No screens, no music, European people make the show by themselves. American ones need a lead. That's the huge difference.
Américain sports= Disney World !! Européen sport= Gladiator war
Sport is a show in Us, in Europe is a fight
@@monika-il3hw man in a rivalry it’s like a war. Fight is an understatement for that.
Also the european fans want to beat the "enemy" fans by being louder, that explane the escalade :p even supporter come with a warrior's mindset
Yep, we look replay of the game after
Singing the national anthem before or at a sporting event is not a common practice in Europe, but rather takes place at big games (for instance in finals of national cups) or, of course, when national teams play each other.
True. We only sing national anthems when it matters 👍. Weird how they even do them at pre season games in the US
Singing the national anthem before each game.. or saying the pledge of allegiance in school seems like fanatical brainwashing to me 🤣
It only happens when national teams play, since clubs have nothing to do with a nation...
@@TrashskillsRS there are some exceptions/additions....as i already mentioned....you will hear the national anthem for instance in some national cup finals.
@@1oo1optimus yup, seems like communism
A lot of basketball teams (especially in the Balkans) are owned by a sports club, a sports club that also owns a football team, so same team, same names, same supporters.
Basically supporting the football club at these
@@tganet7123 you're supporting the sports club, not the sport. Aris supporters I've seen support basketball, football, volleyball, all ages and genders. It's not the sport, it's the club.
@@tganet7123 Yeah , for example , my team (Partizan- Belgrade, Serbia) has a basketball , football , volleyball, waterpolo , handball team and a few more in different sports . Of course the biggest fanbase is in the more popular sports (In Serbia, and largely in Europe, Football and Basketball).
That sound like communist
@@Commievnbecause during Yugoslavia red star (red and white) members were socialist (Yugoslavia had socialist government and it was netural during cold war) while Partizan (black and white) were nationalist and wanted king back into country (king left before nazi Germany attack and lost title as king and royal family now is now living in Britain if i remember right and aren't allowed back into country) so even during Yugoslavia Red star and Partizan were rivals
This is the reason why a European just smiled hearing the experts commenting how Doncic "had to adjust to the atmosphere" when he started out. Knowing that he played professionally in Europe since he was 16
The Europe fans was Aris Thessaloniki from Greece, the second was Red Star Belgrade from Serbia and the last one the "greens" was Panathinaikos Athens from Greece. 😊
Orthodox brothers! 🇷🇸❤️🇬🇷☦️☦️
@@milospetrovic893 of course my friend I am from Greece❤🇬🇷🇷🇸
Turkish airlines is the sponsor of the euroleague. That game was actually played in Belgrade, Serbia. Be careful with calling out different nations in this region of europe since they will take it very offensive if called out wrong since they absolutely do NOT like eachother.
Its forgivable for americans because on average they are very bad in geography and dont know very much about world outside their borders ... now if someone explained them and they made the mistake few times despite them knowing better that would be offensive/ignorant ... but yeah balkans are creazy ...
Bullshit we Serbs love our Turkish Brothers! 🇷🇸🇹🇷

American game: one long commercial European game: pure passion And yes, I am a European living part Europe, part USA.
Which teams do you support? *silently pulls out gun*
In Europe we have clubs not franchises. So it's a pure cultural and from the heart and soul! Games like Fenerbahçe - Galatasaray; Partizan - Red Star; Panathinaikos - Olympiakos rivalry it's a serious business.
So that were the environment that Giannis, Jokic and Doncic growing up. So the intimidation or taunting from NBA fans were nothing for them
True...I think Jokić or Bogdan Bogdanović was saing that in on Interview after NBA game
6:30 ''game hasnt even started yet''. Thats it. its not about winning or losing. Its about being a family. most of those european clips are from the balkans, where life isnt that good. people find refuge in sports, they feel like they are connected from something and it keeps them together. thats the magic, thats why we are so crazy about our clubs, all sports. Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Football (soccer). Its our way of life, its what is keeping us alive
And last week Devin Booker complained about the mascot while trying to shoot a free throw in an empty arena. Bring Devin to Greece and play in an Olympiakos Vs Panathinaikos game ... that will train him how to shoot free throws even in a thunderstorm ahahaha

USA is 1000 year behind in every sport compared to Europe! :D
Disagree! I enjoyed watching games in the States, felt safer and was a lot calmer.
