    • @@fabolousninenine30 I get ur point, but I would say that Cuban did a great (very underrated) job of surrounding Dirk with the right pieces and 2006 specifically (as much as I like Dirk) his underperforming was the reason why they didn't win a championship. Also something isn't talked about much how Dirk developed himself and added lower body strength in 2008

  • People forget how good Dirk was. He was lights out like Kevin Durant. His fadeaways were unstoppable. Even with Finley and Ginobili, or Bowen on him they couldn't stop him and they were all very very good defenders. I remember Pop saying in this series that he even had nightmares of Dirk Nowitzki. As a Spurs fan myself, there have been only two players the Spurs could never find a way to defend during the Pop-Duncan era. Kobe and Dirk. Durant or LeBron were never those guys Spurs could never handle. Kobe and Dirk were lethal back then. Nothing you could do. Just close your eyes and hope for the best. I was never as heartbroken as I was after the Spurs lost this one. Not even in the 2013 loss to the Heat.

    • It was this series that led to the league changing the playoffs seeding. These were by far the two best teams in the conference and they wound up playing each other in the 2nd round, due to division winners being guaranteed the highest seeds. I think Denver was 45-37 as the 3 and Dallas was 60-22 as the 4. It was insane, haha!

Faceup, post up, turn off either shoulder fadeaway, drop step, drive with either hand, finish with either hand strong, and an incredible shooter from the outside being 7 feet tall and going 50-40-90, all while grabbing over 9 rebounds and being a great team player and made his best teams overachieve. he wasnt a great defender so thats why you cant say hes the Goat pf, plus duncan has more achievments. but just as an offensive player hes has the greatest arsenal of any power forward ever.
