I'm sure YG is just playing and his goal is probably to make HYUNSUK and SEUNGHUN work harder and not get full of themselves BUT i can't stand watching them cry and feel so bad about themselves. The title is sort of click bate but one day i probably will make a true "everything wrong with YG treasure box" talking about all the trainees. I know its hard for some people to support the show because they don't want to get too attached to trainees who might not debut but i encourage you to support them because knowing YG, low ratings will hurt the boys even more...

I think that YG may be so hard on Hyunsuk because he really wants him to succeed but I think that sometimes he’s a bit too harsh
That journey he had really helped in building the precious gem we have since the beginning till now, just a lot more stronger. The challenges he had faced, although I trully also see it as too cruel, had made him, in my eyes, more loveable and genuine
There are many ways to motivate and push someone to improve without hurting them, what YG is doing here is just harsh and disrespectful towards the boys.
This just shows the difference between naturally born talented people with their respective gifts and just some ordinary man. Age doesn’t matter to those who are gifted. YG praises those people becuz he recognizes their ability as they can bring massive fortune to him and his company. But he was feeling meh and hesitant to entrust everything to Hyunsuk just because he’s a normal kid who has very faint potential. Instead he trash talked him, drag him down and made him feel so little in a sense to disgard Hyunsuk as long as he could; but at the same time, unconditionally trained him to work harder so that he could be somewhat useful to him in the future, afterall, he’s a YG trainee. Hyunsukie proved him wrong by training so hard in every aspect; even by enduring everything YG said to him as a mean to train his emotional states and to get mentally stable. Back then he might’ve only thought them as he flaws (that he wasn’t good enough) whenever YG trash talk him. But in the end, he got so matured that he was able to accept the reality (there’s an invisible hierarchy that there are always people who are better than you) by acknowledging his defeat to the other rookie boy. He was happy and smiling as he walked off stage and went back to trainee life as he gave all his best and knew deep down that there are people who love him. So the incapabilities he once thought were his flaws was nothing but an inferior human complex towards bias favoritism and he now regards them as his graces (stepping stone for greater accomplishment) after realizing that everybody is different and there’s an individuality and personality to every single beings. It’s foolish to compare who’s better or what not. Even though it is true that people can be extremely good at something, this doesn’t mean they can be excel at every single thing in life. We all have our own colors and are exceptional at what we do best. But if you wanna achieve something you’re passionate about but out of your league, you simply go out of your comfort zone, experience things and try your hardest and it will pay off at the end. Bottom line is that you just gotta work on yourself, accept who you are and focus on what you wanna be; not who or what you’re trying to become.

@@heizeking3557 Gdragon have told once that yg used to make him write songs everyday and while bigbang used to practice he used to monitor them through CCTV cam to make sure if they are being lazy. GD used to feel that the training was so cruel for him. He felt like he is not getting enough appreciation. But he himself told that after he got debut he understood the value of that harsh training. That helped him to fight against the harsh comments and criticisms. And another thing yg artists get hate even if they breath. Yg not only train their artist to be top tiers but also train them to face a cruel and evil industry out there.
I never was this mad before, but really, YG has a gem with hyunsuk, and the only thing he's doing is making his life harder. Really, at first, he put him in mixnine, and even with obstacles, hyunsuk made him a place in the final team, and for what? YG didn't even care about debuting them, and now he says that my baby doesn't have the talent to debut? Really? I see Choi Hyunsuk being the next GD in the industry, he is charismatic, has great style & great at both dancing & rapping. I too saw the time when he was out of A team, it was extremely painful to see. I expected both seung hoon & him to be the final members but we always dun understand many of the choices YG makes. I'm just glad he made it eventually & even became the Leader of Treasure.

YG is grooming him into package idols and leader when he would debut. Isn't it his pattern he always harsher to the talented and leader? Mixnine is blessing in disguise for him.
Hyunsuk is the ONLY 4th gen idol with that type of swag and flow, it would have been a BIG loss if yg left him go. So, this is my opinion. YG will debuting Hyunsuk no matter what, because HE KNOW that Hyunsuk is so talented boy. He can debut at Mix9 back then, but because YG problem, hyunsuk must to join another survival show, YGTB. I can see that YG love Hyunsuk and will debuting him but he don't want us to know, so he can playing our emotion (well, thats commercial trick). And now, Hyunsuk is THE LEADER OF TREASURE. The last member announced. Look how proud we are, Hyunsuk is sooooo talented and the most humble, sweetie heart I ever know. I believe that he and the members will WIN "Rookie of the year" ❤
Byungoon actually said at the first or second ep. that YG like Hyunsuk a lot so he most likely will debut. what YG did is for his own good. Hyunsuk is good and an all arrounder but YG needs a strong leader. No matter how talented you are if you are not strong enough to handle failures and discouragements then you dont fit to be a leader. YG see Hyunsuk as a potential leader but he have to train him in some in those aspect. Once they debut and became famause, not only those harsh words they might receive. Hyunsuk must be ready and know how to handle those harsh words cuz he needs to support his members who rely on him.

I'm watching this in 2020 and I'm realizing he's been through so much failure and disappointment to get to where he is now. But if you think about it, YG pushed him that far because he wanted him to become a better idol. YG might have done things that aren't right, but the way he trains his idols, no one can deny that it's not the right way. It might seem like they're going too hard on them, but it's for their own good.

