Just telling my side of the story but it really sucks when a so called friend cuts you out on a job you were talking about doing for months. I definitely do not care about the money end of this one It's just the principle of it.

  • Appears your buddy kept you and your team in his back pocket as a last resort in case his actual plans didn't work out. Stay far away from that guy!

  • not a friend, just a guy you have a work relationship with

  • I used to hire a neighbor as a second cameraman for my side wedding business mostly as a favor to him as he needed the cash. Had him signed up for a wedding one weekend and at the last minute he tells me he took another job that weekend and left me scrambling to find a replacement two days before the wedding. Funny thing is he didn't understand why I was so pissed off. I let him have it and never spoke to him again. People are funny. No good deed goes unpunished. You're a class act Ron, don't let it get to you.

  • I'm not a businessman, but this man keeps changing his mind, different dates, different opinions, different circumstances... I think you came off clean before arguments get worst during or after the job

  • No worries about that scoundrel. Turdballs are everywhere but eventually they will stink themselves out of business. Your professional demeanor and commitment to your customers will prevail.

  • You said he is slow to pay too? That is always my biggest red flag when dealing with people. If you have to badger them to pay they aren't worth dealing with. Then when they come begging you to do work you make them pay up front or walk away.

  • Hello Bondo! What's the old saying? "Burn me once, shame on you". "Burn me twice, shame on me". Just like a tear in a river, I would let him go so fast... That story defies the definition of friendship or that of a reasonable working relationship! Really enjoy your channel! Thanks for sharing. 😁👍👍👍👍👍

  • Cut him like bait bro, I’m sure you were in business long before him and I guarantee you’ll still be in business when he’s gone. Keep up the good work. Youre an awesome example of the good old American way. Dirty hands, clean money

  • A man is only as good as his word! I would have dumped that concrete in his yard…But I’m hard….You held your composure! Great job! You’re a man of integrity!

  • Mr. Bond, you are amazing. Of all the videos of yours I have watched over the last few years, this is the most impressive. With no one watching, and no one helping, you made sure the finish on the concrete you had placed was perfection. That's the attention to detail that when things get wild and tough comes into play to make a difficult job still be a success. Well done, Sir!

  • I really enjoy your videos and admire the work you and your crew get done. You deserve better treatment and shouldn't work with that other crew. Life is short and you deserve to get better treatment.

  • When you own a business you have no "friends".Only business associates. I just retired from corporate ownership (sold my factory and retired well). My wife was the first to notice that people who acted like my friends stopped calling when the money dried up as I was no longer signing the front side of checks to them. I knew it would happen and tried to explain it to her.

  • What’s up Bondo? Always enjoy watching your videos. This guy doesn’t sounds like a real good friend should sound, he was begging for months that he still needed you and then when the time comes to get it done he ghosts you! I’m thinking these other guys were going to be cheaper and he was going to have more $ in his pocket, with friends like that you don’t need enemies they say. Good luck 👍

  • There's a few things I won't miss about owning my own company & this is definitely one of them. I hated people doing this & assholes shopping my bids. Best revenge is for you to have a great career! Thanks for doing these videos, keeps me kinda' in the game.

  • It is pretty obvious that we broke the weather. That is really big thing to break. I expect you got a bunch of snow. I have family and friends between Hartford and Boston. They are in it deep. Out here in the PNW the weather is crazy too. We are going to pay for it this summer. Compare 'broke the weather' with 'cut out of a job'. Perspective.
