*3 Key Strategies:* _Repetitive Listening:_ The speaker emphasizes the importance of repetitive listening, stating that it constituted a significant portion of his learning strategy. He would repeatedly listen to podcasts, watch movies, and TV shows in English, exposing himself to the language's nuances over time. _Immersion:_ The speaker recounts a period when he lived in Switzerland and decided to immerse himself fully in English. He switched his daily activities, including internet browsing and social interactions, to English, even changing the language settings on his devices. This immersion allowed him to simulate living in an English-speaking environment. _Comprehensible Input:_ The speaker acknowledges a flaw in his approach, realizing the importance of comprehensible input for effective language learning. He suggests using tools like LingQ, which provide assisted reading of subtitles or transcripts, to enhance understanding before engaging with English media, thus optimizing the learning process.

Respect, brother!💪 Secondly, I love that you emphasized what it actually takes to get to a very good level of English. I personally don’t agree with people who say that 10-15 minutes per day is enough. We both know that it takes a whole lot more than that, and not everyone is willing to devote those hundreds if not thousands of hours to become an amazing English speaker and use it effortlessly. Not many people realize the price of achieving this goal. I do. That’s why I have such huge respect for everyone who’s gotten to a very advanced level of a foreign language.💪 Great job, man!👍 Keep sharing your experience.😊

I think it is also about self awareness. People have different kind of intelligence and some are very good at learning languages. On the other hand, some are good at mathematics or psychology. If you know your self you know what method suitable for you. At school , they teach you academic languages. Unfortunately, they are focusing too much on grammar and few hours every months won’t help you be fluency! Put yourself into the environment that forced you to speak. Learn whenever or whatever possible.

This were some great strategies to lear any language .i will follow your advices and when l became like a native english speaker i will come back and tell all the world how useful your advies are .thank you for sharing with us your valuable experience and l wish all the best and success for you from Algeria this message
haha, same here. I studied english in School with the absolutely same result. Your pronunciation now though is perfect for my ear! Excellent job! My case to really start improving my english was moving to a foreign country. When you have no choice to use your native language you progress very fast. Also speaking a lot at work works the same way as repetitive listening and more natural. It comes easy when it needs.
Your English is very clear and fluent. The problem is nobody who English is first language speaks like you.If everybody speak like you there would be no problem to understand them but they don't really care and they swallow most of words and sounds.
i agree about repetition, i always thought it is the reason why children love to watch dozens of times a movie they like. thanks.
Congratulation, you're english is awesome... I totally agree with you cuz I learned english in that way. Bless you from italy man
Thank you! 😃
Thanks U for your advice❤ It helps me
Hello my dear friend Lois Talagrand, good afternoon! Great this video, I liked it much! Congratulations for your work that you have done on KZhead. I could understand your speaking skill in English, about 80%. I admire your endowment. Greetings from Sonora, México 🇲🇽.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I hope i can learn something from this video, improve my comprehensive abilities when I listen to others and maybe help me a lot when I want to talk what I think by my second language .
Your English is great ❤
I have subscribed your channel today dated 5.2.2024 and time 07:36 AM (Indian Time Region). God Bless You forever because no one talk like you talk! Hope one day you will achieve your Red diamond button from KZhead channel soon! 💐 Love your Work from India!
I recently discovered your KZhead channel and was impressed by your fluency in English, especially considering that you are a native French speaker. As a Japanese person born and raised in Japan, I am excited to see that you also speak Japanese and I am curious to learn more about your language learning method. I believe that your approach can help me improve my English skills as well. P.S. My honeymoon destination was Bora Bora island!
Thanks for the advice, I believe you are a sincere person
Thanks!
Hi, i'm from Indonesia, your story of wasting seven years in school learning English makes me, too, not speak the language. Even if you're not a native English speaker, I really appreciate how simple and easy it is for me to understand you. I would therefore follow your strategy. Good job !
I came back here to listen to you again, and I could listen almost 100% than before. So, I think I’ve have a bit improved. Thanks for this great video you made!
Great to hear!
your accent and pronunciation are great
I love listening to your podcast. You speak fluently and gently. I could totally catch up your flow. BTW, I am a Chinese and learning English as my second fluent language recently.Glad to meet you here.
Glad it's helping!

I'm from Morocco, I tried so hard to be able speak English fluently. Sometimes, it is easy to understand, but it is hard to pronounce

