As of February 19, this video has 3 dislikes and 476 likes.
There's always haters but one time I hit the dislike on a video by accident and didn't care to change it and another time as a goof on the poster.
This is a nice way to protest against the removal of a functionality.
Please Part 2
This was the best time ever
Really awesome list! I owned so many of these games and loved them sooo much! Played hours and hours on these, thank you so much for bringing back memories.
Still playing Fallout 1-2 and Jagged Alliance series. They were too good for their era.
Me, too. Also Might and Magic 6, Alpha Centauri and X-Com Apocalypse.
WHat a great time to be alive then, glad I've played most of them and so much great games in such a short time.
Thank you for including Myth 1 & 2!
Awesome video, full of good memories!
Thanks for your videos, the 90's brought us a lot of PC classics, too bad there are not many content covering some of these gems. I loved yours covering DOS games, keep it up!
Right on! I was all about the PC these years with my VooDoo 1 & 2 cards. Hopefully more and more of these show up on GOG… though quite a few already do.
This list hit me in all the nostalgias
I loved these games! It even made me want to play them. Thanks!
Planescape: Torment, System Shock 2, Total Annihilation, Fallout 1/2.... some of my favourite games, great to see them but hard to see what made them stand out in just 30 seconds of clips.
MDK!!! Back in the 90's, I got that game for free with our Packard Bell Desktop (Windows 95), and I still have it. :) I remember the struggle. You had very long levels to play, without any checkpoints or places to save the game. You had the finish that entire level before you could save the game!
They fixed MDK in the retail version. There, you could save the game at any point. Were you able to go all the way to the end, or did it crash?
@@zorkmid1083 I can´t really remember ever finishing the entire game... 🤔
@@o0L4nc3r0o If you don't remember feeding the main boss weird fish-like things from the dispenser or the French music video, you probably never played it to the real end. 😁
For those of you who don't know. MDK stood for murder, death, kill
This is my favourite era of PC gaming. What a time!
Railroad Tycom 2 ....Nostalgic ... Thanks bro, for reactivating good memories in my mind. What a good time man.
Yeah good game! Replayed entire game last month, tried to win all campaigns with gold medal. Some campaigns have unrealistic goals.
I spent many hours playing Baldur's Gate, Diablo and Planescape Torment. Great games.
Rainbow Six was a great MP shooter. I loved the heart beat sensor. That was a time of LAN caffees, sitting next to guys that you shoot. Will never come back ;)
Descent 3, System Shock 2, Heretic 2, StarCraft 2 Brood War, NFS3... I miss these times so bad.
Golden era of video games were 1995-2005 the "real" revolution . So many great games shown in this video - Total Annihilation one of the best RTS ever . - MDK excellent third person shooter with funny moments . - Unreal & Unreal Tournament thousands hours of playing it still today without being bored of it and is on my top 5 games . - Half-Life great lore and another of my top 5 games . - Tomb Raider 2 & 3 excellent . - Resident Evil 2 wow took me so long time to finish the game . - Carmageddon 2 was okayish but slow paced compared to the first one . - Shadow Man an interesting game with a great message one of my top 10 games . - Sin one of the hidden gems as fps . - Quake 2 great game sadly the final boss was too easy to kill .. - Driver the "Real" first 3D open openworld gta-like . - Turok yeah excellent . - Star Wars : Dark Forces 2 another one of my top 10 games . Gosh i feel old 😥 lol
I think a lot of us feel old because we were gamers during this period and realize know that it is almost twenty years later.
1993 - 2005
I would say from Nes to PS2 times
@@DarthPferd Well there are a couple of PS3/Xbox 360 era games that I still like but they were on the PC. Fallout New Vegas for example. But for the rest I also feel that the golden age of gaming came to end in the PS2 era.
@@metalmajesty I might even throw in the Amiga era, and there were also some decent games on the C64, ZX Spectrum, and MSX2 (really hate that we in the West missed out on the X68000) I would perhaps extend the period to 2007 with some after 'spasms' to 2010.
