  • McKennie and Pulisic are having great seasons. As an American fan it's been fun to watch them mature. Pulisic is called Captain America, for good reason, but I've always felt that McKennie is the key to America's soccer hopes and dreams.

    • I think Pulisic is still growing into that Milan side. Leao is just now starting to pass to him. When they all learn to trust him, Milan will hit another level. They are looking for him more now. I expect a strong second half for Milan as long as they stay healthy.

    • @@stevenygabbyperez695I hope so. Milan needs to get better at scoring it seems. They have a lot of players who can't seem to hit the target with their shots.

    • I really think Pulisic getting series A player of the month honors is truly solidifying his position there. I think they trust him, Leao was rating him on insta not even that long ago and the team in general seems to get along. Them being a new group I think is more of a factor then them trusting him@@stevenygabbyperez695

  • Weston is a dam good player. I always say he's as important to the national team as Pulisic. Honestly we need him to put the ball in the net if we will have success in the Copa America.

  • Wow, that first assist was a hell of a pass. That second assist may ave even been nicer, just one pass from relatively deep across the field and into the net. Just wow. I'm not sure we've ever had an American who can do that in the top tier before.

    • Gio has made some nice passes, but i agree Weston is going to another Level with his passing. He could end up being one of the Best Midfield Passers in Europe when it's all said and done

    • @@adamgt4037 Yeah, his passing is getting strong, but he isn't quite like Pirlo. Pirlo was a wizard, who kind of like Valderamma, did not run a ton and defend hard. Weston is looking like a Pirlo / Gattuso hybrid where he is developing the Pirlo like ability to pass from deep and also the crunching tackles of Gattuso.

    • @@libraryoffantasy Yeah, it only Stu was a bit more durable. He had terrible luck too, that De Jong tackle that broke his leg was dirty as hell.

      @ewhulbert@ewhulbert3 ай бұрын
    • @@ewhulbert The Evans tackle as well. I really don't think his durability would have been an issue but for those other player's poor play. He had a tenacity, touch, and vision that we hadn't really seen in an American player before him. If he had not been derailed by injury he would have been a great leader for this new generation of talent.

    • That's tough to say, in his position he plays, hands down. Pulisic is still a beast that is rapidly improving in his first season in the serie A. But this game demonstrates that he is top 4 for USA right now

  • hes been so great this year and its so good to see, its exactly what we needed. people would actually put respect on his name if he actuallt scored, hes had the worst luck he should have atleast 7 goals so far. that worldy he had that hit the crossbar, keeps hitting both posts, and vlahovic took a goal this past weekend but thats ok, as long as the ball gets over the line.

    @Neoyorchese@Neoyorchese3 ай бұрын
    • As a USMNT fan who has seen Wes in person a number of times - but alas, never Pirlo,though I watched him play - you are probably right. That said, Wes has the chance to be a unique player, a. hybrid 8/regista, but neither purely one or the other. Remember too, he is doing this amazing flighted ball passing from largely a right sided position. If he were more central he would have more opportunities to display that particular skill. Someone dissed this performance because it was Frisone but remember the performance depends on the runs of teammates. Against better teams those runs would be fewer, but if somebody makes a good one, say, against Inter, and Wes is on the ball you will likely see the same flighted trajectory.
