm VERY well acquainted with both wind and snow.
