  • Peter is a top man - whilst he was at Liverpool I regularly did yoga classes with him and his wife is a fantastic yoga teacher - absolute die hard red and represented the club with honour, distinction and empathy, and also did some of the best commercial deals in the clubs history. Just a good human being on so many levels, proud to know him

  • You know Liverpool fans give FSG a hard time but their recruitment, while lacking in actually committing financially, is second to none. They've had a few flops but honestly about 80%-90% of the playing, backroom or boardroom appointments are usually absolute gems.

      @kaziarhab@kaziarhabАй бұрын
    • @@kaziarhab I wouldn't go so far as to call them "amazing" because the mistakes they have made were totally avoidable; the £77 ticket fiasco, the Super League saga and never listening to the fans concerns about ticket prices could easily be stopped at the source if they had an advisor on the board who understands the fans, the city and English football culture. Someone like Kenny Dalglish for instance. However you are right what they have done for the club in renovating Anfield (albeit slowly), building the training ground, the recruitment (both playing and backroom), the way they've built the club to finally financially rival the other top European powers in the modern era instead of constantly lagging behind them, they do deserve credit for this. I'd call FSG undoubtedly competent, organised and thorough, though in comparison to other Premier League owners they're a dream, which is why people would call them "amazing"

EA was hated among gamers for being the big bad capitalist corporation milking their hobby, yet Moore kinda got a pass in the forums for being a funny guy. I laughed my freaking ass off when I heard him in an interview talk about "socialist" Klopp who listens to 14th century history podcasts in the plane. I heard Klopp talking a bit about his politics in german before and would have loved to hear some of the conversations these two had about all that, lol.

The working man could afford to go every game. No matter how you try to dress it up the owners are just businessmen in it for financial gain.

    @selasifleagbo9376@selasifleagbo9376Ай бұрын
    • I doubt it, but you'll be very lucky to have him if so. He isn't going to take a job for a while though imo, maybe an international job might suit. It's the politics and media stress that have worn him out so Barca might not be his ideal job tbh. Certainly won't be seen in premier league again, great loss to football and Liverpool, but he leaves a great squad and youth set up for new coach coming in. Edwards return is pivotal, he was a huge influence on the structure behind the headlines, on recruitment etc. Liverpool will be fine. Fsg might seem a bit tight with money to some but for me they have done an excellent job at the club, proven that they know exactly what they are doing and have best interests of the club and supporters in mind with every decision, as he said tjey could cash out anytime tjey like, they dont take fortunes out of the club or rack up debts like say the glazers have at man u, very well run club. We will miss Jürgen but I've no doubt about them making the right choices for the future. To anyone that doubts fsg I'd say be careful what you wish for. We don't want oil state ownership, we are in good hands. But I can't see him going to Barcelona with their issues at moment, man deserves a rest.

  • If Jurgen 'only needs a year off' then I wonder if FSG considered giving either Lijnders and Krawietz the job, or even as a duo perhaps, for one season and then allow Jurgen to come back in? This would have been the perfect solution. Now Jurgen is going to come back into football and manage someone else after maybe a year off (possibly less). If Liverpool FC means as much as Klopp says it does to him, I do wonder if such a solution was considered, not to say the owners would automatically accept but it'll all come out one day. Maybe in Jurgen's autobiography. Oh well, the Liverbird will fly on regardless...
