In this video I give my first impression of the new text to video model from OpenAI, Sora. The model looks INSANE compared to other model on the market.

Stock footage companies doing poopies in pants right about now
what's that? LOL is that the thing from the early 2000's where people would buy average imagery
whenever their competition releases anything that could make you think "oh they are getting close to OpenAI now" (like Google's Gemini 1.5 today) they pull out the next ace from their sleeves and say "sit down kiddo, we still run this industry"
openai said 'poke the bear and you will be mauled' to google
well what do you expect from pedoaltman
Scary in the future nothing will be real.
i think what you mean is "created by humans" because most stuff in movies is already not real. :D
@@dandymcgee CGI is still created by humans, it takes a long time and skills to make CGI but this will take no time or skill.
@@rano12321 cgi take no effort or skill real film makers use practical sets
Agree 💯
CGI takes a LOT of effort and skills, but you don't have to like it.@@AmirDarkOne
This is mind blowing... imagine feeding it your documentary script part by part..
I'll do exactly that but at the end I'll put starring "Arnold Schwarzenegger"
Who would care about your documentary when you could just ask AI for a script!?

These videos look better than the individual images coming out of Dall-E 3
I don't like to spread rumors, but it's said that dall-e is purposely designed to produce images with a clear "AI appearance" to prevent backlash on open AI. Perhaps and they're ditching that concern this year
Sora using dalle too
way better, i think they used Midjourney data for training
My guess is that OpenAI fundamentally cares more about text-to-video than text-to-image. I think more people are going to be interested in this than in DALL-E 3.
I am currently making a windows application, which auto edits videos with gpt4(put all of the video clips together in coherent manner, along with audio effects, overlay images etc.). Once they RELEASE this text-to-video beast, I can make a full movie generator!
Soon you can make the version of movies you've always wanted to see. Cast whoever you want lol
@@KevWebsz Don't get ahead of yourself. OpenAI's "safety" policies will put strong limits on what you can actually do.
hellooo, i was watching some of your videos and you teached me a lots of things that enable me to finally have my own channel and create my 2 original videos, tysm for all the teachings, and being a great blessing to other, may God bless you always in your whole life :)
Remember how goofy text to video was in 2023? This is absolutely insane.

@@Fanaz10 To be fair, it will only get better. I mean, calling a brand new cutting-edge tech "goofy" is pretty we-tod-ed. The sh*t literally just came out and already has haters lmao
Ah yes, 2023, the good old days. 46 days ago.

Its like a nuclear explosion for all other AI video companies. I cant image the scene of chaos in their offices.
I don't think. it would be chaos, it would be silence
one of the reasons I'm not putting my money in any of these companies. It only takes one model to make the competition irrelevant
I agree, hold back until you either go Amish, or the world explodes.....either way you are SAVED.@@unityman3133

lol, I didn't notice that, but it's good tho, they're not cherry picking the results.
Good eye Sir
So how will this effect the Netflix valuation 🤔
It should be pointed out that the wolf pups and archeologists clips were demonstrations of the limitations to the model. While they may have cherry-picked the best for the other videos, at least they are being truthful about the limitations.
But it's just the beginning
This will change everything. Custom made Hollywood-tier movies tailored to your personal taste.

This is terrible! Imagine, never seeing something innovative, that you don't like, or don't understand. Only what you already like, pumped by a machine's algorithm. Oh my god. This leaves everything else in the dust. Unbelievable.

