We had a parakeet named Izzy when I was young. He liked to sit on your head. One day I forgot he was on my head and I went outside and he flew away. We put an ad on the local radio in case he flew to someone. Two days later someone called our house. Izzy had flown out of the sky onto some woman’s head while she was getting the paper.
Thats a cute story
Not gonna lie I'd be terrified if a bird landed on my head

It's amazing how 2 different animals become best friends
You mean just like Humans and Dogs?
I know right! its truly magical
I marvel at this every time I watch one of these videos : )
Everytime animals have their animal instincts subdued, most animals (most not all) can form very good friendships., even seen a Lion and a tax dog being friends so there you have it.
ITS HARDER FOR HUMANS TO BECOME FRIENDS.....
Fun fact: when parrots like another creature, they tend to make more noise
Thank you for that wonderful fact
That sucks
Yea, my parrot is outside majority of time on my dog's back because she starts to scream when he leaves lol
@@xertz2502 It does suck. Because they will scream their heads off until you give them attention once they're bonded to you. So it's difficult to ever have time alone to do anything. Something people should know before buying a parrot they're not just pretty birds.

The dog is praised for the useful work it performs in the household, but it is also seen as having special spiritual virtues. A dog's gaze is considered to be purifying and to drive off daevas (demons). It is also believed to have a special connection with the afterlife: the Chinwad Bridge to Heaven is said to be guarded by dogs in Zoroastrian scripture, and dogs are traditionally fed in commemoration of the dead. Ihtiram-i sag , "respect for the dog", is a common injunction among Iranian Zoroastrian villagers. Detailed prescriptions for the appropriate treatment of dogs are found in the Vendidad (a subdivision of the Zoroastrian holy scripture Avesta ), especially in chapters 13, 14 and 15, where harsh punishments are imposed for harm inflicted upon a dog and the faithful are required to assist dogs, both domestic and stray, in various ways; often, help or harm to a dog is equated with help and harm to a human. The killing of a dog ("a shepherd's dog, or a house-dog, or a Vohunazga [i.e. stray] dog, or a trained dog") is considered to lead to damnation in the afterlife. A homeowner is required to take care of a pregnant dog that lies near his home at least until the puppies are born (and in some cases until the puppies are old enough to take care of themselves, namely six months). Giving bad food to a dog is as bad as serving bad food to a human. The believers are required to take care of a dog with a damaged sense of smell, to try to heal it "in the same manner as they would do for one of the faithful" and, if they fail, to tie it lest it should fall into a hole or a body of water and be harmed. @zoroastrian.wisdom @Zardasht_afrin1998

If the homeowner does not help the dog and the puppies come to harm as a result, "he shall pay for it the penalty for wilful murder", because " Atar (Fire) watches as well (over a pregnant dog) as he does over a woman". It is also a major sin if a man harms a dog by giving it bones that are too hard and become stuck in its throat, or food that is too hot, so that it burns its throat.

Hello Carolina how are you doing today Happy 😊 New Year God Bless You As You Wished.
Oh my god the range of feelings in this one. Better than anything Netflix puts out.
I admire her for wanting him to be free but it's clear this bird is likely not a wild one. The bird was lucky to be found again as he needs people to survive. Hope she doesn't let him fly off again.
Her accent sounds australian, so she may have assumed this was a wild bird. Even wild parrots are inquisitive and want to say hi, but it seems like this bird took to the cage and a semi captive lifestyle so easily that it may have been a lost pet to begin with.
Right. That was unsettling and how he got injured in the first place.
Red breasted Cockatoos are native to Australia so could of been wild.
Since they're wild in AUS are people allowed to have captive ones? She didn't mention taking him to a vet or getting him checked for a microchip.
@@imzadi83fanvids7 Yeah you can keep them as pets as well in Australia they are actually common pets many places including Australia. Because they are so intelligent and well behaved, they make good pets.

