Why is the default replacement for checkpoints just to make a giant hole in the map lol
There are two types of checkpoints, the gate checkpoints are placed on top of the block, so if you remove them, the road beneath will stay there, but for regular checkpoints, if you remove them, the entire block together with the ground gets removed

I dont play trackmania but isnt it possible to take the opening on the left into the snow off track at the start and hit the snow hill to jump the first hole in floor? Should be able to maintain speed into the next turn

I love when game devs have collision on out-of-bounds objects. It makes things so much more interesting!
The moment I saw checkpointless, I knew it had to be possible, as shown in the video the stadium itself tends to have crazy reach and when your only goal is to reach the finish, it's pretty straight forwards when no other method works.
0:39 Made me think that there's can be some lucky bounce from this borders that allow you to get on top of at least one snowy later to drive, so you will be able to pass first cp

why couldnt you just... add paths where the checkpoints are?
The challenge is to only remove the blocks and don't add anything to help the player. With checkpoints replaced by normal blocks, every map would be beatable the regular way or with some kind of shortcut to make it faster which is not as interesting
But you didn't lie tho )_) impossible means smth like - insanely hard but can still be done

While I appreciate the freedom the game gives us to drive anywhere, I hate that the 'stadium roof solution' thought pops into my mind on so many kacky maps...
After I saw the reco4d was over 10 minutes there's a lot of room for improvement. I've never played this game but might just fir this one truck record 😂
