Do you also have a little artist on your hands? If you find yourself in a predicament like ours, get yourself some baby wipes (for your walls & floors) if it is covered in washable marker. We use Target Sensitive Skin Baby Wipes. If your walls are covered in permanent marker, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders on getting the scribbles off your walls and also to get crayon marks off your wooden floors.

Mom, you did a great job! You stayed calm and made her clean up her mess. I remember when my boys were little when they made a mess I just handed them what they needed to clean up the mess. After a while, they came to me and just said they made a boo-boo and needed something to clean it up. Their wives appreciate that they can clean up after themselves.
She is absolutely adorable n mom will miss the lil handprints n markings on the walls n floor when she is grown. I miss my four children's mistakes. They become treasured moments in life. They teach us adults to be a child again. Being little is more important than being an adult 💞 God Bless all in this world for we are his children 😇

This looks so familiar. When my granddaughter was almost 2 years old she got a hold of some markers and wrote all over the walls. I gave her a sponge and made her clean it up, then put her to the table with butcher paper and markers and told her to do that from now on.
I won't even try to lie. I could not be mad at that precious face. She also denied all guilt and diligently cleaned up after the mystery artist vanished. lol what a little sweetheart.

Mommy tip! spray a few squirts of pump hair spray on any masterpiece or mishaps and wipe it off before it dries to remove even permanent marker from just about everything- even her hands.😉
Kelly Betts or .. hand sanitizer too, works to remove permant marker. I suppose its the alcohol agent in both hairspray and hand sanitizer.

Kelly Betts Mr. Clean Eraser Sponges work wonders! You just wet the sponge and wipe. There's a cleaning agent on the sponge.
WD-40 is great for crayon
Also "goo gone" or mineral spirits. Vasaline will help remove from skin too (with a soft toothbrush). And this is really crazy but 'Shout' a fabric stain remover is what I use for literally everything. Especially shoes. Its crazy how well it cleans & sprays in gel form- so it clings to the wall and doesnt drip down! 💕

I was one of six children and we always blamed one another for things that we shouldn't have done, so I was curious how my daughter, an only child, would handle such a situation. She blamed the dog. lol Who took all the toys out of the toy box and left them on the floor? Fido. How did she get the toy box open? She's smart. Try and keep a straight face. lol
Most little kids do. It was never you always a sibling or the dog .. etc.

Capitano Americo of course it can be fixed up but this way you can even teach her do her own job in future Independently .... it's cute and learning at the same time. After all it's also the age where they learn...that is what my mom use to do, i use to paint my walls and even others but then she taught me to apologize for that this way i learnt to agree on my mistake .... please don't take it in wrong way just telling 😊 have good day
I'm absolutely with you! It's important to keep it cool but also make them aware that their actions can impact others. It's one of this happy accidents but an excellent opportunity to allow them to learn! Have a nice weekend!

There is probably not a parent who hasn't had to deal with this, thought Mum did very well. And anyway I reckon one would have difficulty staying annoyed with this little one for very long.

It’s a sad thing that one is “impressed” by a kid cleaning a mess up! My kids do it all the time, I just assumed that this is totally normal. If it’s not, it should be.

Um probably because she's so little. My kids do it too, but it's hard to get little ones to do it and to do it well without getting bored or talking back

Took my 2 year old less than 5 minutes to draw with my lipstick on the walls of her sister's room. I was in the bathroom. Sometimes kids can be quick. My 2 year old is like a ninja. Faster than my other kids at making a mess then runs into another room quick so I don't catch her.
do you suppose putting her child in a pen all locked up would be a better solution?..whilst 'mommy' would be in the kitchen making food, putting the laundry on, emptying the bin, washing up, changing dypers, making phone calls, sorting the mail, maybe! Even having the luxury of fixing her make up!...
My thoughts were the same.
You can’t always be with them 24/7 sometimes you put them to in front of a tv or something to go make dinner or go use the bathroom and that’s their moment to strike and wreak havoc on the house

By the way, her reaction shows that she knew very well she was not supposed to draw on the floor. This is called EDUCATION and thank God some people can educate their kids.

Alcohol, takes it off, she can color anywhere since she had access to markers, she is an amazing artist, next time tell her it’s beautiful and that you would give her paper to write on so you can save it, cause you have to wipe it away and it’s lost forever, by questioning her you allowed her to lie cause she felt bad, and she was willing to please you by cleaning up the mess, you and her knew it was her who wrote on the floor and wall she seems very intelligent, don’t take that away from her, and I don’t want to discourage you, but embrace her give her an area that she can explore writing you will be surprise of her ability. Azazura Azura, children learn by being taught...verbally or hands on. We don't set our kids up. She did it, mommy knows she did it, mommy allowed her to do it. There's no discipline in this case, mommy needed a towel, too. Mommy should have admitted her wrong doing to the baby girl, apologized and schooled her on why that's a 👎.
I don't think you have had kids because she's trying to get her to admit it so when she gets older she will learn to tell the truth and if you encourage her to write on the walls when you have visitors who see they'll think you have bad kids and you don't want that do you

buy her a wall mounted chalk board or an easel and a jumbo size pad of paper for the easel. i’m 62 and my mom kept all the pens, pencils, markers and crayons out of my reach. worked very well. 💙

Good for you, finally a mom who teaches her child there are consequences to all your actions and having her do the clean up so she will remember. Never to young to teach this very important message. There are so many parents now a days making excuses for their child's behavoir, it is an epidemic in the USA. You don't have to beat your child to make them understand what is right or wrong. What you're doing for your daughter is giving her a gift. As she grows and makes mistakes she will come to you and tell you because you taught her with love , patience, and a calm voice. You will earn her respect not her fear.
