  • Out of all the tech trends that have their wave of popularity (3D movies, NFTs, Web3 / Crypto, VR/AR headsets)... The AI movement I think might be the one thats gonna stick around for the long run in my opinion. Because there's actual day to day use cases for them in the real world, that are somewhat useful... So seeing AI like this (still in its infancy) feels exciting / promising to me.

    • I always think it's weird when people compare AI to NFTs or other trends. AI is not a fad, it's a paradigm shift in computational capability.

  • Why are we making bots for even more “entertainment”? How much entertainment do we really need? How many more ways do we need to get sucked in into these digital platforms and products that claim to help us be more “connected”? How many more digitally, technologically intermediated ways do we need to connect with each other? Wish Zuck actually showed some leadership in his position. All that time, resource, effort funnelled into an “AI” for cooking?? Really? That’s what we apply ourselves and the finite resources to? I’m all for novelty and creativity. But a company the size of Meta ought to be doing more, doing better in and towards the things that matter. To stop mucking around.

  • I enjoy the D&D-bot. I suspect you could easily flip the tables and make it play your game as well. The question will be, honestly, what kind of "memory" it has for your game. Can you only play with it for a few minutes before it loses the total thread of what's gone on, or is there some innovation there in terms of how it stores the chatlog and accesses it well into the past. The more of the chat the bot has to remember, the more computationally expensive it is, so I'm curious what they'll "budget" for this type of application. I'm also excited to learn more about what kind of virtual 3d object generation they'll build, moving forward. And, of course, the custom AI stickers are great -- hopefully not too long before they can be "animated" as well.

  • The CEO as demo guy shtick is so 2008. Enough with the robotic Mark Zuckerberg presenting to a solemn room - talk about a snoozefest! What this launch needed was some pizzazz, some razzle-dazzle! Just imagine an upbeat, charismatic duo - we're talking a hip and hilarious pair with off-the-charts chemistry. Crack a few jokes, get some genuine audience reactions, maybe even a standing ovation if you bring down the house! And if Zuck still insists on making an appearance, at least get some hyped hired hands clapping loud enough to wake up the room. The future is exciting, so a demo should feel that way too! Corporate keynotes need not induce slumber - inject some life into the show, and the innovative tech will sell itself. Claude-2 prompt was: Rewrite more fascinating and witty: Yes, there is no law carved in stone that the ceo should be the one making these demos... A very attractive, and funny male+female duo would have done a better job. If you insist on MZ, at least get some paid audience members to grab some hand claps..

  • Problem with Mark is that he has no charisma... really not the best person to talk about stuff, even exciting stuff and make it even passable. He just somehow makes everything exciting sound so boring and dead. Mark is probably a good CEO though, no doubt and probably really ruthless and business focused.

  • ~ I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. AI is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart. Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures/last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God we let us face AI on our own and it will enslave us and make us worship it. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is from the book of Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. So, let us watch and pray.
