A coaching change is not going to make up for having a team full on bums on the ice in Toronto. Kinda pathetic how they think the coach is the problem.
Not a Leafs fan, but if they are gonna make big changes they will want those moves to fit the coach moving forward. And they likely will make a big move, so having a coaching staff in place to give their opinions and preferences is beneficial.
marner reaves and samsonov need to go, free up cap space and fill out the roster with better depth could move reilly too and find a new #1 dman. free up 27m with klingberg leaving too, and retool the lineup with more heart players. tavares at 5m on resign isnt terrible and nylander isnt a problem, matthews can stay as he only affects 1 line and is marketable but a more vocal and determined player captain maybe nylander. toronto needs energy players, trading laff to sign reaves was terrible.
The Oilers needed to trade for size and a Playoff Goalie the past 2 years (Could have got Fluery or Lehner), but did nothing. And it shows. Canucks in 5...
