Risky Turn HalfWay out Haulover Inlet Boats
Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It connects the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles.
The inlet entrance channel is 400 feet wide and 14 feet deep. It's dangerous to navigate because it features:
Sandbars
Rock walls
Strong tide currents
Gusty onshore winds
There is no speed limit at Haulover Inlet.

Watching that big boat aka Yacht make a U turn IN THE INLET...is the perfect opportunity to witness the power of the outflowing current....NO human could swim 5 feet against that current...place rocks and boulders and it would be white water rapids...IMMENSE POWER...The Captain of that boat is extremely fortunate he didn't end up smashed into the rocks.... ps. It appeared WIFEY or Girlfriend perhaps a teenaged daughter was punched with motion sickness/seas-sickness before leaving the inlet....there is not a worse feeling...imagine being sea-sick in rolling seas of 5-6ft...forced to abandon your vessel only to find the water is not knee high as expected but 10-15ft deep and you have been sea-sick for hours reaching the point where you are dry-heaving....but as you make to the shallower water where can stand there are tracer rounds passing directly by you from the front...from your left...from your right, barbed wire, explosions, etc...with the people shooting at you hundreds of yards away in reinforced concrete bunkers...YET, you are ordered to displace those people inside that bunker...OH...the water is less than 65'F so hypothermia and the bunkers are atop sheer faced cliffs of 75-100ft.... WELCOME TO THE GREATEST GENERATION young men of 18=22yrs of age....they did that so we could and can enjoy the fun on the water and or watch others having fun in relatively safe, peaceful and comfortable environments...I can not imagine what they endured on that day, June 6, 1944, on the beaches of Normandy, France...in 1 day ~12,000 young men would be shredded, ripped apart and lining the entirety of the beach and floating in the surf...turning the water red...NEVER FORGET!!!
