Glad to see your post...can’t wait to just vibe and enjoy your art
I started a clothing brand and it’s been taking up my time but I’m back on the grind with these video now
@@CurrieGOAT will you sell them on Amazon too? I can only shop on Amazon that's why
I only sell though my site atm, amazon takes to much commission
@@CurrieGOAT rip xd
Hello fellow Leah I’m glad we share the same thoughts :)
Was a bit confused about why KZhead recommended me a video on how to punch needle a rug, but now I understand that KZhead knows me better than I know myself. That looks awesome and I suddenly feel that I really need to try to make a rug...
Same. haha
I miss your portrait videos so much, glad to see your alive and well Bokkei
Hahahaha
Pahahaha ditto
I have a habit of picking up a million different forms of crafting. I love it but I’m always wanting to try new things which means I need the supplies for these new things... once I go to get the supplies I get ideas for multiple different projects I want to do with this new skill I’m trying.. so, after spending a decent amount of money on supplies I’ll make a bunch of stuff and then lose interest. Now I have a bunch of supplies I’m determined to use at some point. 😓😅
It's wayyy to cool to put it on the ground, I would hang it on the wall it's a masterpiece
🤩Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Im sure that got to be quite the satisfaction to relax barefoot on this after all this hard work too.
I think the same thing about painted shoes 😂
Oh definitely! I was thinking it would be like beautiful on the wall.
Agree!!!
Shopping list of things you will need guys : - fabric (linen // monks cloth) - punch needle - cotton thread - painting frame - staple gun - marker/pencil
what sizes needle and the yarn ?
Goat thank u
@@marianne22222 I think the yarn is cotton thread? I was wondering too
@@marianne22222 I think 3,5 mm yarn and 5.5 mm needle since those are the most common
thank you man, I couldn't understand this part xD
With almost 2,000 comments, someone else may have already mentioned this tip to speed up the printing process. In Illustrator, set your Artboard to slightly larger than your image. The default is paper size, but you can make it any size you want. Make sure your whole image fits on the artboard. When you print, there will be a section on the screen called Options. In that section, click on the Scaling drop down menu, then choose Tile Full Pages. Illustrator will automatically break your image to print on multiple pages, and it will show you a preview of how many pages it will take. Hope this helped!
A projector might help too. Instead of printing the stencil and cutting out pieces, project the image onto the fabric and trace
Here’s another way too: if you have a large TV and a laptop with Screen Mirroring abilities, pull up the image on your laptop, screen mirror it to your TV, and then place your frame against your TV. That way, it’ll be easier to trace your image if you don’t have a projector!
I realise this is 2 years old haha but any idea why my options section is greyed out? I cant select anything inside it
@@madalinamicusan9737 I'm sorry, but I am not able to duplicate the issue, so I'm not sure what would cause it. A quick google seems to indicate that it might be a printer driver conflict. Maybe try selecting a different printer (or print to PDF) to see if it persists. Otherwise, maybe ask in the r/AdobeIllustrator subreddit.
This guy is an artisan. His skills are so impressive.
Thank you
"My sketching skills in this video aren't the best" how dare you lol
i don’t even know what he would about my sketching😟
So humble
Seriously, though. "My sketching skills in the video aren't the best..." *proceeds to fsu on paper*
I’ve always wondered how punch-needle rugs don’t just fall apart when you’re done! I suppose it also relies on the type of fabric used. Thank you for showing how you finish the rug, and instead of covering up the mistakes with the magic of editing, you use them as a teaching tool to show how to fix those mistakes!
it has honestly been so long since I've watched such a quality tutorial. You're an amazing educator.
This guy is like the calm, across the pond version of Schmoxd and I’m so glad the algorithm blessed me with his videos 🥺
Ess Ambreís ikrr i want a collab!!
That's exactly what I thought!😂
Your voice is so soothing! I feel like I'm watching an art ASMR You also inspired me to start drawing and painting, feels like I'm getting better every day and every video of yours I watch motivates me even more! Keep up it
Thats so sick, u should tag me on insta so I can see ur work
@@CurrieGOAT Will do! Up until now I drew your designs, currently working on a Hannya Mask project
Super talented, brother! Will probably never try doing this myself but subscribed to see more of your great work in the future! :)
Couldn’t agree more
What a great tutorial! I appreciate that you took the time to explain how you used illustrator, I feel like a lot of people would have just skipped that part. A lot of people would also have just filmed a time-lapse without bothering to make it into a tutorial, so it speaks to your generosity that you take the time to do it this way, even if most people who watch this don't end up making something! I also love how chill you are. Totally subscribed:)
There is so much about this that is awesome. The skill and creativity. I am just sitting here being impressed by the fact that you can both know all of these techniques well enough that it looks like muscle memory, and still have the ability to slow down and actually explain how you do it. Because learning how to do is one thing, and learning how to teach is another. Also, the result is beautiful.
Thank you, I’ve been making them for about a month now so I have a food hang of it I guess, glad you liked the video 😁✌🏿
@@CurrieGOAT And you sound like a master considering every possible variable; I would never have guessed you'd only been making them for a month!
This has to be the single MOST HELPFUL vid I’ve seen for methods on needle punching. I am so, so grateful for your shared wisdom and thoroughness. You answered a TON of questions. Oh, and LOVE the Cerberus design!
i’m so happy that your growing!! can’t wait to see more of you. you inspire me a lot. thank you for the amazing stuff
Loving how structured this process is!
Don’t know how I ended up here but, man, do I appreciate it...I’m about go make a rug

