Ive been driving my Cybertruck for 2 weeks now and have been gettingTONS of questions so I decided to answer a few of them! The main question is the cost of the truck and you wont believe the actual price after the breakdown!

  • Don't forget that you also get a powershare gateway to run your home off the cybertruck which costs a couple of thousand in hardware as well. Have to pay for installation though. Cyberbeast apprently gets 4k in installation costs for the gateway which comes free as well.

  • All of that extra stuff is part of what you get with the Foundation series, so when you say all that extra stuff was free, it was not free, it was part of the extra $20,000 you paid for the Foundation series. If you did not get the Foundation series, you would have had to pay for all that extra stuff that was included, it is basically an options package for $20,000, that gives you everything. And there are fewer of the Foundation series trucks, so they are worth more.

    • I live in Central Illinois, about a 3 hour drive from Chicago, in the Peoria and East Peoria area. Peoria is the 2nd largest city in Illinois, so it is a big city. And on the average day I usually do not even see a Tesla car. I might see a Tesla car 2 or 3 times a week, if that, and I have never seen a CyberTruck in this area one time.

  • FSD is $12,000 on the Model X, so that brings the $20,000 Foundation Series down to only +$8000 if you were planning to get the FSD anyways - 2:29

    • You get the laser bar with Beast (that's gonna be expensive), plus all premium accessories and lifetime premium connectivity, a year of super charging (if you can't install homeshare). FS is wayyyy worth it, people just don't realize it yet.

    • FSD is not 12k. Unveil night reservation holders were locked in at 7k. If you didnt reserve FSD on unveil night, then you didnt even want FSD and now you're paying for something you didnt even want to get the truck early.

    • @@kazTHEcomic The reason you get the lightbar with the beast is because beast will come standard with the big tires and the white interior, so those arent even actually upgrades. one year of supercharging is NOT worth it compared to powershare. I think I used like 85 miles of supercharging last year. People charge at home. FS is only worth it if you want to pay the get it early tax. Trying to justify it financially is silly. Especially if considering tax credits on the AWD. its more like a 32.5k upcharge if you live in CO and lose all tax credits.

  • So normally you would pay extra for what was included, but they called it a Foundation Series which cost you $20,000 more which means you paid for it any way, but they did the typical, we included it, but we increased the base cost to cover it so you believe you got something extra. Instead of picking the options, they forced these things on you and it cost you $20K instead of 1/2 that for what you really wanted added.

  • Ordered Cyberbeast today, delivery back end of 2024, was offered fill of other res for dual motor for May. Cyberbeast is 122,235 and my state sales tax will be plus .0427.

  • When companies start production they want to get as many fully equipped vehicle out as possible. It's like Audi calls the first Q8 e-trons "Launch Edition" and they come fully loaded with some other special features. Getting some fully equipped trucks out allows them to use the early adopters as beta testers for ALL available features. 🤣 Hope you enjoy your Beast!

  • The foundation series gives you the option to have laser etched badging around the cyber truck. Basically you get a few bells and whistles, and the ability to actually get the truck, where “non-foundation” cyber trucks are TBD timeline wise in terms of delivery, on top of the etched logos around the truck. So all and all, you paid 20k to have laser-etching around the truck. Elon Musk thanks you for allowing him to scam you.
