    • Same. I would give anything to be able to see this in the theater with my folks again. It was hard to make my dad laugh, but Beetlejuice had them both in stitches. I'm so sorry for your loss. That grief can feel bottomless, but time helps. I very much hope the new Beetlejuice makes you as happy as the first one did.💜

    • Same!! I'm 41, I remember watching this so many times with my mom. She died suddenly in 2018 the week before her 60th birthday and the day before Halloween, which was her favorite holiday too. I wish she could see this with me. I'm sorry for your loss of your mom. It's so incredibly hard.

  • Day-O (Banana Boat song) by Harry Belafonte is by far one of his most iconic songs.. and I love how Danny Elfman uses the hook for Beetlejuices theme in the first movie. I cant wait for this sequel. I think alot of us are eagerly waiting!

Ill never forget it lol it was a Friday afternoon, and we practiced and practiced till we got it right. We were all 6-8 yrs old. That night we had the parents sit and watch us perform it. We had a blast and after doing it for all our parents, we kept doing it over and over and we would all just bust up laughing like it was the funniest thing ever. Man I'd give anything to be young again. I can't WAIT for this sequel to come out. I just wish my brother was still here to see it with me. 😢

  • I was a young girl when Beetlejuice first came out and as a 45yr old woman I can admit it is STILL one of my favorite movies....and I'm so excited to see the Beetlejuice 2....but honestly, I definitely do not think it will be as good as the first!! Of course Michael Keaton is a very talented & handsome man who is now in his early 70's...but while watching the new trailers, I've noticed his Beetlejuices voice is DEFINITELY NOT like it used to be....I would have loved to see Gina Davis return in this film (and I guess Baldwin even though I'm not a fan of his anymore) but there was an article somewhere where she had said "ghosts do not get old!!" And she's definitely right about that!! But she STILL looks FANTASTIC!!😉 And as for the funeral part, I do believe it most likely is for Mr Deetz..... I'm sure they were definitely NOT going to hire Jeffery Jones after he was caught trying to get an underaged boy to pose naked for him!! Which he is now on the "Registered Sex Offenders" list!!!😡😮

Still yet, I still listen for it regardless.

    • No please no. It's bad enough that this film is going to be full of nostalgia call backs to the original. We don't need an inferior copy of one of the most iconic performances in film history. 'Day 'O' will be best used in a way that is unique to this film. I don't want to see a bunch of moments from the original recreated. If I want to see those moments, I'll watch the original. Nostalgia is the reason this film is going to do well on opening weekend. I've seen enough to tell me that it is not going to leave a lasting impression beyond that.

    • Thats one that really doesn't need a sequel and there havent even been discussions about it. Beetlejuice has had sequel talk going for literally decades so there was always a desire to do it but the scripts and ideas just weren't there untill now.

    • Well, I'm super excited about the sequel. Can't wait to see it at the movies. 😊

    • You do understand that my "she looks damn good" comment was in reference to 70-year-old Catherine O'Hara, who the video is about, right? You absolute prat.