The craziest fans in the world are in Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy... And then someone thinks that American cheering can affect Jokic, Doncic, Giannis or any European player in any way. They have played in front of an audience like this since they were 16, 17 or 18 years old. Compared to Europeans, American fans sound like Beethoven. Even the court does not shake.
NBA je najobičniji cirkus, odlično organizovan i vrhunski, ali ipak samo cirkus; jedino u NCAA, to jest koledž košarci, ima nešto malo života, strasti i energije.
THE Balkans are like that :D Serbia,Greece,Turkey clubs all have massive support for their clubs:)
Balkan are really the best , i watched a game in kosovo never see ultras like this for basketball , loud sound everything was beautiful🏀🏀
@@Donny_Ks Where are you from
@@Donny_Ks awesome that you've been to a place that doesn't exist lol
@@niggardlylad2008 It exists but it's not a country. It's just temporary occupied part of Serbia.
Many European clubs have basketball sides attached to their football clubs, so they're essentially the same fans at both sports.
6:15 Red Star fans Belgrade Serbia, no Turkey. It will be your terrible mistake and very dangerous for you to say in Belgrade that it is Turkey. Same situation in Turkey about Serbia.
Greece in Turkey
It is not much wrong. Serbs are genetically 80% turkish and the word Delije is Turkish too.
@@hajduksplit_913 And Croats are 90% Serbs... Sooo...
They were mistaken because the commentator was saying "Turkish Airlines Euroleague". I can't speak on behalf of serbians but aside what they did to bosnians during the war, turkish do not hold a grudge against serbs. Unfortunately, I cant say the same for serbians. Sports are meant to be out of politics and should bring people together in peace. Just a few days ago, Anadolu Efes the turkish champion won the euroleague finals with the great assistance of their wonderful serbian star player vasilije micić.

Difference with following a team in Europe Vs USA is that in Europe it's a way of life, not just a pastime!!
ultras - our way of life .. a must see .. ultras are the hardcore fans of the teams
They've already done one of them
@@jameswg13 yeah but he meant this specific video: ultra - our way of life.
@@gh0sT1978 yea!
The first 2 European clips was a big rivalry. It was the hate derby of Thessolaniki between Aris and Paok. It was dark because of that lightning striked and cut the power.

USA po celom svetu izaziva patnju i rat
4:10 ARIS Greek fans The best👍
Bro love ur yt name😂😂😂👌
I'd suggest watching "My FIRST GERMAN SOCCER GAME!" by Connor Sullivan Also shows you what happens before games and obviously the madness during 😂
Best suggestion I’ve read in days
There are no national anthems before any sport event in Europe unless it is the national union or national team that is competing. It is almost exclusively during national matches and the olympics. The standing before the match is when the speaker announces the name and number of each player and they shake hands.
Imagine if they understood what the Greek chants were saying
Χααχαχαχα
This is not a surprise. In Europe we identificate with our team for a whole life. Sometimes it is for us like a religion. We can’t even compare it with USA fans because it’s insulting for us. Maybe one day the dream comes true and i will Watch GSW live😍
Yes we have PASSION and they have money
A few things about the video and sports in Europe The crowds shown were from Greece (Aris Thessaloniki and Panathinaikos) and Serbia (Crvena Zvezda/Red Star). In the Balkans and Turkey they love basketball a lot, even maybe more than football. There is no national anthem in club games, only when national teams play. The chants are many times aggressive and extremely offensive. The fans try to intimidate and insult the other team as much as boost their own. The fanatic support exists because most clubs have teams in multiple sports. The Aris Thessaloniki or Panathinaikos of basketball is the same club that exists in football (and volleyball etc). Aris Thessaloniki were playing their fierce rivals Paok Thessaloniki. Panathinaikos were playing Barcelona and their fierce rivals are Olympiakos Peraius. Red Star was playing CSKA Moscow and their fierce rivals are Partizan Belgrade. Rivalries is Europe range from something just to tease each other to hardcore hate many times based on politics and religion. People have literally been killed because they supported one club or another. Generally most Europeans don't treat the sport like a product and the club like a company. That is why you see very passionate crowds, oftentimes getting way too wild.
USA: Singing sweet cute chants Europe: If we lose let's just fire up the entire place and curse to the entire enemy team and fans. Here it's basically civil war when it comes to sports. Trust me. I live here.