Interesting how some games on this list created trends that last until today. I didn't play them all on the list but the one that most sparked nostalgia in me was Tomb Rider 3.
Great collection of games and video.
Im always glad and surprised when people include Fallout 1 and 2, and Xcom Apocalypse to those lists, but I was really surprised seeing one of my favorite games ever enter the list: Warhammer Dark Omen. Unit this day I wish they would have made more of this game =\
Awesome List
My god THANK YOU. I've been searching for Incubation time is running out for almost 20 years, played that game on a PC gaming disc and never knew the name of the game. YOU ARE THE GOATTTT !!
Most of these games are considered an all time greats
I´m 50 years old, and I still do gaming PCs because of that era. This video made my insides go warm again.
HERETIC 2 MY MAN THANK YOU I WAS LOOKING FOR THE NAME A LONG TIMEEE. I KEPT REMEMBERING THE VISUALS BUT NOT THE NAME. THANK YOU! ❤❤❤❤
You did it!! Thanks!!
Great list sir 👏
What I think about when watching this is how much the games changed within such a short span of time. We went from Dungeons of Daggarth to Half Life in 15 years.
My best friend's dad worked for a PC repair business and was a huge gamer. I was quite young, but I remember watching him play many of these games and thinking how unusual it was for dads to play video games -- dude was probably only 33 at the time, haha.
We really blessed years with amazing games. Now I remember why I gave up watching television for playing on my computer every evening lol
I still did watch some television but playing games on the PC like Half Life, Homeworld, Fallout, Jedi Knight etc was a lot more interesting in general.
That horn at the start gave me immediate nostalgia flashback. Time to play the definitive edition of age of empires once more
interestingly i was expecting Little Big Adventure 2 (that you have placed under T for "Twinsen's Odyssey") since on my diskettes the exe was named lba2.exe and I recall large letters Little Big Adventure 2 on intro screen... after some googling I've found both the orginal artwork for European release (without the subname "Twinsen Odyssey" on it) and that it's remake has been scheduled for release on Steam in 2024... cool ) this makes this video already very useful! thx
Ah, here we are, those I missed in the previous video because I didn't look the title close enough ! The good old days ...
Nice video, like!
👍for helping me find oustcast, i was going mad because the name was on the tip of my tung but for the live of me i couldnt recall it. Thanks man 😊. I was like 3626.
I need more for this serie ♥️
Call this video as ultimate guide to great pc games!
This was a revolutionary time for video games, pretty much everything on the list is a banger. Of course there are exceptions, but imo, gaming peaked in late 90s.
Thank you for the video. o7
Xcom Apocalypse has to be the one i had so much time figuring out. Back when i only had cd and no manual. Haha good times
KKND and KKND 2 are the awesomiest games! I walkedthrough KKND 2 several times in 1999, 2000... and 2012. And KKND 2 is almost well balanced. Its atmosphere is splendid. No lags, fine graphics. And its music that I listen till now.
Супер подборка, спасибо 😊
Amazing 3 years of games
FreeSpace 2, Myth, Quake II & III Arena and Half-Life some all time favs on any platform or era
Carmageddon 2, Little big Adventure 2 (you putted twinsen) and mainly Drakan are my favorites games EVER !!
Year 2000 sophomore year drafting and tech class we had all the computers on a LAN party and played Unreal Tournament almost daily. Good times that won't be replicated
I continue to play Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 to this day, probably one of my favourite/best RPG's ever made
My childhood is here! Tomb Raider, Carmageddon 2, Rayman 2, Meier’s Alpha Centauri, Monkey Island, Unreal, Quake, Driver, Starcraft, Soul Reaver, Turok… all good memories
do this kind of video for every year
Parabéns mannn!
Now that I look at it, there are a lot of interesting games. I didn't think much of them when I was a kid.
