I love that they say Steve Nash tried to dunk when it was clearly a layup
There actually is no footage of the attempt that footage wasn't the same game
@@scizorbullet8185i think someone actually found the real footage and said it was a lay up
Did Steph dunk?

The fact that Wilt never fouled out is insane.
He pulled himself out of games when he got to 5. It is insane, but probably for a different reason.
Read 'The Book of Basketball' by Bill Simmons. He has an entire chapter about who was better Bill Russel or Wilt Chamberlain. I won't spoil but this stat was particularly bad for Wilt.
@@kgus123 not true, he would just play very passive when he got in foul trouble. You don't get 48.5 minutes played per game in a season by leaving games.
He didn't have to leave all that many games, as there were only 30 or so games when got to 5. The beef some have is that he cared so much about not fouling out that his defense got progressively more "passive" as his foul totals increased. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be data on when (or if) he left those relatively few games. @@harmonicarchipelgo9351
If it wasn't for the 2013 Spurs Finals run, Tracy McGrady would have never made it past the first round. Tim Duncan never winning a DPOY is a downright robbery. He's one of the greatest defensive big men ever and anchored some of the best defenses in NBA history.
REALLY DERANGED SO GARNETT CAN HAVE 5X DPOY BY THAT LOGIC ALSO REF DONAGHY SAID HE RIGGED ALL DUNCAN AND SHAQ RINGS FROM 1999-2007 NASH SHOULD BE CHAMPION 2007 AND KIDD MVP CAUSE HE CARRY ROOKIES TO FINALS UNLIKE DUNCAN WHO HAD SUPERTEAM
@@PIP...33smash that caps lock button off
I think DPOY should be named the Tim Duncan Award.
Tim Duncan actually DID miss the playoffs once. The Spurs were in the playoffs, but he didn't play cuz of injury.
Wow definitely did not expect a Hamed Haddadi reference but as a Grizzlies fan I love it! He didn't have the foot speed or stamina to play big minutes in the NBA, but he definitely made an impact when he was on the court. It's a bit misleading since, again, he didn't have the stamina to play this long and probably would've fouled out anyway, but his is per 36 numbers were always massive.
Ironically FMVP was named Bill Russell FMVP
they wanted to give him respect.
@@maelguiraud3568 agree
@@maelguiraud3568 SAM JONES HEINSOHN AND RUSSELL ALL COULD HAVE 7 FMVPS. COUSY AT LEAST 2. THAT MEANS JORDAN IS NOBODY
In other words Duncan is #5 all time and he’s extremely underrated
If they beat Miami in 13, this isn't a debate. He'd be 3-0 against Lebron, he would have tied MJ and won over 1000 games playing against Kobe in the same conference. Even without that title, it shouldn't be a debate. Dude was a winner. 1k wins with one time. Part of the all time winningest trio. Won 71% of his games. Never missed the playoffs in 19 seasons. Save for 99, never won less than 50 games. Turned the Spurs into the model franchise that everyone tried to emulate. Only the Warriors succeeded in recreating it and even they missed the playoffs with Curry.
#4 all time
@@dvs620just imagine if Derek Fisher doesn't hit the .4 shot because whoever won that series was winning the finals. And if Duncan's near buzzer beater falling down across the lane was the iconic shot that people remember like the Fisher one is, people would be putting him ahead of LeBron.
@@Andrew-ms8md So many shots could have changed NBA history. .4 not counting. Manu doesn't foul Dirk in 06. Ray Allen doesn't hit that 3 in 13. Either one changes, Spurs have 6 titles.
@@dvs620 oh of course. I always go to that shot when I think of Duncan because to take that shot over Shaq and Malone that in my opinion was his Jordan over ehlo or Magic running hook shot moment and it got overshadowed by Derek Fisher of all people
1:25 Bro the way tim duncan was dancing was funny 😳😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jerry west was also an all-star for every year of his career
Best to never make it past the first round is t-mac. The one series his team did in 2013 spurs, he didn't play any of it cuz he was injured
As a HUGE Rockets fan, I love Calvin Murphy, I love how he talks during halftime and postgame after the rockets games, he always wears the craziest suits
Great Upload as always 🏀
Even Kareem made 1 three-pointer, but he didn't attempt a sky hook from beyond the arc.