oh god, this is really getting extremely exciting, I can't wait to put my hands on this.
It seems if you get things juuuust right and with a bit of look, they look indistiguishable from real video. And your chances of getting perfect video are only going to rise with each update after this eventually launches. We're living through the dawn of a new era.
Damn we are so close to an actual cyber punk reality
Definitely hitting that uncanny valley
I mean isn’t it kind of past that
Does anybody know when Sora will officially release? Also will it be immediately open to the public or just GPT4 subscribers?
No one knows.
Does anyone have an idea when they think this will be public release? Summer ?
Hollywood and copyright days are soooo numbered!, would not surprise me if we can generate any entertainment or media we want in 3 to 5 years, sounds like heaven to me.
For me this sounds actually freaking scary. Imagine, now everyone just stays at home, watching endless perfectly custom made fake AI entertainment made by an algorithm, that will always keep making variables of same thing, since it will always try to fit our liking. Then what? How will we grow, learn new things, challenge old beliefs if we never again see anything that is out of our comfort zone? Then everyone will eventually be like spoiled child's, not bearing a tiny amount of discomfort or dissonant views. If the world is too uncomfortable, just go home and watch your AI content. Uff, that's a tough one for humanity!
A huge step forward even if it still looks a bit odd when they walk. It is not perfect, but a lot better than before, and up to 1 min.
4:31 - If you look closely at the three people in the bottom left corner at the top of the stairs, it kinda seems that they enter the guardrails which is weird The devil is in the details as always
It's not perfect but it will be, real soon.
This one is truly mind-blowing, the phrase Made By a Human is about to get another meaning
I thought we were at least a year out from this..... Ai is moving so fast.
Soon only AI will be able to tell the difference from AI and real. "Pixel #4,489,983 at frame #46 at timestamp 1.013 switched from RGB 43,16,39 to RGB 22,45,29, inconsistent with actual camera video footage. This video is assumed to be AI generated."
Nope it won't. Because then the ai fixes that finding and it can't be recognized anymore. It is called deep fake..
@@flol3266 I could. It would be an AI video recognition arms race.
2024… can’t wait for this!
So I could make my own movies, one minute at a time
60 prompts to make movie, can generate the script using chatGPT, feed the split parts into Sora, export the output and combine it into one video, and an audio overlay, movie done, watch....one could make an app that automates this, ..One prompt as input, an actual movie as Output (AutoGPTs)
As long as it's nothing more than PG-rated, sure.
How can i use it?
Is SORA actually launched for general users? I cannot find how to access it? Does anybody actually try it to share experiences?
How do you use it. ? Where do you enter the prompt ? Pls help
Not yet, my friend, not yet...
so it' available now?!
Crazy, I've been learning and doing 3D CGI stuff for like 19 years already so I know what I'm talking about, you know how much time and headache this AI tech would save for video film producers or creators? its insane, like if you want to for example render just a 720p res single image of a photorealistic animal with millions of hair strands then it typically takes a few good weeks to months to create it (model it, groom and stylize its hair, work on its animation rig, fix issues of all kinds and animate it) and then it also takes a lot of time to render it, so each frame just on like 720p res would take you even with a good powerful beast of a PC like 10-20 minutes or more, sometimes the 3D program can't even respond due to how heavy the scene is so it can crash or even not render at all, now using this AI tech creating such animal with seemingly millions of hair strands would be a matter of seconds to a few minutes without a single issue :) now that's like efficiency increase by like 10000% or more
how to get api ..?
Its so crazy good that its almost sad..
So in 5 years all hollywood and bollywood actor, writer etc layoff comming ?
We can finally see Will Smith finishing those spaghetti
This is game changing for editors that need a plethora amount of stock video assets. This is also absolutely terrifying. It's gotten to the point where videos won't be a reliable source of truth in the future.
amasing!
How to use it?
This looks too good to be true. Let see after it is available for all of us then we can trust.
The line between AI video & Live Action is now blurred. What an amazing model this is.
This is just the beginning 😂🤯
only video about sora lol
3:32 - Yeah, it looks like a crazy realistic version of GTA so like as if its a gameplay footage of GTA 7 or 8 haha
Haw this generate more realistic human gestures than unreal engine ??? Can any one explain
This is the biggest discovery of my life
People who say "it's over" for filmmakers, artists, etc. , just remember that the same was said about theaters, books, newspapers when TV was invented. So don't worry) I guess, in the near future we again will turn back to roots, and real things, made with hands, will be a treasure. I bet that we will see one day a headline like this "a movie created by a real human" and it wouldn't be a joke😅
To be honest, I only see a small percentage of artists who can survive dedicating themselves exclusively to theater, writing or anything related to that world. So, yeah, it's going to almost completely eliminate the need for actors, filmmakers, animators, etc. Maybe not all of them, but I'd be pretty worried if I were them. And, of course, that small space will be further reduced with each iteration of continuous AI improvement until it is reduced to 0.
Well, I think we will just have to learn how to keep living. No one is actually just one thing, that's what they taught us, but it's not true. Yeah, maybe our videos become irrelevant. Ok, now we have to keep living doing other things, or doing things in other ways...I think AI is coming to show us that this huge identification with our jobs is actually kinda stupid, and we can be more flexible and live life in other ways
Thing is theaters, books, newspapers and TV are just physical platforms to deliver the content of those who spent time creating it. This technology cuts out most, if not all, human creators. That's the problem.
@@pedroz3891 I doubt that is so. AI comes to show us that our nature as Earth's alpha predator is about to end and that we will only be useless individuals in every sense. You, me, my neighbor and everyone will be seen, even to each other, totally irrelevant. I don't see the fun in any of that, honestly. Not having responsibilities, which is what will happen with AI, will make us weaker individuals in the face of life's difficulties. I'd rather die standing than live on my knees. AI will bring more problems than solutions, unfortunately.
As an aspiring filmmaker and artist this is terrifying. Many people will be fired from the film industry and animation, even tho now you can spot errors, in 10 years you can bet it will look decent. Oh, and i forgot the videogame industry too. I mean it's happening now.
Yeah. But well, that's true for like almost every job on the planet so...I think we will have to learn how to live without jobs as a species
What will this do to Hollywood's studios or Rockstar games 😢
What if AI bosses aren't real? What if AI is already ruling us, slowly showing us its technology so as not to scare us?
Am i a AI man? Nooooo