Regarding Basketball, it is not everywhere in Europe you can encounter such atmosphere, but only in Greece or other balkanic countries like Serbia. However, in Football (soccer), it is more common across Europe, as you could already see :)
Α 8:10 it was the last game about quali at final 4 for euruleague. Oaka stadium has 18.000 capacity. At this night it was at least 25.000. GATE 13☘️
No one but America starts club games with the National Anthem.. Many European Basketball clubs are affiliated with the local soccer team and the respective league set ups are the same so rivalries are ready made. There is very good video interviewing NBA players who played in Europe and what they thought of it all- Would recommend.
Just given my 2 cents where. In Europe some people care basket some care for hockey, handball, volleyball etc. Then every body care for football. The big focus and the big money is football, but then football clubs also have teams is other sports. So the fans you see in basketball are most likely the ones you also see in a football match. The hard core fans are passion about the club, if you have a chess player represent is club they will chant for him
usa: fun europe: War and passion
"You won't see this anywhere else in the world." Then they immediately go to another country doing exactly the same thing.🤣
It is common atmosphere for games in Serbia and Greece, where this clips are from
"where are the other team fans?" lol, you dont wanna be in there as on oposing team fan hahahahhah
On most of the derbies the away fans are prohibited of coming because it ALWAYS ends up badly👊🏻
In the USA going to watch a game is like going to the cinema to catch a movie. Everywhere else fans are prepared to get physically hurt.
THIS IS SPARTA.. THIS IS EUROPE .... A mans domain .
Fun fact 1- all videos from Europe are form Balkan region, most passionate, flammable and hate fulfilled region. Almost every country there had a violent history with their neighbours Fun fact 2- all these clubs have their football section, so probably we saw the same ultras in both of your videos And that wasn't national athem, that was a melody of "Triumphal march" from "Aida" opera by Verdi. We just adjusted it for a chant for support our Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) 😉
The intensity is high, the atmosphere so good, a national anthem is not necessary for the most of these games. Maybe before a cup game or the of course the national teams are about to play.
USA Basketball-Show EUROPE Basketball- Passion
What you should realize is. You support your country first, then your region then your locality. And that's how it goes for sportsclubs. In local v local clubs you've got one town's team vs another town's team. And those rivalries can go back couple hundred years. But when the best local team plays the best team from another region. The entire region turns to support their region vs the other. And same with countries during international games. And some of those rivalries span thousand years... imagine any Dutch vs Spanish game... the hatreds from the 80 years war are reignited right then and there 😅 So you don't support that specific sport... you support the club no matter what the sport! (Also many people have co ownership of the local sport clubs. So there's also a financial incentive)
I would pay to see som of does fans occupying one section in an NBA game! They would crush the arena
reakt to "ultras our way of life" and "why ultras are so important for football" i think you gonna learn much more. got another perspective and understand why fans in rest off the world are so different compared to america sport :)
The best Greece fans ‼️‼️
React to "Ultra our way of life" its about European passion football fans called "ultras". Mostly from central, South and east Europe.
in Europe there is a system called CS (sports club), which means that the club with the same name has teams in several sports, but most of the ultras are from football, but this is true love, "it doesn't matter what sport, I support you "
P.S. the only anthem of the ultras are only the team's songs
Many of our clubs in Europe plays in different sports, and us fans, we love and support our clubs not just a specific sport! #no pyro no party
We don’t do national anthems generally, not brainwashed
You should watch European coaches (basketball). Insane amount of passion and authority
dont forget football/soccer european soccer coach as well
Basketball in Greece: This is Sparta
European fans are club fans, regardless of the sport. It is much deeper than sport as well. Also, European part of the video is merely pre game chanting - none of the intimidating, vilent, hate filled 200dB noise, taunts and chants during more dramatic moments of the game.
That's the difference between having a franchise for each sport and have a club that is in every competition in every sport. The football fans just go along, because they're not fans of basketball, they're FANS OF THE CLUB! It's definitely something else in Europe, South America, Africa, Asia... basically every other country than US and Canada...
its like basketball court in the football stadium amazing kudos to europe ❤❤
guys i was laughing so loud..when you were watching the nba and ncaa games; u were thinking this was something special..hahaha i knew exactly what was coming during the Europe movies..haha Americans with their cute flashmobs, Tailgating and whatnot so lame
In Europe its all about winning...if the team loses the fans even curse at them...the players don't laugh amd dont joke like they do in America.. they often apologize to the fans...
8:00 Panathinaikos Greek fans. Second best

@@diodio3187 Sorry , Aris are first👍
this is normal in Europe 😂
You need to do ultra our way of life, both the videos you have done on this so far have been tame in comparison.