The greatest era of PC gaming, IMHO....
Also Pharaon, Rollercoaster tycoon, Sim City 3000, Warhammer Dark omen, NFS 3 - the games that are worthy spending many hours by them.
So many interesting things to check out
Tiberian sun, Heroes 3 and Warzone 2100 are favorites games, I still play them.
Awesome selection 🤌🏻 this time period had so many unique and great games ❤️
Silver will always stay with me. That game was Epic, the combat, the story the soundtrack was all good!
good list :) played pretty much all of that, still playing some of them today
Thanks your Man °^°
So many memries! 😊 Thnx
gracias lo vi entero, muchos no los conocía pero muchos otros si fue hermoso.
Cool times! I still play NFS 3.
11분24초에서 가슴이 웅장해지네요.
Back in the 90s each day had 57 hours and we wasted daily 18 hours with playing. We did not have to work, there was always food and we did not have to worry anything. And sometimes we had no school and 6 hours daily more.
🤔... De aquella época me quedo con: 1-Quake 3 Arena 2-Roller Coaster Tycoon 3-Viper Racing ... Jugué aprox. al 75% de los títulos que aparecen... 😅👹👍 Buen video! Un Saludo❗
Seems like yesterday; great times!
All my Life looking for "Sanitarium" Thank you!!! :D
Soooooooooooooooooooooo many favourites listed here. ..............1997 - 2005 was truly the golden age for pc games.
Great list! But where's "The Longest Journey"!??!
It was released in the year 2000 (US).
@@_Joseph_J.Y.A. Still, unlike the common misconception, the US is not the only country in the world!
All of my list is based on the US release date. The EU and JP release dates are secondary, they're used if a game is only available in those regions.
What's the best adventure game (not action-adventure) of all time? I played The Secret of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, The Road to El Dorado, and a few more when I was a kid, but I don't remember ever finishing them.
1995-2005 was the best decade for gaming. So many 10/10 games.
Homeworld and Age of Wonders one of the best soundtracks
Quake 3 arena and Command and Conquer Tiberian sun were the BEST!! Tiberian sun: Firestorm was amazing too, you could make custom maps.
O Game 54 OutLaws Merece um Remake..!! 😎👍👍👏👏👏
God I used to play with many of these games. I remember I sent hours playing NFS Hot Pursuit with my sister (split screen) on a 17" display :)
Nice games:).....miss that time😢
Lmao the Predator in AVP was so frikkin overpowered we sometimes had to ban it from our LAN parties 😂
Actually not. His red laser always showed where he was, even cloaked. Same with the Alien: The Alien can spot the aura of everything, so it saw the Predator cloaked in each situation.
Reason why I have a retro PC WIn98 and WinXP to play older games. Yeah it is possible to play them on modern machines but I like to play them on my actual Win98 or WinXP PC.
diablo and starcraft with a little age of empires. So good
Many of they still a great games today too.
Oh, man, the number of hours I spent playing Unreal Tournament and its variations like Monster Hunt! I loved playing on those busy servers, but I hated the guys who knew how to shoot the ball! I played so much I watched the sun rise quite a few times!
I can honestly say that I've played at least 20 of these games!
Soviele geile spiele gab es damals :)
Heretic II. I remember enjoying that game a lot !
Good Video.. i remember quitting my job only to play Half-Life. LoL
Joseph dug up my childhood
Very nice list👍. Quite sentimental;) Like and sub go for you ☺
I am glad Warzone2100 was there. Also i forgot about Populous!
Age of Empires!! would play this for hours as a 6 year old, cant imagine how much time i could waste playing it grown up
#68... Pero que recuerdos!! Thx!
A legjobb időszak!
9:51 this game brings back memories
Dungeon Keeper 2, hmmm... so many nights. " It's Witch hour, we course for a half price" 😁
Age of Empire II the age of King the memories with de Shelby Cobra...
Outcast: Second Contact is a GREAT remastered version of the original game
