The Tron-ised Disney castle at the beginning was one of the coolest parts.

The movie itself is stunning! Just watched it yesterday and I'm lovin it. The Grid Battles with Light Discs and Light Cycles are amazing! It's a showstopper. The score by Daft Punk is very catchy too. Disney, please make TRON 3 !
I'm not a sci-fi buff but this is one of the best movies I've EVER seen. I really don't know why critics are so harsh.
Opening bike scene + The Son of Flynn = one of the greatest scenes ever made.
Best sequel ever made. Especially since it was filmed 20 years apart, followed the story line perfectly, and made great references to the first movie.
I think Tron has to be one of my favourite movies of all time, definitely within the top 3. I just love the effects and atmosphere! music by Daft Punk is brilliant too, helps make the movie! watched this again last night, honestly makes you feel as if your there...love it

i saw this movie high! It was epic! Best movie ever!
I was 13 when I saw the original tron, and it was a graphical masterpiece, revolutionary and with great deep point in the story. I guess this movie gains about 500% of intensity when you have seen the original. Seeing Bridges being trapped inside for almost 30 years is incredible.
Not too bad for a Disney movie. it plays the same premise as the original. The special effects and digital cinematography are entertaining enough to keep this film going. Plus, Olivia Wild is always nice to look at.

Cyberpunk at its pure, essential and daft-punky state. The aesthetic perfection in a movie, without using colossal digital effects for the mainstream, just the essence of them. In a word: Elegance
I thought this movie was gonna suck. I went to see It and It's one of my favorite movies. Bought the sound track and Xbox game since.
HOW ON EARTH DIDN'T THIS MOVIE RECIEVE AN OSCAR FOR BEST ART DIRECTION AND SOUNDTRACK?! The Oscars are an utter FAIL, that's why! Juts a bunch of old men who don't know about true music nor art. I'm not saying the nominated scores were bad... but please, Hans Zimmer has gotten thousands of best scores... Why not let Daft Punk win?

I just saw this movie an hour ago in 3D and it was simply amazing! The colours, the specticles and the general story-line was great! A-must-see-movie!!!

this movie was pretty epic. a lot of people say it was shallow and lacked a good plot, but i would disagree. it focuses a lot on the philosophical part of creating a virtual world like the one in tron, and it showcases some truly spectacular visuals and soundtracks. i honestly came to the theater with mediocre expectations and came away astounded by how good it was. the characters, acting, music, story, and effects were all very amazing, this is a movie you cannot miss.

I saw the original back in 1982. I never thought that there would be a sequel after 28 years. I really cannot wait to see this.

Watched this yesterday, Amazing. i'm a big fan of the original & this didn't let me down. Still has the darker side to it. Probably the best soundtrack to accompany a movie ever also, 4/5. a must see
this was absolutely the movie for our generation....not ahead of its time and not too late. it was really marvelous

I just finished watching this on blu-ray. The experience was amazing, seriously. As far as visuals, its by far the best movie I ever saw. It beats Avatar as far as graphics, and the storyline is 50x times better then avatar. I recommend it to anyone who likes movies with nice visuals effects, this is the best EVER.
I sat in the front row of the original when it opened- it was packed.. my white shirt glowed and it was INCREDIBLE- the whole experience. I hope this is worth the wait because I have been waiting a lifetime for it. My fear is that Flynn (Jeff Bridges) will just be a "MacGuffin". I cannot wait, counting the days for this and the Starblazers movie (Space Battleship Yamato). It's great to be alive and live long enough to see your childhood passions be realized in Film on the Big Screen!
I saw this movie tonight and I must say, it was really cool. I mean, I wouldn't say that it was the best movie of the year, but it had great special effects and a good storyline (although it raised some questions). At times, it was a bit uneventful, but the scenery was always stunning and the music score fit very well with the movie:)

I liked this movie better than Avatar , the story was ok but the visuals and music were just on a totally different level. The first sci fi movie in many years which takes your breath away. Daft Punk created probably the best soundtrack I have ever heard
I hope this does well at the Box office and that there is a 3rd installment. This movie was truly a masterpiece!!

I loved the original tron, I was 7 when it was released and VCR's hadn't been around all that long. Loved the movie as a kid, it was beyond it's years for the film industry (leave it to Disney). Not sentimental but I still have the VHS Tape of it, those things never wear out.

i remember seeing this in the cinema while waiting for saw 7 to play and then i saw this and got really exited and started being interested in tron since i heard so much about the first movie and im really proud to be able to say that i knew about the first movie BEFORE this sequel

The best movie i have seen in a very long time...The 3-D is amazing! Great music, amazing storyline, special effects everywhere! Action, adventure, suspense. Great Job Disney, 5 STARS all the way. If you are thinking about seeing this movie, don't wait another minute...GO.GO.GO see it! The commercial doesn't show half how amazing this movie is. For such an amazing movie, the really don't show you much on the commercials.

@Jeric177 thats because clue was just an animation. this was the sequal to the original tron made in 1982. and clue (jeff bridges) looked exactly like that in the old movie.

I wish there was more of Tron himself in the movie. But there will definitely be another Tron movie, which will include him. At least the ending tells it so.
just went back from cinema, watched the movie for the second time. For me, the movie was amazing...
WATCHED IT TODAY....LOVED IT... Gonna watch it again !! One of the best movies that I have seen. Does full justice to its earlier version. If you haven't watched it yet, DON'T THINK....just go for Tron Legacy.
Indeed I saw it in the 3D, the story was ok-ish, but one of the better live action Disney movies that i've seen (no cheezy lines, a more serious plot.. finally). The musical score for this was pretty epic and the visuals were just stunning! I wasn't really expecting much from this movie when I saw the trailers. Having said that, I thought the movie was great, better than I expected. So go watch this not expecting much and you will be more than satisfied. :D
@Ephemerance i agree i totally understand the legacy part in the title because tron in the end fought for the users, he kept his legacy by somewhat saving them

@Jeric177 thats because clue is an animation. this is the sequel to the the original movie made in 1982. and clue (jeff bridges) was the star in that older version and he looked just like he does in the 2010 version of the movie now. so yeah clue is just an animation.
Amazing movie - changed my life. And it's a metaphore for this dualistic holografic world we live in.. Tron is simply genius.

I saw the trailer to this in IMAX Amsterdam yesterday.. that sound was SOOOOOOO immens lol, felt it in my guts. I definetely will be going to this film
I whatched this movie on the IMAX,and it's just so incredible that I cryed. IN the oppening sequence I felt like I was flying man, literally flying. If I could get to meet the genius who invented all this.... I don't even know!

I was never one for effects, so long as the film had an amazing storyline and decent actors then it passed .... This film blew me away! I was so excited after seeing the trailer when i went to see Inception, someone behind me said "whats Tron" I wanted to slap them =O Amazing sequel!!!

That Awkward Moment Where You Discover The Grid, And Forget To Feed The Dog..
At first I wasn't sure if I really wanted to see it. But then I watched it in imax 3-D and the visual effects were awesome. I would recomend you see it. And its cool how they cast some people from the original in the new one. My favorite part was when the dj's started playing derezzed I love that song.
