  • Hi guys I don't know where you are in the world but if this was available in a flat pack (remove the wheels) and the freight was not costly and a fair price I would buy one sadly as an invalid pensioner I can't make one but it is marvelous and would be very handy in my workshop !! Love your video's .

  • Great work however I see 1 small problem with the screw design. At the handle side the bearings are in a fixed location whilst the other side it pivots with the frame being lifted and lowered this is either going to bend the rod or snap the welds at some point

  • Hi, nice job! :) Just one question. Does the threaded rod bend when lifting up? It doesn't stay horizontal and has only one pivot point at the back. In the front where the handle is it seems to be only a welded piece of pipe where the threaded rod goes through. just questioning ...

    • If you extend the ”nut end” of the rod about 10cm the bending will be less. Optimal position for the nut center is in line with the roller bearings at the end of the table.

  • NOTE: The pull screw nut is on bad height, therefore when lifting the screw is destroyed in the bearing. The train screw should be parallel in each table position. On the movie, the lift looks good, but in fact due to the bolt mounting error it will quickly damage. In addition, the usual metric is not good for this purpose, it should have a trapezoidal thread.

  • Hey, i’m trying to make similar project but with double scissors. There are two main purposes one is that it should be able to bear at-least 70 kgs of weight as person will stand on it and the second aim is that the total weight of whole mechanism should be around 10 -20 kg . I’m thinking of using wood rather than steel , do you think its a good option or not ? And can you give me proper dimensions of this project

  • Not bad But it will be better if your “rollers” are in a safe rail that will have no possibility of moving out of track in the event heavy load - u could have used the “c” thick metal furring so the bearing “may” not accidentally run out of track! 95% you are good!!!

  • That with collapsible barriers and put a small motor on the threaded rod and on the wheels and that would be a great thing for the building industry in houses. Industrial scissor lifts are no use in someone's house. They are far too big and extremely heavy.

  • The maximum load of that table is relative to the strength of the nut and bolt , only good for light duty. Good idea though.

  • Отличный стол. все тут пишут слабенький он. да это стол чтоб ключи гаечные кинуть когда мастериш или ремонтируеш чтото . положить инструмент. или что то на нем мастерить. но не цемент или какой нибудь груз передвигать весом в 2 тонны. не танцевать не использовать его в качестве строительных лесов и т.д. вы что.? Прекрасный стол для работы и ремонта на нем всяких разных вещей.!!!

  • The screw bearing,must not be fixed.It must have a hinge and be able to rotate slightly around the y-axis to work smoothly and without getting stuck.
