In this video I made a LEGO Minecraft Redstone piston that is mechanical and actually works. It works with a Minecraft Redstone lever on top that "activates" the piston.

How you designed the final draft of the mechanism was very smart. Nice one!
Thank you!

"I didn't have the bricks to do this part, so i did this instead" You, sir, have captured the essence of minecraft. Just figuring out how to make something work instead of trying to get the materials to make it "perfect" Nicely done.
It's pretty much the essence of a LEGO enthusiast as well. I very rarely have exactly what I wanted but I make it work with what I have.

The best Lego creation, it would be great that your creation were an official Lego.
When he said he was going to change to an electric motor, I was pretty disappointed. Then he came back with this nice simple mechanical design. Very clean, good work.
Yeah same especially because he fixed the issue of before with the wheels

This is impressive. You should send it to lego. This would be such as an amazing Lego Minecraft Set!
Lever breaking when ontop of piston: i am about to end this guys whole career
I like how you spent time tryna figure out how to use a lever to activate gears and then in the end was just like oh yeah levers. Looks so good, wish I could buy one. I could see it being a full set or as a display piece at some con
"Let's make the lever work like a lever!!"
ngl this should be a real lego product. I can see myself flicking that lever all day just because it's so satisfying
Well, it would be VERY hard to build.

Man this is just TOO perfect
damn, it's really cool man, keep going
As suggestions for another, if you decide to later on, would be to have the telescoping shaft, like in Bedrock, which should allow it to proportionally extend as far as it would in-game. Along with racks and gears in between, for the even movement, you should be able to have it motorized, though it may be slow due to the weight and taking into account the mechanical disadvantage. Perhaps having the lever control a gearbox on the inside to extend and retract it with each of the connected gears moving the rack(s) out of reach of itself at both of the furthest points to ensure there wouldn't be any damage caused to the pieces, as the motors continue to spin, while the other gear, which would be disconnected from the motors in the meantime, is still engaged to the rack to move it back when it's switched. I may be overthinking it and it could be expensive to get what you may not have already. Good work, though.
God damn what do you want this man to do, build a rocket???
@@avergreengreen950 Is my description too complex?
Too complex? You wrote a whole paragraph explaining something that would usually take a sentence to write. Not insulting you or anything im just saying its a lot of information.
@@avergreengreen950 I understand. As I put, I may be overthinking it and my ideas are usually complex in description, perhaps unnecessarily, though I wanted to make sure it was clear what I had in mind.

Wow, this is such a nice build!! I mean, the finished product looks truly incredible! 👍
Hi
Next video recreating Minecraft redstone creations in Lego! In all seriousness though this looks great!
Wow you really get a lot of pressure into that I liked it
The moment I saw this vid I thought of a way to make the lever work that was literally what you ended up using. xD So glad you used it instead of those other complicated mechanisms. Good job! Looks great!
Could have dropped the inner support structure down one block and hid the wheels there. Attaching them to the piston beam instead of the piston head. Very cool video!!!
Yeah but he didn’t so shut up
This is like the coolest lego invention
I like your channel, I like all the stuff things you do keep on the good work
That final result blew my mind Ik he always makes amazing builds but this was just so cool
Dude just came across your channel and I'm really impressed. Definitely glad that this was the first thing in my recommended.
Earlier in the video I kept thinking why you didn’t use the technique for the piston at the end of the video until i watched it and saw you implement it into the piston
Brick, science bucket clutch success
This is insanely well crafted. It definitly is big.
It’s amazing and honestly I knew you wouldn’t be able to make the piston life sized or extend it to the same ratio since it literally extends double itself and that much couldn’t fit inside the piston
This is crazy so many lego you have
It look amazing! I'm very impressed!
Dude that looks so realistic and the fact that it actually works is literally amazing 🤩
I don't think i would be able to build this in that amount of time but I saw you, and you impress me!
"Make 1 wrong step," Steve has a stroke and goes crazy
LEGO Needs to Hire you for they’re Set Design Team
Super freaking awesome. I really enjoyed seeing this being finished.
Instead of using wheel outside, I think you can use those in the inner structure connecting to the beam making it stable and running.
Nah
apa bang
Wooooow this is so good Man keep working
Hey! I’ve always been wondering, pls can you make us tutorials. Obviously not ones like these but I would really appreciate it!
Man this is so awesome you put some much effort in to these hopefully one day your Channel will get the recognition you deserve for such masterful builds Keep up the good work
Really well made! The build looks so good!
Nice. Now add an end rod and a sheep and it will be perfect.
This is very nice and beautiful project
This is probably one of the coolest lego builds ever😋
This is amazing, I can't believe how good it looks too... well except for the back of the actual piston bit 😂 but who cares about that, well done mate!
I liked and subbed you deserved it!
Superb!! You have a great talent !
I love the design, the only problem i had with it though is that on the piston extender (The Tan part of the piston), in the back you can see all of the green, red, and colorful bricks that you don't see in the game. Maybe close that off?
I know like nothing about how much space the mechanics take up, but it’s possible that he can’t cover it up because the mechanics are in the area that the blocks to cover it up would go.
Great build! One of my favorites from you. For the end you should maybe let the music play a bit and put hyper links to your other videos.
Missed opportunity he could have made a sticky piston just like this but with normal Lego bricks
thats so huge bro its amazing

This is so good, you earned a sub! Great job mate!
That’s AMAZING!
This is really interesting but when your talking about the gear it sounds so nerdy 😂
This was a fun watch, I love your concepts and building process, and your fun narrating voice :) Some feedback I have for the thumbnail would be that the build itself is so huge, it isn't immediately recognisable as Lego; so audiences may only understand the concept from spotting the tiny logo, or (God forbid) actually reading the title. Maybe changing up the background in the second one or making it clearer that it's Lego would help!
Thanks for the opinion!
I read the titles