I love it when you randomly come across a creator and just straight up vibe with them from the start. Love the chill energy and how articulately you explain things. Subscribed and looking forward to more :)
I wish I hadn’t seen this 😭 It’s amazing and I really cannot afford another hobby! I can barely store the art supplies I have now 😂 I guess I know what project I’m tackling after I finish the one I’m working on now lol

the way i literally dont know anything about punch needle rugs but i watched the whole thing because it was so satisfying 😅
same
They’re pretty easy to do, you can watch some youtube videos lol
@@kagrimreaper Right, but we're saying we had no interest in, nor any knowledge that these even existed until the almighty KZhead algorithm brought us here. I have not looked into punch needle rugs since this video. I purely watched it for the sheer pleasure of it!
Tell me why this is everything I needed in my life! You are a gem
Bless your patience
This was such a detailed tutorial on how to punch needle from the very start to the end. It was cool see how you pull different elements from things that inspire you to make one really cool cohesive piece of art. I've never seen some do such a large punch needling piece! When I learned how to do it years ago everyone I knew used very fine needles. A lot of people would use literal syringes with a hole made in the side of the point. You end up needing much thinner yarn, and I don't know if you *need* to use tightly woven fabric for it, but at the time most people would look for the most tightly woven fabric they could find. It was often similar fabric to a linen tea towel. I think it was partly because people would embroider designs on the edges of kitchen towel and such, but also because it was *supposed to* hold your yarn better. Kinda makes sense if you're putting it through the wash I guess. You can get very nice fine detail that way, but dear lorrrd, that combination of things made learning how to do it quite frustrating. I'm really excited to try punch needle embroidery again with the tips you mentioned about what type of fabric works well. When I initially saw the thickness of the needle I was like "😲 how tf is that going to stay in the fabric", but it makes so much sense how you explained it. Many thanks! I really appreciate the video.
because of my anxiety there are periods of time when i can't listen to music or watch anything because the sound is too overstimulating, and your channel is genuinely a blessing 😭💕
never seen this type of artwork before! i’m so impressed.
gorgeous! so creative and inspiring ❤️🔥
i have no desire to make a punch needle rug, and if we’re being completely honest i didn’t even know what a punch needle rug was until this came in my recommended, but i stayed because of the vibe and attention to detail. this was dope ❤️
Thank you for talking about the awkward art middle stage because it's one of the things that sends people running away from art - also using sneakers to choose color palettes is a tactic that I'm definitely going to use, too!
So cool. Thank you for taking the time to show us!
I loooove your videos, you explain everything so seamlessly
Your patience is on another level.
Your whole channel is exactly what I’ve needed! You make this so approachable 💛 thank you so much for sharing your expertise !!
Your a creative genius!
The awkward middle stage. That's when you take a deep breath and push through. Your work is wonderful.
Dude, you’re soo creative! This is something I’m also interested in doing, I’m glad I came across this video.
I loved how you actually showed your entire design process!!! That was so interesting- even how you chose the colours!
