    • Despite some of the remaining dents, I'd have to argue that his restore may look better now than when the Tonka was new.

    • Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing to myself. The weird swoopy designs they have now just don't compare. I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado, at least it pays some homage to the old square bodies of the 70's to 80's.

He passed away when I was twelve and unfortunately my grandmother gave away my toy truck. Keep looking for another one would love to have it again one day. But great work love it!

  • when i was in kindergarten tonka was my thing, if you had a sandbox you had a tonka truck, i remember being no older then four and my mom took me and my sister along with my dad to a flea market and i found a huge bin of pressed steel played with tonka trucks, my little mind imploded and i just sat in the guys stall playing with the trucks and cars, the guy gave me the entire crate for free because i reminded him so much of his son when he was a little boy, those trucks could take a beating back in the day (granted my day is early 2000's). those trucks came to school with me, to the beach, parks, even to Quebec in the summer! i have fond memories of racing them down my uncles driveway since it was a hill with my cousins, i remember the big dump truck and riding around in that thing and flying down hills with it, some of those old trucks still remain, others have been sold in yard sales or giving to friends new babies. maybe one day the rest will go to my own kids once i have some