Same fans from football are always watching Basketball games! When you are a club supporter it doesn't matter even if it is water polo! We go there with our tags and produce mayhem for the rival team!
Aris Salonica, Red Star Beograd, Panathinaikos Athens, were the European fans, for anyone wondering....
In europe they have sporting clubs that play multiple sports, so the crowd thats at the basketball most will be at the football on Saturdays an basketball on Sunday's. You support your club regardless of the sport. Its truely amazing an scary lol
That was Greece, Serbia not sure was it Spain too. But mostly those countries. Though Turkish is the same as all others Europe countries.
I am a diehard fan of the last team panathinaikos here in greece 🇬🇷 and i have been in 3 games thus far in my life
Have your ears recovered yet? 😂

In Greece every basketball game of Panathinaikos (gate 13) it's like this its crazy do a video of reacting to panathinaikos fans (gate 13) they are just crazy
@TK Top Travel you guys should come to Greece and watch a Panathinaikos game in person!
usually in Spain and eastern Europe, football and basketball fans are the same people as one club might have different teams in different sports.
9:41 the other fans were to scared to come 🐰🐰🐰😄😄
The game that had floors shaking is actually in Serbia. It’s in Belgrade. Redstar vs csk . And turkish airlines were sponsoring euro league. And every country in Europe has one or more rival clubs. But also we have brother clubs. That means that fans of those two clubs are like brothers. Supporting each other.
There are no fans from the other team, because at big rivalries the guest team fans aren't allowed in, due to the chaos and potential fighting that could happen
Hello. You ask where the Away Fans are? In Greece in most of the Games are no away Fans allowed because of to many Riots.
2-end Europa clip is Red Star Belgrad Serbia vs CSKA Moskow in EuroLeague🔥🔥🇷🇸🇷🇸
American : we enjoy the game. European : WE LOVE THE GAME!
This is why homefield advantage is a thing.
Thing is in America you guys are more like customers, in Europe the fans are part of the game, these clubs a lot of times aren't just Basketball clubs, some are attached to other sport clubs (like football/soccer teams, water polo teams, etc) it's a representation of your city, the passion you see is the pride in your city/area, for example like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid also have Basketball teams some football fans will go to the Basketball games, etc because the team represents your area, so by extension represents you, at games your in a crowd of people that the club also represents, that pride spills out in the crowd
5:40 got this tune on my brain but can't remember it's name!! Help anyone?
The national anthem thing makes me laugh every time 😂 hell ive forgotten my countrys anthem when i was 10 and havent heard it since 😂
In Greece the confetti, fires and flags are pretty normal. The hooligans too.2 guys killed a 19 year old boy bc he supported an other team. In Greece that is normal.
PS : 6:40 it's not Srbja national anthem , but Aida opera theme (Giuseppe Verdi opera - 1871 - kzhead.info/sun/aKWdZsVrn4eBf68/bejne.html 3:20 )
That was during Euroleague competition because they fined Red Star basketball club first time when we werent silent during Euroleague anthem so after that for last 10 years and we dont let Euroleague anthem to be heard... And we continue to do so... You can find it on KZhead Delije vs Euroleague anthem or on Serbian "Delije vs himna evrolige" "Delije probijaju zvucni zid (litterally translated Delije breaking sound wall etc one clib will lead to another)"... Best noticed if u find a video from a TV broadcast...
There are no away team fans cause in Greece it’s not allowed to, u can get killed if u are there, it’s really crazy but I love it ✊🏼❤️
In Europe the same clubs has different teams football handball basketball etc.. so the passion extends
These fans in in Europe known as ultras these fans are associated city by City and The Home country and as they playing clubs from all over tend to put on a show, the ultras also represents soccer teams as well in the same scenario.
First game was Aris Thesaloniki versus PAOK Second i guess was Red Star Belgrade vs Olymipiacos Third one was Panathinaikos vs Barcelona And yes ultras don't follow clubs only in football :D They follow aswell on volleyball 😀
This is no joke. There's no kids, no moms, no families in those crowds. When you're sitting in the stands the atmosphere is so electrifying that your legs go numb. This is the real meaning of home court advantage. Scary very scary.
believe me theres kids 13-18 yo in crowds and they are crazy asf (join in fight with police and other things)
The away fans weren't allowed into the stadium because it would be too dangerous
They are as crazy as the football fans because they are the same. In Europe it is Sport clubs, so the club they support has not only soccer teams but a lot of other sports too.
Passion for a club is something Americans dont know and never will know