Humans can learn from relationships like this. Two very different animals but love each other no matter what.
Hi dodo! Just wanted to share that I just lost my German shepherd yesterday. She was 12 years old, her names is Juno, she was put down due to weak spine and losing muscle. I truly will never move on, she is the first real childhood pet I’ve lost, she was the first dog that died and I remember getting her, and I grew up with her. Rip Juno, fly high. We like to imagine she’s up in heaven with my grandpa, knocking the tea out of his hands, because she’s so hyper.
Prophet Zoroaster says : "Happiness comes to them who brings happiness to others" "Doing good to others is not a duty it's a joy, for it increases your own health and happiness" "I shall be master of my own destiny". "Righteousness for the sake of righteousness alone" "One good deed is worth a thousand prayers" "As long as I have power and am able, I shall teach all to seek for truth and right" “Turn yourself not away from three best things: Good Thought, Good Word, and Good Deed" "Taking the first footstep with a good thought, the second with a good word, the third with a good deed I entered paradise".
I’m so sorry - Blessings to you, and Blessings to your sweet Juno xoxoxox
I'm so so sorry. I also had to say goodbye to my childhood dog about 4 years ago so I know the heartbreak you are experiencing.
I am so sorry 🥺
Dogs in Zoroastrianism Religion : In Zoroastrianism, the dog is regarded as an especially beneficent, clean and righteous creature, which must be fed and taken care of. Honestly at this point it's probably best for them to keep Cracker, no telling if he'll try to make friends with a not-so-friendly dog he sees out in the world.
Yeah I think he's been in captivity for too long to be free, and do they even live in his species' natural environment? What's the point of him being free if he's not going to meet any other birds of his species.
@@FerociousPaul yeah Galahs are everywhere in Australia. Would have been fine.
birds recognize individuals well enough to even visually recognize other birds that look identical to us, there isnt much chance of it mistaking another dog for his buddy
@@Robin_Coffins Paul's right. My galah i rescued him with a busted wing, the vet explicitly said she could strap his wing and we take him caged forever as a pet, or she has to put him down, because they cant go wild after that. So now i got myself a feathery demonsaur that is ferociois with everyone but me, and a total sooky boy with me.
Yeah my bird dog would have either killed it and brought it to me or killed it and eaten it.
I felt like crying when Cracker flew away and Milo was looking out the window for him 😭
This is so sweet, what a wonderful pair.
A friend of a friend doesn’t matter how different. Touching
Hello kheira how are you doing today happy new year 🎈 god bless you as you wish yourself.
The kindness of the dog says a lot about the owners.
Amazing truly the animals have unconditional love to share with other animals. Of late I seen my dog keeps pushing me to feed weak and needy dogs, it infact now has a mission on its own mind and even finds weak dogs and I can see immense happiness in his behaviour when the concerned dog is given food.
That’s just plain heart warming.
I’m so amazed that a wild parrot would be so tame & relaxed with a human?
It’s possible that it was fed by humans before... that could explain it..
I believe it was someone’s pet
Highly doubt it was wild.
my old teacher in primary school rescued a wild crow with a broken wing when it recovered she made him a nestbox in her shed with a hole so he could come and go she had him live there for 10years and he loved interacting with people I think due to the care and love it received the instinctual fear of humans melted away and he looked at other humans as just part of a giant murder of crows, maybe the same with this birb
it was injured and vulnerable so likely welcomed the help.
See, this is why I love birds. They generally don't like other people, but there's always one or two special people that they end up really getting along with, which I relate to. Birds are capable of showing more affection than we realize.
Yeah. My mom's blue parakeet was always trying to mate with my right index finger ...... never the left, only the right.
So sad that so many end up on people’s plates
@@tinydancer7426 Thanks for the laugh. ^^
That is just the sweetest thing ❤️
so special to see all creatures big n small have beautiful souls ❤
Hello Teresa how are you doing today Happy 😊 New Year God Bless You As You Wished.