I’m agree with you, the repetition is a mother of learning)
I agree
Exactly
My suggestion is to find girls' friends native speaker.
Hey man! Congrats! You've reached a very good level of English! I know how much work it takes to get to this level for a non-native speaker! Keep it up!
I leave my comments here. I'm english learning!🎉
Wow for a person that have english like a second language, you speak very well. I agree with you. Watching movies or videos is one of the best ways to improve your fluency in any idiom and i am brazilian .
Thanks!
After watching your video I am really sure that watching more movies or videos are important to improve our English lesson. Thank you for your helpful explanation.
Bcz you are a frensh speaker english is so easy for you. Good job man 😊
Wow! Your English fascinate me a lot. It is accent-free and has native-sense. You can be a role model for anyone who has passion to learn languages. At first I have thought you're a native American or have something related to the US. This video pushed my motivation for language learning 😊
Thank you! 😃
Is there really an accent-free english? As far as I know every English speaker has an accent. Americans had an accent 250 years ago and they didn't just happen upon or develop an accent free version of the language later on.
@@jinparksoul I suppose accent-free in this case is relative to a "standard" speaker.
@@loistalagrand That just causes confusion I think and is subjective/arbitrary. If I consider the Queen's English accent-free and you consider US mid western English accent-free I think the contradiction should require us to come up with another term to describe what our standard is or we can just use the phrase "standard {region} english".
@@jinparksoul interesting point
Congratulations!
Thank you for sharing your experience. You sound really impressive for someone not living in US
Thanks!
I just can't believe you're not a native! Your English is just so fluent and good
Thanks!
To good to be true.
You can easily tell that he's not a native speaker... he's so slow and you can tell that he's thinking too much he's presentation is not smooth and hes using what I can call book vocabularies.... But I appreciate his work he must be a hard working person
@@Occ881 did you hear him speaking his native language?
@@zorekrykger2044 absolutely not,but how english native speak english i can tell.. because they do not use basic verbs they like to use phrasal verbs in their daily conversations...to reach fluency you have to be able to use phrasal verbs in your conversation
I will follow your strategies to achieve my goal of being fluent in English. Thank you for this video.
Good luck!
thank you so much for the video, was really helpful,I'm b1 right now and I really like English, the culture around it and my long-term goal is can understand history books
Good luck to you!
I live in the USA and your English sounds perfect.
Outstanding🎉
I love it , I've been learning English for a year..❤❤ but gave myself away ❤❤❤❤
Wahoo! as a French speaker and living you blow my mind!! You speak like an American. I will follow everything to bring my English to the next level.!! Congrats 👏
1) repetitive listening - Podcast/Videos - listening “million times” 2) switch your environment in your target language (switch computer etc in your target language) 3) comprehensive input - idially a sentence should have one unknown word using for example linqQ Great stuff and very helpful! Thanks 👍
The link is so useful.thank you somuch.your great.God bless you
You are welcome
my advice is to repeat after the speaker, in live time, for example I watched this video constantly repeating, and I'm sure my brain absorbed a lot of useful things, plus my pronunciation improves, and I will be able to give out sentence words without thinking....
whenever i listen to a polyglot or teacher i judge their language acquisition skills by their spanish which i speak at a fluent level. but hearing you in my native tongue really blows me away. you sound amazing, bro. maybe better than luca
Thanks
Hey Lois!😊 First of all, your English is impressive!👏 I can imagine how much work and effort you must’ve put into getting to this level.
Thanks a lot!
This is actually what I think and say it to my self. it’s not easy to learn any language especially when it different from your mother language.
True@@wa3618
I think it is also about self awareness. People have different kind of intelligence and some are very good at learning languages. On the other hand, some are good at mathematics or psychology. If you know your self you know what method suitable for you. At school , they teach you academic languages. Unfortunately, they are focusing too much on grammar and few hours every months won’t help you be fluency! Put yourself into the environment that forced you to speak. Learn whenever or whatever possible.
I'm shocked! I thought you're an English native speaker! Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us. I'm also a French learner and I'd love to see a video of you speaking in French. It'd be nice. Congratulations for your effort and dedication!
I'll upload a few videos in French very soon!
Bravo à ton accent parfait!
Amazing !! I thought you were a native English speaker !! Your pronunciation is excellent 👍👍You're such an inspiration, Loïs ! The way you speak English is so natural ! I wish I can be as fluent as you 🙏

For the first time when i watched "Sherlock Holmes' movies i was utterly stunned how fast they were using every single word and then Repetitive listening did work ❤
Pleasure to meet your channel ✨

This is amazing.

Thanks for those advices. I'm a French guy currently learning English and I'm applying 2 things that you mentioned in my life in order to be more fluent. I think exposure is the most important step to enhance your level. You have to live your English instead of only learning it. I found your channel recently and I love it. Keep going and thanks again for those tips.
Best of luck!
Great video and suggestion.
Thanks!

Dude! Your accent sounds from the US. I am French like you, from Paris. You did an amazing job to get where you are. Your mind is very well structured. You speak with calm and ease. Congrats! I am moving toward a fluent Spanish, right now. My strategy is slightly different : I am moving directly in the country to learn the language.
Which country are you moving to?

Hello! As per my perspective,i would like to say that learning only in school isn't sufficient. I had been longing to become as fluent in English as you are.whenever i'd learnt new words, i usually wrote them in books, yet i was not able to speak English courageously and stupendously. Moreover, I didn't have a partner to speak English;for this reason, i had been struggling a lot.The days went on,and fortunately,i got my own phone,As soon as i bought my phone i started searching for such helpful channels in order to enhance my writing & speaking expertise.currently, I'm quite fortunate to have found this channel which will be really helpful to me.on top of that, i also would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your endeavours, assistance, and assiduousness.I am Hoping that i will get constant help from you even in the days to come.May God bless you!!❤❤❤
