  • I like how the post battle data mentions a Life Orb was used alongside the Mega Stones. Rayquaza doesn't need a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve, so it has a free item slot it can use to hold the Life Orb and further boost its damage output.

  • I love how disgustingly tanky Aggron, Steelix and Tyranitar are, to the point where they can only be killed by being flung into space. Also nice detail that they were technically killed by Seismic toss, a move that does fixed damage ignoring your defenses

  • I love how the first two things Rayquaza does after coming down is 1) take out Sabyleye, presumably for what it did to Diancie, and 2) take out Heracross, presumably for destroying the mega meteor and for taking out Mewtwo. Rayquaza is obviously pissed about its tea party being ruined, but it's almost certainly also pissed about what happened to its fellow tea party guests!

    • Talk to the Pokédex. Tyranitar is supposed to have impenetrable armor, therefore Mewtwo’s super effective moves are nullified... despite the fact it’s defenses are only slightly above average. Umbreon, the little dark, moon-loving generic mammal, has much better defenses than Tyranitar. The Pokédex is dumb, sometimes.