Beautiful story. This makes me think that he was never a wild bird but someone’s pet. When he flew away it seems like he got spooked by the other birds, and he really didn’t want to leave the house. I’m so glad that they’re together now. And I suggest that you don’t leave him unsupervised outside because he probably won’t know how to survive outside since he is an indoor bird. You have a great heart! God Bless you. 😇🙏❤️❤️❤️
Galahs are definitely a bird that dose tame down well even wild birds can become extremely friendly and trusting but this ine is most definitely a hand raised bird thay was raised with dogs around. If he were to go free chances are a wild flock of galahs would teach him how to survive i have seen them do it with none native hand raised birds
Yup, free flighted pet birds needs to learn how to navigate and localise home/wayback. Few owners takes this step and the result is a lost bird... at least 9/10 times this happens is not because they wanted to leave.
Yeah, I thought so too. Seems like he got spooked then got lost. If he wanted to leave, he would have done so much earlier. Glad they found him and brought him home safe
Birds can get disoriented and loose their way back home they get lost very easily. If you want to keep a bird from flying away its wings need to be clipped regularly. I once had a pet Cockatiel I had his wings clipped regularly. Once I waited a little to long to clip his wings. I didn't realize he could fly yet and I had him on my shoulder when I opened my front door it scared him and he flew out. I looked for a long time in the trees around my house. I live in the country in the mountains with lots of trees very doubtful anyone else would find him. I didn't have neighbors just mountains and farm lands all around me. The bad thing is I know he would no live long out there because of the weather we get cold in the fall winter and spring all can freeze snow and those type of birds don't do well in the cold. He was such a cool bird I looked and looked for him hoping one day he would make it back home but never did. So if you have a pet bird make sure to clip the wings its not expensive to have it done but you can also learn how to do it yourself...
@@UnKnown-zy1km I’m sorry to hear that. 😔 Similar thing happen to me I never found mango💔 until this day I’m still upset.
Besides a father's love for his children, nothing brings a tear to my eye like seeing animals love other animals.
And animals loving their babies, or even a different species babies, that they adopt and become surrogate parents to.
Yes.
One of those weird blokey blokes.
Two Beautiful Angels
This is the sweetest thing ever. What a gentle dog.☺️
My pitbull loved anything little, and she was especially protective of babies regardless of species, she just loved little ones. Her favorite little ones were the tiny finches that had made nests along the fence line in my mom's garden. The grass had over grown there and the bird's used it to build their little complex of nests, they were so well hidden we didn't notice them there until we realised that the dog was spending alot of time just laying on her belly staring at this one area. She would just get down on her belly and watch the birds for hours in the summer, even getting her nose right up to their nests and the birds never got scared. I was really surprised by how gentle she was, because I'd only had little dogs before her and they would've quickly decimated those little birds on sight, but not her.. It's truly remarkable how sometimes the most unlikely of creatures can bond and even our own pets can surprise us.
What a beautiful story! Thanks for sharing it ! 🐶❤🐶
My German Shepherd was extremely protective and endlessly patient with babies of any and all species...adults on the other hand, adults she had very little patience for. Especially if she felt they'd disrespected her! For instance, with puppies and human babies it didn't matter what they did, pull her hair, bite her til she was bleeding all over, fall on her face, etc - she'd just make sure they were ok and go on playing. With adults tho, if one accidentally stepped on her tail or hurt her in some other way and they didn't immediately apologize she would start jumping on em and steadily escalate getting more and more vicious until they finally apologized! It was so strange lol! Idk how she knew what those words meant (I'm sorry) but she absolutely seemed to! My guess is she knew me so well that when I accidentally stepped on her, felt bad & apologized that first time maybe she could feel/tell that I felt bad about it when I said those words? I sure do miss her! Your pitbull sounds adorable!
My pitbull is the same way, he does the same, watching my chickens and even a day old hatched chicken he watches and licks.
^o^ Typical pittie, always finding something to nanny. Such sweet hearted dogs.
