I never heard of a Subaru brat before until I searched it up, turns out that they look familiar if not the same as the Subaru Brumby's we have here in Australia (just search up Subaru brumby). Looks like most of front bullbar modifications you can add are based on what farmers do to their little cars to prevent kangaroo's from damaging the vehicle badly.
That's just a name Subaru used in Australia and NZ (I think) for this exact model. There was like 4 different names for this thing even though it wasn't sold in too many countries. Weird but cool car anyway

Alot of vehicles are like this actually funny enough. Another great one is the amount of great cars and trucks yall get that America never gets to see. Wooden flat bed wagons and cars like the Ranchero are loved in the down under.

Bought one as my first car at the age of 12. Was a pale yellow earlier gen (not even the twin round headlight gen, possibly the one before it, had smashed a headlight and ones off a GQ Patrol are a direct fit). However, $20 of fuel would last a week or two easy, went everywhere and anywhere even on standard road tyres with zero lift, there was a few sketchy times where I had it in water halfway up the bonnet in depth, without a snorkel, fucker never died.

Just bought it today and this car is so fun to drive. The turn in is amazing and back end slips slightly without completely losing it, combined with the awd the car pull itself into the corner so well. It reminds of the cars built for touge.

Agree that it should have had seats in tray massive oversight and big miss by rockstar In real life no way the seats in the tray would pass safety requirements in modern times, deffs was a cool unique feature though
It' Rockstar what did yo expect? They always miss something because they're too lazy modeling parts. Rockstar usually just copy and paste. They should really change their name to Lazystar or Mistakestar.

A couple of Subaru car models that I personally wish that Rockstar would add into GTA 5 Online are the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (hatchback). But other than that, I think the Karin Boor will make a nice addition to GTA 5 Online, and I’m glad that we got this new Karin vehicle as another Subaru car model in the game. Brilliant customization as usual, Digital Car Addict.

I know that this Is supposed to be an off Road car but i made too a street build. With the Karin 80s livery in White and racing Blue as secondary, bed cover, street wheels. Looks like a Japanese El Camino, i just wish for a little plastic\carbon chin under the front bumper but other than that it's pretty much perfect. Also in my country this is considered more like a utility car or a van with some off Road capabilities. Super fun to drive by the way.

Ah man I'm so glad this is finally out! So far I love it, I just don't get why it doesn't have any bull bars with the stock bumper, and uncovered roof lights, oh well, it's still awesome, even tho it doesn't have the seats in the bed, maybe a better engine model, and a different interior too, I feel like the Futo interior would've fit well on this
Of course you are going to do a more thorough test then I did but with the little testing I did it off-roads surprisingly well or at least better than I expected it to do except for a small traction issue at points. Found it fun in the hills and desert. And when your camera is zoomed all the way out and your swerving everywhere it’s like the moth you just can’t catch. (My opinion)
As an aussie i love the karin boor but I pray R* will give us a modern ute one day bassed off the HSV GTS Maloo

My best friend has a Subi Brat that we’re dropping a new engine, transmission and drive train into, along with a little body work but each day is progress! Soon it’ll be ready for the road, off-road and the sand dunes once I’m finished rebuilding the engine and transmission with a custom fuel management system and turbo kit.
Makes me think of Australia for some reason. That would be the inspiration for my build.
Ah man if they'd have had the brat seats as a truck bed option I woulda been so dang happy, that is one of the funniest bits of car trivia I know. I don't have friends playing gta any more to sit in the seats but it would've made a good talking point or funny thing to interact with randoms

It's finally here! This is the car I've been waiting for the entire DLC. So Subaru designed, produced, and installed rear seats on the Brat to avoid a tax... how high was that tax? LOL Thanks for the info, I didn't know that.

interesting choice of street build, it would of been nice to see a few more street build options. they really missed hitting it out of the park by not having the bed seats. do you have any plans to do an off road build as well, it would be interesting to see how it performs especially when climbing.

This thing looks fast. I wonder if it might be a new offroad contender or at least compete. You might need to put the suspension back up and put some offroad tires on it and see how it performs. I like your build. You did a good job making a street retro version of something they obviously want you to take offroad.
Unfortunately very slow, and off-road tires do not help traction on any car. If they let us lift the car a lot of the issues could be solved though

people came up with some crazy mods from street to off road and yes even lowrider for the brat wish there was a bennies upgrade
I gave mine a Matte Foliage Green with the Junkyard Boor livery. Added intercooler as front bumper, removed back bumper. Side mounted exhaust with track saucer wheels, silver paint. Exposed turbo hood. Competition suspension. Painted canopy, dark smoke tint. Just a fun "project build". I love the way it drives, for what it is. I like it. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Honestly for 1.3 mil it's not that bad I thought the car would cost around 900k but since the customization and its offroad feature makeup for it it's kinda impressive, I made mine look like the nightcrawler from mafia 3

Something cool about the Subaru Brat is that you could get I believe it was optional you can get two seat in the bed
If you apply the "Star-spangled Patriot" paint job on the Boor, it makes the car resemble the Brat from My Name Is Earl. I was very young so I didn't have much idea about the show but the one episode I remember is the one with the French exchange student whom he locked in his motel room and fed potato chips from an old bullet hole on the wall. If I have a chance I'll watch the entire series this time around.

If you can find an insurance company that will actually insure one of these, you either have to remove the seats, or some collectors have had to sign an affidavit stating they will never have passengers in the back if they intend to keep the jumper seats in the bed to maintain the cars originality. I do agree that the seats should have been an option here, I was watching the video waiting to see the seats. Now I'm curious what Rockstar was thinking, not having them, or if any of my explanation played a part.

Hmm, it's as if Rockstar sent the guys who did this to New Zealand and Australia to see what we do with the Subaru Brumby, aka the Brat, here. WRX and STI swapped Brumbies are not unheard of. And having driven one with the older 1800 turbo, out of an XT, I'm guessing they captured the inability to stop well. Dammit, I'm probably going to end up with 3 of these things.