Your videos are incredible! Thank you.
Best player without a ring? Barkley or Karl Malone, way before Iverson.
Elgin Baylor
Chris Paul has started ALL 1214 games of his career. Even Shaq and LeBron have a few games off the bench. Some are expecting CP3's streak to break on the Warriors.
This was one of your best list!!
Reggie never winning a 3 pt contest is insane to me! 😮 I would've thought he won at least 2!
Same with Kemp and the dunk contest, but then again, MJ might have been in a few of them.
2:08 I mean we really can't count T-Mac's last run with Spurs.
I'm remember a buddy mine back in the day said he saw a video of Stockton dunking, I kinda didn't believe him, because he started exaggerating saying he was doing trick dunks and stuff. But now I know he could.
nice video!
7x all-star and 2x scoring champ McGrady would've been the best player to never make the 2nd round. However, the Spurs signed him when he was washed up already, and he played just a few minutes in every round during the Spurs run to the Finals. Also, while his '09 Rockets did make the 2nd round, McGrady was injured those entire playoffs and did not play a single playoff game.
The things Tim Duncan won and never won blow my mind. I never figured it out, is there a pattern to the two dances you make the figures do, for who does what?
0:10 Bro thinks he can dunk 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Ringless players better than AI: Malone, Barkley, Stockton, Nash, Ewing, CP, Baylor. That’s what I could come up with off the top of my head.
Although Steve Nash and Amar'e Stoudemire never won a championship during their playing days, they were an ideal duo that helped each other improve. Remember Mike D'Antoni's “seven seconds or less” offense. Despite never making the NBA Finals, the offense by the Suns was the foundation of the Pace and Space era. Led by two-time MVP Steve Nash, the Suns were one of the best teams in the league from 2005 to 2010. Nash was hands down the Batman of the show, but he had one heckuva Robin by his side with Stoudemire. Both MVP years, the Suns made the Conference Finals. In 2005, the team finished off winning 62 games, while Stoudemire averaged numbers that looked like Hakeem Olajuwon (26.0 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 1.6 BPG). With that said, the Suns were decimated when Joe Johnson sustained a season-ending injury in the second round. In the Conference Finals, Stoudemire averaged 37.0 points and 9.8 rebounds, but Tim Duncan and the Spurs had the last laugh. The following year, Stoudemire was lost to season-ending knee surgery, but Nash found a way to win his second straight MVP after leading Phoenix to 54 wins. Had Stoudemire been healthy, the Suns might have won the two games needed over Dallas to make the NBA Finals. In 2007, the duo both landed on the All-NBA First Team, but fell victim to the Spurs once again, which featured the famous Stoudemire-Boris Diaw benches-clearing brawl.
W vid as always
You should have mentioned that Ben Wallace is the only undrafted player in the Hall Of Fame and Iverson is debatable with Charles Barkley for the best player to never win a ring.
T-Mac would be the best to never make it past the first round if it wasn't for the Spurs in 2013. Kind of crazy that the only time he managed it was when he scored 0 points in any of his games and made it to the NBA Finals lol. In 31 minutes over 6 games he had 0 points from 7 shots, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks and 2 turnovers
Magic didn't win ROTY but won the finals mvp in his rookie season 🤯
Awesome 🥰
Wilt chamberlain was crazy
Elgin Baylor avraged more points than Mj ever done in 1 season ever but got sent to the military halfway
ALSO MORE RPG THAN RODMAN DESPITE HE IS BARELY OSCAR HEIGHT 6'5 AND HALF
Tracy McGrady should count as the greatest player to never make it past the first round, because he rode the bench of the Spurs and pretty much didn't play at all.
He said Reggie for best player to never win a 3 point contest but Jordan also did it and finished dead last
Best NBA player joined the dunk contest that never win slam dunk trophy: AARON GORDON

T-mac has left the chat for never making it past the first round
Then who is the best FORMER NBA player to never win COACH of the year?

