You don't know what your are talking about when it comes to gillnets. I started life in a thatch roof hut in a fishing village where we had a VW buss turned generator for our only electrical needs for the occasional village party and movie night. If we couldn't have gillnets we'd have not survived. My wife's family has 3 boats and employ's the men of as many families for a small scale fishing and distrobution outfit with gillnets supplying local bazars in their developing nations rural community. some places have no roads and must be hiked in and out of. your marshmallow view of the world being the same everywhere is seriously ignorant, bigoted, and disrespectful. the good news is you can change you mind if this reality opened your eyes at all. and don't let the American gulf coast shimpers get on this comment section. they are exploited enough by regulations that make them RENT their permission and quota to make pennies on the dollar from keyboard cowboys who don't even own a vessel.
