What I admire most about Jose is his mentality even after some bad lose and with so much mileage on his body he's still willing to learn and get better it's easy for anyone to get comfortable and keep doing the same thing but to get out there and try something new this deep in the game Uncle Chael said it best it's inspirational

@@nunyabizwacks6711 If there's one criticism to make of Aldo, his fight IQ is very inconsistent. At times he seems like a genius inside the cage, and other times you wonder what on earth is he doing, or not doing. His finishing instincts aren't the same as before, I believe he could have finished the fight against Font more than once, but didn't fully capitalize. Still, its impressive how his technical abilities have improved and he's still racking up wins against younger fighters despite being an aging legend.
Look at the build of Aldo though. He is in crazy shape, if he's able to put all his power into a shot you are in trouble. Just look at the differences in his back, arms, abdomen, everywhere. Dude is built like a pit bull.
And Rob Font seemed to be caught by surprise by the power Jose brought to the fight. The power changed the calculus and Team Font did not have an answer.

A perfectly landed punch from McGregor destroyed the same image of the fighter that up until that fight had not even been really challenged over the 10 previous years of fighting in organizations that are almost as well known as the UFC. But truthfully this was Aldo's best fight in years because the guys who he's been matched up with lately been total savages and he is still winning generally but people have their own perception. Incredible breakdown!! I've seen probably a 100 of your vids, but today for the first time I thought about how difficult it would be to make one. But you probably have an insanely quick and efficient system by your 20th video. I was thinking you'd have to watch a few times and take notes. Then write a video script. Go back and forth on many parts to confirm your points. Then take screenshots and label all of them. Assign them to your points that you're making in your script, etc. Because of the planning, the timing of the images and your speaking + your incredible insights. Amazing!! That's how you get away from not showing your face. Because if it was just a slideshow with you speaking, you wouldn't be as big. I watch UFC for the excitement and violence, but watch channels like yours for the art and science. I watched that fight and loved it, but didn't understand it this your explanation. I don’t know if I’d call it a career resurgence, but I really love what Aldo has been doing recently
How is it not a career resurgence? Besides moraes (which couldve went either way) He’s literally only lost to champions. And his wins have been top 3-10 guys across 2 weight divisions and this is after everyone wrote him off after the holloway fights, which both were 1-1 going into the 3rd. Its 100% a career resurgence or he never lost it. He hasnt lost a step and he’s adding new shit to his game
@@chrismalinowski654 I mean you said he basically only lost to champions so I'm more inclined to say he never lost it. It's just him still being better than almost anybody except the champions. I don't believe he beats Volk, Yan, or Holloway in a rematch. I don't even think he beats them in a rematch when he was in his prime, he could take Volk since Volk's chin is normal but Yan and Holloway are especially bad matchups for Aldo considering how well they tank damage and how they pick up steam in the later rounds. But tell you what, in a three-round fight Aldo can still beat anyone in the world.

Stop. He hasn't proved Khabib wrong about double peaking. If you compare the Aldo of today versus the Aldo when he was 145 king, there's a clear difference. Aldo of yesteryear was faster, more explosive, had superior finishing instinct and was leg kick heavy. Outside of Aldo's skill and ability in MMA, I find it most unbelievable how striated his physique is. How is Aldo able to be so aggressive at such a low body fat as a natural athlete?
Let's speculate on what he eats. You are what you eat, yes? And Aldo is clean, yes? What's the only conclusion we can come to if we accept these two things as truth? He's eating jacked animals. Jose Aldo eats pit bulls, gorillas and kangaroos.

Yes he does train..MMA
I wouldn't have amounted the win to primarily power. It was also superior timing and accuracy on the punches. It was a quality over quantity approach. Aldo wanted to land the harder more meaningful punches rather than the higher volume of strikes, and that approach won Aldo the fight.
It's great to see a legend like Aldo still looking like a beast