Marion never making All-Defense is criminal.
For undrafted, you should have put Moses instead of Ben, im pretty sure he didnt get drafted either
ABA draft 1974: 3rd round Selected by the Utah Stars
Nah Joakim made a 3 tho it was a hook shot buzzer beater lmao
Nikola Jokic never caught a lob for a dunk in his career .
Best player to never win a 3 point contest is Shaquille O’Neal. Change my mind.
So why does Kobe stand sideways and have a drawn head and not have his own ?
you can replace Shawn Kemp with Aaron Gordon.
Technically Duncan missed the 2000 playoffs due to injury
Didn't Wilt foul out of a game in 1962, the year he averaged 48.5 minutes per game? IIRC, it was the only game that season where he didn't play every minute, and it was only because he fouled out
It was because he got 2 techs rather than the 6 personals, it's basically whichever way you want to count it

"Never won an assist champ." "-Tony Parker" ??? Seriously ? ? -Passing was never his priority, and he was never among the best passers Here's some better answers : Kevin Johnson, Tim Hardaway, Tyrone Bogues, even Gary Payton...

2:11 TracyMcGrady didnt ever get passed
“Best player to never win a ring: Allen Iverson.” Bro, what? Karl Malone was All NBA 1st Team 11 times (compared to AI’s THREE), 2 time MVP, top 10 all time in Rebounds, top 3 all time in points. AI was flashier. That’s about it.
AI PLAYED ALONE NO ONE CAN PASS OR SCORE AROUND HIM. MALONE AT LEAST HAD 1 GUY PRIME ENTIRE CAREER.
@@PIP...33 - Even if it were true that AI was doing everything by himself- it’s not, as AI had teammates like Van Horn, Coleman, McKie and Mutombo at varied times during his career- it actually would have made it EASIER for him to make All NBA first teams, because that’s generally awarded as an individual accolades. Don’t believe me? Ask Russell Westbrook. Lol. And we’re not talking about a gap of 1 or 2. It’s 3 All NBA 1st teams TO ELEVEN. It’s not close. Charles Barkley and Elgin Baylor would deserve to be over AI, too. It was a pretty terrible choice TBH.

Karl Malone, Steve Nash, James Harden, Chris Paul, many better options for no rings
IVERSON IS GOD BUT I AGRE MAILMAN IS BEST PF EVER. NASH ADMIT MANY TIMES THAT HE WAS NOWHERE NEAR TO IVERSON AND NO ONE IN ERA CAN MATCH HIM OR KEEP WITH THE ANSWER. CP3 IS NOT EVEN TOP 20 ON LIST CAUSE HE IS NOT THAT GREAT AND BAYLOR STOCKTON BARKLEY DOMINIQUE ETC ARE WAY BETTER.

Best ringless player is either Karl Malone or Charles Barkley
Bill Russel won 11 finals but not a single finals MVP?
Didn't exist at the time
I think when dame retires he should get greatest to never win a ring Cause Portland not trading him 😭🤦🏼♂️
he wouldn't even a be top 5 ringless players.
Never win an assist champ is steph
Karl Malone and Charles Barkley are both better than AI. Arguably Stockton too
Never win a dunk contest aaron gordon !!!!
pretty sure he picked a retired player cuz there is still a chance for Gordon to win it since he's still an active player but I highly doubt it
Aaron Gordon is the player to never win the dunk contest I think. 🔥💯
Never win dpoy- Scottie pippen
Duncan made WAY more All D teams, 15 and 8 firsts to 10 and 8 firsts for Pip. They both should have a DPOY, but Duncan was robbed harder.