Hyunsuk is a YG leader this position is not easy to bare. Even when YG favors a member if they are leader he’s still harsh on them. In win/ mix and match everyone knew YG favored B.I but even still he rarely complemented him and was extremely harsh on him. It’s not even just YG but even the trainers are extremely harsh on leaders. Hyunsuk never deserved it but at the end of the day YG did it to make him a better leader. A humble leader that knows when to bite the bullet. Personally what I didn’t agree with is him putting Hyunsuk, Lee Byunggon or Yedam through another survival program. I wish he would have done what he did with IKON when he made B.I, Jinhwan, and Bobby already members and then filled in the rest. He was still hard on them but at least they knew they had spots regardless.

with all the hardships he had, he deserves everything he has now. people here from 3 years ago, our hyunsuk became the leader of a successful group. His worst than worst experiences as a trainee and his hardwork paid off. Im so proud of this guy

A YG Stan from early days will know that this is the way he trained GD, CL, BI, Mino & Yoon, Jennie (Not a leader but wbk YG planned that), and now Hyunsuk. I mean even GD got threatened to leave YG after 6 years of training in the early days. IDK but somehow the way YG trained them show who's gonna survive in this industry and they literally make it. The leaders never get praised in front of them but YG will brag them to outsiders, Bigbang and 2ne1 mentioned this over and over. It's really like an Asian thing lmao your parents never praised in front of you and just do mean things but will praise the hell out of you to outsiders.

I can not believe this. THIS MADE MY BLOOD BOIL SOOOO MUCH that I have a headache now. I can't believe what he has gone through. Even though people say this is ''tough love'' or ''ways to succeed'', this was still too harsh. It wouldn't kill YG to formulate the feedback different into critical yet motivating feedback. Not even a compliment was there. The one I dislike the most is when he made Hyunsuk stand in front of the child and hear him say ''I am the best'' and then say that the kid is better than him. People can judge me whatsoever, but YG..... He was a CHILD back then..... A DAMN CHILD!!!!!!! You can not see what happens inside a child's mind, body, soul or spirit. You can't even control it. He is a human being, with emotions and his health is also important. I'm glad that Hyunsuk pulled through by his own efforts because ONE mistake and Hyunsuk would have ended up differently. He was able to make it out. He DEALT with everything and LEARNED how to overcome those obstacles. So if anything, it's not thank you YG...IT'S THANK YOU AND I'M HAPPY FOR YOU HYUNSUK!!!
My bias better debut
Maybe YG planned it all, that he will debute him but didnt point out his strength but his weakness instead to keep him on the ground, the more struggle he face the more sweet he will taste the success, and the more he will appreciate what he will become after experiencing the storm of his training days. No leader of YGE debuted received sweet talk by YG and he hardly compliment them and talk more harsh on them than the other member. Anyway, I'm so happy with hyunsuk finally tasting the 1st step on his success, there will be more harsh things comming to them atleast he wasn't pampered by YG. He was trained not only to enhance his talent but also to make his mentality stronger, korea showbiz is so harsh, one wrong move you might be over.
I think that's YG plan for hyunsuk. he said those harsh comments because he sees a leader material on hyunsuk.he wanted him to become a stronger and tough leader for the debut group that's why in the end hyunsuk is originally part of Treasure..YG already see it in the future and now Treasure is a monster rookies and has the best two leaders💙💙💙

this appeared on my youtube feed randomly.. it was a pain to watch and remember how my heart broke for him so many times. hyunsuk was one of my faves since mixnine days and I'm so glad he finally debut in Treasure now. he has been through so much. as grateful as I am for the boys that did make it to Treasure, I wish they did not have to go through the shit show that was Treasure Box. I get it, YG wants to debut the best and most deserving but it didn't need to be mental and emotional torture. there's a fine line between being tough an being mean. it's so obvious who YG's faves are, why did he have to make them go through a survival show if he's gonna break the rules and do whatever he wants anyway? I hated that gems like Seunghun and Byeonggon was let go and treated so unfairly by YG during the show. I was so glad when they left and are happier now. I remembered what YG said about his strict treatment towards Bigbang when they were still newbie. He had to prepare them to be tough mentally because outside world is so vicious and cruel. So it's the same strategy to all YG artists.
Watching this at 3 am makes me wanna go hysterical. Hyunsuk have gone through many things and did his best always he rarely got some recognition from yg. Now that the world known him so much he deserves all the love from us his fans. We love you you hyunsukie!!! Thank u for your hard work

I feel like I want to cry watching this. My bias is Jeong-woo, but I like Hyun-suk because he's good at dancing and rapping. It’s hard when you always give your best, but it’s not enough to some people💔 but right now, watching him leading the treasure it's incredible.

I'm many years late in stanning this man, and that's the only thing that I truly regret. For me, seeing how difficult his journey towards his debut is really inspiring. Hyunsuk may not have been YG's favorite during YGTB era nor was he always his first choice but, Hyunsuk's perseverance earned him a place in Treasure. Honestly, I saw him as a diamond in the rough. He was oozing with too much potential and one of things that I'm truly grateful of of YG was that he really knows how to hone talents and it shows on how Hyunsuk is now. His means and method may have been tough and he really was a perfect antagonist created to make the protagonist's character developed and shined at the end. That's what happened with Hyunsuk. Actually, it's Hyunsuk himself that I'm most thankful for. His talents and potentials would have gone into waste if he gave up everytime he faced setbacks and criticisms but because he persevere and he believed in himself, he was able to emerge as a radiant jewel and his radiance will continue to grow as long as he continues to work hard on himself. PS. I'm so sorry for ranting, this video just gave me the feels TT. I'm lowkey crying right now huhu