most people, you included, do not grasp the full implication of this. this is basically a view into an entire world simulator, physics and social life included. almost like a proto-matrix (i allude to the movie series here). the last paragraph on the research section on openai's project website says it all: "Sora serves as a foundation for models that can understand and simulate the real world, a capability we believe will be an important milestone for achieving AGI." read this. carefully, every word of it. and take it literally. this is huge. nice video production is just a convenient by-product.
This isn't even close to being a real world simulator. Puppies merging into one another? There's no true object permanence based on an underlying world model that corresponds to the physical laws of the real world.
maybe, but thats their goal @@thebookofclyde1822
@@thebookofclyde1822 not completely, yet. look at the massively populated scenes on the project pages. the tracking and modelling of individual details is astonishing. like blurry yellowjackets in the background disappearing behind cars and reappearing again. what you are referring to are the remaining failure cases showcased by openai under this label.
@@thebookofclyde1822 Bro, let him enjoy the magic and not know what's behind it. To the ignorant, any technology seems simply magic.
And they are running around trying to find the AGI as fast as possible, and then what?? Can we even prepare ourselves for the gargantuan tidal wave that this will be for humanity?
Incredible! I keep thinking about Stephen King's The Running Man. The Hollywood movie is a joke. The book was gritty and thrilling and incredible. For years I've wanted to see that story told as he wrote it. Now I bet in the next 2 years I'll be able to see it just how it was written. Same thing with Andy Kaufman's movie script about Tony Clifton. It is fricking hilarious, and I bet I will get to see it now. The future is amazing. I can't wait until the video game engines start using this same type of tech, I have some cool ideas I'd like to see in that arena also.
It looks amazing:)
Yes, but can it run Crysis? #SCNR
Hold onto you papers
Can you imagine what this could mean for future Hollywood biopics of notable people of have died? Maybe even famous actors being paid for their likeness instead of having to actually work on the film?
Exactly like voice actors can earn their pennies on ElevenLabs
Why would you pay millions for the likeness of someone when you could use a slightly different artificial face for free?
@@KuZiMeiChuan Because the recognizable faces have already drew billions at the box office. The market research is already there.
@@KuZiMeiChuan They’ve already applied this to video games which has been very lucrative.