highkey really like how its so detailed
what a chill and wonderful guy!
Just got recommended this video on my KZhead homepage. The algorithm is blessing you, my man. This channel about to blow up, get ready
Wow. What an amazing artist to randomly stumble across on KZhead. Instant fan! Love your work. 🤩
You are so talented and patient
my boyfriend told me recently that he was interested in making a punch needle rug (which i know next to nothing about!) so for christmas i want to get him some supplies and make a little “starter kit.” this video was super clear and helpful about necessary materials & best practices! thanks so much for sharing, & beautiful work!
This is such a pretty rug with beautiful colors. I've been thinking about learning punch rugs recently and this is really making me really hype to start. Great work man
Oh this seems exciting! I haven't watched all of this yet, I only just clicked in, but at the risk of sounding weird your voice is so soft and kind (matches your FACE, look at your beautiful eyes!), and your rings and hoodie are just so very stylish. 10/10 a wonderful human being I can tell, can't wait to learn a new craft skill from you.
🤩Thank you so much, glad you found my video 😁✌🏿
I love this so so much!!! Thank you for going step by step with the process it was so inspiring!
IM SOOOO HERE FOR IT
This is such a thorough tutorial! And you sound so patient. Makes me really feel like I could give this a shot! 💖
I just found you through this video and I can't be more excited! I have finally figured out what I've been doing wrong with punch needle my whole life!!! Thank you!!!
You are amazing! So intricate. A true art form.
So mellow, this process is very satisfying.
Holy moly when you started cutting the work to outline i could just see myself giving up, that's dedication and that would have taken soo long. This is awesome
It turned out so freaking beautiful! The whip stitch is such a nice touch.
This is amazing! It’s fantastic to see your process! Thank you for sharing
thats so cool dude. and its such a great way to make your home more personalized, love it
i am so happy that youtube reccomend me this video. honestly your voice is so soothing and you explained all of this so well that it almost felt like this video was only five minutes long
So underrated!

CurrieGOAT no cap 👑
Excellent tutorial. Love the results.
You're such a great teacher!! Thank you for sharing your whole process with us!
Man, I've got to say, this is one of the most approachable tutorials I've ever seen. Calm voice, ACTUAL explanations (like, the entire AI part, any other tutorial I've seen would be like 'clean it up in Adobe illustrator' and call it a day) and the troubleshooting is incredible. I just want to say thank you, and you would be an incredible teacher.
I am forever in awe of the talented human beings I see throughout the world around me. Thank you for sharing your's with us.♥️
Omg so glad i found your channel. You are an amazing artist for reeeeeeal

Wow, you did such an amazing job! I think you also just taught me what I've been doing wrong every time I try to do punch needle art lol. So thank you so much for not only sharing your brilliant creativity and techniques of rug creation but for also helping to teach us how to punch needle in general!
Made my first rug this weekend thanks to your amazing tutorials on Instagram. Glad to see more of the process!

this is so mesmerising. just wow.
This is one of the coolest and most creative things I've seen in a while. This is amazing!
Yes really in a while. This is fantastic! Similar rugs are sold here in the shops, but never divulged if done by machine or hand. But his models are unique 😎
