  • You signed on the dotted line and went on to be a SEAL and wounded in combat. Shake it off when the chest thumpers play the “one up” game with you. There will always be someone that has more jumps, more deployments, can run farther, do more push ups or carry more weight. They are the ones with the problem, not you. You rock! Coming from a 25 year Green Beret with multiple post 911 deployments to both theaters. Oh, and a faithful Mr. Ballen listener. ☠️

It didn't hurt till a few moments later, I don't know how long it was, but when I started to move, that's when it hurt. Still hurts, to be real.

Glad I’m not hurt” as soon as I reached for my seatbelt, every inch of my body ached and stung. I was told my the EMS lady, Rebecca, that it’s a mix of adrenaline and being in shock and your brain does that to protect yiu

    • I almost lost my right leg to “degloving”… Imagine a woman removing pantyhose but it’s your skin and muscle, down to the bone, from above the knee and it’s all hanging off your ankle. I didn’t feel it at all. Actually tried to stand up, looked down and remember saying: “oh shit”… Sat back down and just kept telling myself- I have to move. It did eventually become a burning sensation which escalated to an extreme burning sensation and I remember thinking it was the sun.. Asked the medic to get me into the shade. Didn’t help much but docs saved my leg. Luckily the bone didn’t break because then I wouldnt have my leg

I didn't even notice I got hit, until I felt the blood running down my leg, I almost thought that I had pissed myself...but nope, it was blood lol, and then I just kinda paced around(bad idea, I know, but hey, adrenaline lol) and then clapped from quick blood loss. When the paramedics started getting me more conscious again, that's when I felt the pain from my shoulder being shattered.

As soon as I realized that i was gonna hit an oncoming car, my brain somehow accepted that it was the end of my life. I remember thinking "I guess this is it" in an almost sarcastic way. there was no fear, felt very rational. Thankfully i only hit the front side of the car and made it without any serious injuries. But I'll always remember that feeling of acceptance.

  • Im a ballen fan. Have been since the beginning of his strange, dark, and mysterious days. And its sad and pathetic how some in the military have treated him. Its shenanigans like this that makes some not want to join. And now on top of it those who have politicized it and made it seem like some arent wanted.

  • One time in Iraq we where inside the Amtrac and our team leader was having a nightmare and shot his m 203 Granade launcher by accident. Good thing those rounds dont activate within a certain amount pf rotation or else would have been gone😂😂😂

  • I’m a new viewer of Mr. Ballen, and I’m so glad I started watching his channel. His storytelling is impeccable, his voice is so soothing and I love how he really paints the picture of the stories he tells. I work with the military community for a living, and I’m in awe of the bravery that everyone exhibits. Thank you for your service and bravery, Mr. Ballen.

  • My son-in law, went through so many deployments, he is still a better person than me and stronger than me with a softest heart. Despite PTSD, CANCER AND PHYSICAL debilitating, he has clear conscience what is right and wrong. if you want to disregard what these young people give and sacrifice do not just do not say anything. My daughters are there to engage in keeping the USA AND THE OTHERS from……..😓
