  • What I’ve learned thus far, is that the best path to success is to buy a boat shaped like a shovel, pile as many people in the bow as possible, carry as much speed as you can, and remain undeterred as you submarine the first six or eight waves. That seems to always work out. Or.. I mean never works out.

    • Marine architects have said there is no purpose for a square bow. It was done back in the 1900's to increase :LEGNTH for a faster boat but with new power and sail options it is no longer necessary. ALL SHOW

    • i promise you most of the clowns think that loading their passengers in the bow will ballast the boat forward..these modern composite boats built with MASSIVE positive buoyancy....sure ! put your old mom in the bow to hold it down....its more likely she'll get bounced out the boat with a fractured spine

  • Pro tip from an old chopper rider - Lean forward a bit if you're about to get slammed on your tailbone. If you're upright or leaning back hanging onto something, the shock goes straight into your lower spine and you compress a disc. If you're leaning forward, you'll just bounce down a bit further and then back up.

    @jonathanevans9257@jonathanevans925710 ай бұрын
    • You are correct, they are unsuitable for rough water. Yes, the pontoons are sealed, but that doesn't mean they are good. There is more to a hull design, especially one meant for rough seas. They do make pontoons designed for "rougher seas" though. Usually you will find them in a tri-toon configuration with the middle toon moved forward. You will also find they incorporate raking on the toons as well.

    • I disagree, if it were meant for those conditions everyone in the boat wouldn't be soaked, especially with little to no coverage or windshield, and he wouldn't have had to turn around so soon. If it was a test for potential new buyers, it failed by the hunched over status of its passengers.

  • I like the SAY42 Hull design. Very efficient event with what the driver let us saw on the few exemple on this inlet. This guy don't know how to run on waves clearly. Despite that the hull make an awesome job and that's the boat of this size I would like to have in rough conditions.

  • For All boat owners who don’t already know….. (I Have had boats now for 56 yrs and navigated the world’s most treacherous waters) in a following sea (stuffing sea conditions) to prevent stuffing and possibly sinking pay Attention to the following. Please note this is Not a 100% in depth look at stuffing but enough to reduce your chances by 90%. 1. Adjust trim tabs all the way up… to give bow lift. 2. If you have outboards trim them right out (not so much to make it Cavitate). This will lighten the bow by up to 50%. 3. If it’s smaller boat put all passengers or weight into the middle & back of the boat. 4. Keeping the bow up and light will eliminate 90% of all stuffing. 5. If you have dual engines use the left of right engine to correct the “ swerve “ when coming down or surfing a wave as the steering won’t do it properly or quickly enough if rocks or jetties are nearby. 6. Keep eye on wave behind coming up and use power going forward to keep wash from coming over the back of the boat and sinking it. 7. Remain vigilant to in front and behind the boat firstly then sides. 8. Never turn so as to put the boat in a position to be hit from the side by a wave, look and time your turn right and quickly as safe to do so. 9. Other than ships etc always hit waves dead on straight and with firm constant power to help avoid being flipped over on your back. This is not just my opinion, it’s fact. Happy Boating. Dave.

  • Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. Sometimes it seems that the boatdrivers have absolutely no clue. I am from northern Europe and we would not be allowed to go in such small boats and without a driving licence to the open sea. Well but our climate is much more harsher so it would be suicidal. Greetings from the Northsee🦭

  • I'm not paying 1.3 million dollars for a boat that I can't even fish out of. Maybe it's because I've spent my entire life almost on the water off shore, but I've never understood and people getting off on just driving around in a boat on the water. If I can't fish out of a boat it is absolutely useless to me. My ultimate is a scout 530 lxf. 2.6 million dollars and will one day be mine! That little Robalo at the front of this film can go anywhere with the right captain. I've had one just like it in 10 to 12 ft seas and made it home. One of the scariest times of my life, but Robalo builds one of the best hulls in the world.

  • Must have been a top pre-launch safety briefing! At 4-50, none of the kids fastened their lifejackets and the girl in the bow didn't have a clue how to put a lifejacket on..and it still had the damn price tag waving in the wind. Here in New Zealand, all must wear lifejackets when underway on vessels 6m or less. Lake boats are lake boats and referring to the boat drivers as "captains" is, in most cases, pretty optimistic!
