There is websites for bedrock edition for high quality mods, there is a small but really creative community of mod and map creators on bedrock, mainly people that played console edition. MCPEDL is the main website, but some bedrock creators also use curseforge.
Also PojavLauncher is a Java launcher for mobile with limited mod support but you can download maps and use any version of the game, but you must own java edition or have game pass.

@@stromchaser32I disagree. 1.16 and 1.18 got us entirely new terrain generation, new biomes mobs and mechanics, tons of new blocks. 1.19 introduced the biggest structure in minecraft, new light sources, wireless redstone, new mobs and some very useful mechanics. 1.20 Introduced archeology along with some highly requested features such as interactable bookshelves, a mob that can be ridden by two players, cherry trees, bamboo wood and cosmetic modification for armor as well as a new light engine. 1.21 So far has a new structure , the auto crafter which has been highly requested, spawners that give rewards and reset, containers that have unique loot for each player, more block variations for copper and tuff, new mobs, wind charges, a new light sources that doubles as a t flip-flop, wolf armor(though that's getting realed before the update) and more is to be revealed. I can go in even more detail but I think this is enough to say that the recent updates are in no way insignificant.

And although the game still has a lot of players the player base is far from its peak. All I'm saying is that if microtransactions were removed and their was more communication between the developers and player base the game would be making more money from new players and players would find the game to be 10x better

Important reminder: Mojang had hidden away a developer edition of Minecraft Bedrock and only given it to Marketplace Developers. They accidentally released a developer edition, but then patched it in another update and lied that the features were not possible to implement despite clearly working in the developer version. The developer edition had op modding tools like AI behavior modification and even multiple F3 menus. They could have cultivated a modding community that is just as strong as Java's but instead locked it behind closed doors. When the version was rediscovered by the public, Mojang falsely striked people using various excuses such as "stylized logo" or "unauthorized gameplay". Marketplace partners like Compycraft also assisted in the censorship of the videos. They wanted to get rid of developer edition so badly that just mentioning the existance of it could get your video striked It was so bad that Mojang's legal team hunted underground communities like in Discord that just discussed about developer edition. They purged discord servers and tried to shadowban Thankfully Antvenom made the video exposing Mojang, but Mojang still didnt compensate for the false strikes

A reminder to all that the marketplace is community-built content hosted in the game to circumvent Console's file system restrictions (mods generally aren't allowed in any game, the marketplace gets around that). Programs like this give the community dev teams a way to make a living by creating minecraft content, which I think is pretty great. There's no shortage of free content online like on Java either, just now there's a paid official program on top of it.

@@ryko1478 The precedent I'd be worried about is if they got rid of Native Import Support for Free content and made the Marketplace the ONLY way to get content. As long as both are allowed, welcomed, and officially supported, I'm happy to have both. I do think sites like mcpedl could do a better job at partnering with Mojang or advertising, but it works very smoothly and I appreciate that. (If unaware, there's an entire file format just for minecraft -- .mcaddon and .mcworld and .mcpack, just so they import easier into the game).

How did Mojang think we would react to this? Excitement? Would you react with joy if your favorite food got dirt on it? All this does is make your players feel more and more hurt and disappointed. This proves that Mojang doesn’t ACTUALLY listen. They gave us the cave update to make it look like that they care, and now they give us more micro-transactions instead of more content to the actual game we paid for.