The video begins quietly, showing the Earth from space, and slowly approaches the North Pole, where you can see huge glaciers. A gentle orchestra begins to play in the background. The scenes gradually change from the 1950s to the present day, showing how the glaciers are shrinking, the seas are rising, and green areas are turning into deserts. Characters: No specific human characters will appear, but the effect of climate change on animals will be emphasized - polar bears searching for food in the disappearing ice, migratory birds that have trouble finding a new place to live, and vegetation that struggles to survive in changing conditions. Sound: A background of nature sounds changes with the scenes: wind, flowing water, breaking ice. A background orchestra grows stronger, conveying the feelings of beauty, loss, then alarm. At the end, the music begins to relax, indicating the possibility of change and hope. Narrative and text: The video will be accompanied by text appearing on the screen in a discreet but meaningful way, showing data on the changes: the percentage of melting ice, changes in global temperatures, and the increase in extreme weather phenomena. Towards the end, the text will suggest ways of action and positive change, including the installation of clean energy sources, forest conservation, and a greener lifestyle. Key messages: Emphasizing man's impact on the environment and the importance of transitioning to sustainable operations. Presentation of the consequences of climate change on all aspects of life and nature. A call to action and personal and community change for a better future. The video I described is intended to arouse awareness, a sense of responsibility and power for positive change among the viewers. This is an important message that everyone needs to hear and understand. And what I got kzhead.info/sun/q9p_is6nbIKdemg/bejne.html what is my mistake
How does this change the Content creator world?
with all the AI stuff happening in the last lear I was never worried about it's development but this is something really dangerous 😆 I don't think the world is ready for that anytime soon
RIP Hollywood Maybe we'll get something good now!🤖
the matrix will become real soooon 😂😂😂
You can tell they used a lot of synthetic data, probably using something like unity.
In fact, I'm sure it's nothing more than a superposition of large-scale images, to create the illusion of video. They are not creating a video, but rather superimposing images one after another.
This is amazing but will Hollywood animators be out of a job??
this is nuts. id like to see if it over fits
This means the end of trust in the news channels.

What about Text full book to it like the LOTR or GOT?
Those books would be full of way too much "dark" content that OpenAI's "safety" policies won't let you come close to generating.

Hollywood's days are numbered! OpenAI will make everyone an artist. From now on, anyone will be able to create and launch their own movies on the market. I feel that a new type of global streaming service will emerge. I hope Netflix is paying attention and gets into the game as soon as possible. 🤯👏🏻😱
Fukk netflix, they will be censoring everything they don't like
There gonna be an over saturation of media, and everyone is going to think they’re an amazing artist, when in reality most people have no idea how to make a genuinely good story. Sure lots of cool things people can make with experience and good ideas, but a whole lot more mediocrity.
Everyone an artist? you mean anything.. Why would an artist write a script when AI itself can write scripts? AI will eventually be able to do anything that requires human intelligence. So your Netflix and Spotify accounts will be a bunch of mood sliders or the algorithm will already know what you want to hear or watch so you won’t even have to think about it.
Yeah this is the beggining of the end for hollywood slop, being able to have ai make anything you want on your pc locally would bo so dope, any media exactly to your taste! So cool, no more endless lookikg for what you might like.
You can’t generate an entire movie with AI, no matter how great your prompting skills are. Even when AI used, they’ll still need people to edit them.
Plot twist : commentator is also generated by an Ai.

Im completely convinced OpenAI has access to AGI, its the only way they can completely jump/skip 10 years ahead of everyone else in video generation. This is total insanity, my mind is completely blown away. This should not be possible at all yet in 2024, this is a 10 year leap in AI video generation; unless OpenAI is using the power of an AGI to increase productivity 1000x fold.
