  • I always told my daughter , when she was a baby, to tell me a baby story. She would coo and gurgle and laugh. Those days end too soon. My baby is 50 now.

  • It’s no wonder he’s a happy baby. His mom is magic! She talks with him. One day, soon, he will talk back in words she understands, and Mom’s eyes will suddenly grow too large for her head. That will be her reward for being so good at her job! What a wonderful pair.

    • @@happyface9000 , right... babies are inherently adorable. It is a survival method that is nature driven. While she is totally absorbed with this infant , the older child is absolutely ignored. This poor child could develop resentments toward this sibling and maybe his mother for shutting him out. Mom could go do other mom things and let this older sibling fall in love with the baby, by talking to him and sharing a special moment.

For about half an hour I talked to him & he also made noises, trying to talk. I actually lost all sense of where I was, & the other mums & babies. We were totally wrapped up in our own little world. I did not speak baby talk either. It was a precious time I will never forget. He never took his eyes off me, he didn't cry or wriggle he just lay in my arms & kept 'talking' & I responded.

  • My daughter had ear problems so barely talked at all until surgery at age 4! My son was the talker! What a difference when a child hears normally!

  • That's a long time for a little infant to focus so intently. That's some of the most rapid learning taking place of any human except babies. They are massive sponges. Not to mention massive cuteness.
