US Deploys $95 billion long-range ATACMS to Ukraine

The Biden administration is preparing a new aid package for Ukraine estimated to be worth about $95 billion, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The Senate passed the legislation late Tuesday, and sent it to the White House for Biden to sign on Wednesday.
In briefings to Congress in recent weeks, administration officials have indicated that the US will likely send the long-range ATACMS, or Army Tactical Missile System, for the first time to Ukraine as part of a new aid package, three sources said.
Last fall the US first sent Ukraine a medium-range variant of the ATACMS missile system, which can reach a range of about 100 miles, while the long-range version can reach as far as 190 miles.
