Absolute win for Francis. I believe Dana has been on record saying "this isn't a career, it's an opportunity" and Francis heard that loud and clear. Everybody is hyped about Jon Jones coming back, nobody is talking about how this sets up the super fight with Tyson Fury.
Tyson Fury would absolutely destroy Francis. Francis is not a boxer, Tyson is considered one of the greatest heavyweights at all time.
I can’t believe you people actually think Francis has any chance against fury or any quality boxer at that matter. It’s actually laughable how ridiculous it is going to be if they ever end up fighting and fury ends up schooling Ngannou. Literally Francis has never been known for having amazing boxing, it’s always been his power pulling him through. Just look at his last fight, he literally couldn’t touch Cyril
You can leave🚪
Tyson Fury is gonna be busy with Usyk for a long time. What if it Usyk loses? Trilogy. Fury loses? Rematch for the WBC belt and possibly a trilogy. There's also Joshua, Ruiz, and possibly Wilder for a fourth time. Ngannou has really no business in that business. He's just being used as a bargaining tool.
Tyson fury fight will suck
Francis isn’t even a big draw anyway, so I can see why they the UFC didn’t agree to his terms
2.5 million is really not that much considering the fact that prize fighters in boxing could walk away with up to 15/20 mill and challengers are getting about 8/10 million like the Fury/Chisora fight.
In the beginning, UFC hyped him after consistent monstrous KO wins. Then UFC found out that they cannot control this man, hence the result.
Seems like Dana's "World Record" marketing ploy backfired
They made a guy coming from the mines famous. Of course they want to make some profit, they'll not pay him millions. When he came in the ufc he was a nobody.
Dude didnt even want money. Just wanted the benefits that literally every other sport gives their pro athletes. More money isnt so great when you gotta spend half a million at the hospital to have cuts and tears patched or stitched up.
“The highest paid heavyweight in the history of the company” probably means $1.5 million per fight. I hope Francis can get at least 50% of the revenue he brings in, wherever he fights next
If you're saying 1.5 mil is low-lying you're an idiot. Maybe he can get decent money in boxing but in mma he won't make that money
Hopefully he fights wilder or Ruiz in a exhibition match if he goes the boxing route not sure who's at PFL

So disappointed.
yeah in boxing the amounts of money for such a super fight would be crazy. Floyd mayweather was racking up 300 million in the fight against mcgregor. the ufc probably would give 1.5 such a disgrace.
@@JJ-pv8xu This is so dumb. Floyd didn't make 300 million, and that fight was only huge because Conor was a superstar. Nobody knows or cares about ngannou outside mma.
He is still the heavyweight champion of boxing and MMA
They fumbled the bag haaaard on this one
Whoa does this mean we'll see Francis vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania?? 😯
More like the royal rumble
Nahh. Francis vs Jake Paul. Winner takes all
More like Lesnar vs ngannou
Francis should go to PFL, fight on the Jake vs Nate PPV, make more bread than his entire UFC career
Francis probably figured since Joe Frazier made 5M like 52 years ago that the 400K Dana White was offering wasn't really up to snuff.
FINALLY! The Heavyweight Division has been a mess for a long while.
That's Dana.
Yeah ever since the ufc has been low balling Ngannou.
Seriously Francis has destroyed almost everyone.
Wasnt due to Francis, who has emerged since Francis has been injured?
@@kreed82 come on man
"This isn't a career, this is an opportunity" - Dana White So Francis took the opportunity, became HW champion, and is now looking for a career. All he did was follow Dana's advice 🤷♂️
You you’re just gonna ignore where he says he was offered the most money out of any heavyweight of all time we’re not talking a chump of change anymore that was enough
@@BustANUt0600 that's not the full details of the contract it could of been a shitty contract that nobody is aware of except for him and UFC
100 percent certain it came down to the boxing issue. Francis wanted to box to secure a huge payday and the UFC just isn't going to co-promote after already doing so with McGregor. The difference between Conor and Francis is simple marketability.
*As soon as Francis goes jon Jones is back jon Jones is scared af*
It's a travesty that the UFC couldn't make a deal with their Heavyweight Champion. Absolutely pathetic by the UFC. Ngannou could've been their biggest star, but they rarely ever wanted to promote him and now don't want to pay him. Brutal for all the fans.
Agreed
Brother, they offered him Brock Lesnar money and he turned it down, come on now.
they were gonna pay him lmao and who really cares about him hes not interesting
@@4evahodlingdoge226 stop holding water and defending the ufc. You have no clue what he was offered and whatever it is, the ufc heavyweight champ deserves 10x of that. It's time these champions take a stand and stop with the b.s. UFC fighters make 18% of the revenue. Its criminal. Stop defending them. The UFC is 100% in the wrong.
Right. Now he’s gonna go box Fury.
Lol and then proceeds to call him fat with a bad knee pretty much after saying they couldn’t come to terms for two years 😂
If he is still under contract how is this possible?
Excellent decision. No big loss.
Good job Francis Ngannou
Y????
Good job getting tf out of the way and stop holding up the division
@@jasonmaguire7552 HAHAHA, that was spot on funny
@Jason Maguire thank your come daddy Dana for that
Lol... this is the ideal outcome for Francis. He's going to go into the world of boxing and make double, maybe even triple of what he made in the UFC. Even Tyson Fury has spoken about fighting Francis. And if he wants to come back to the UFC he'll be signed because he'll be a bigger star than he was before.
exactly
Fight who? All the top fighters have legit opponents plus Francis is a free mma agen who’s 36 years old and has no crazy following of his own
Francis would be lucky to fight any of the top guys, and if he does he gets trounced. And once he loses, nobody cares about watching him box again. He's not a boxer and would get destroyed.
@@jasonmaguire7552 lol Tyson Fury want to fight him. He just need that match to bag minimum 10 millions dollar which he will never get in UFC.
@@catreaper9286 so how much dana offered him to fight ngannou, I heard it was almost around Brock Lesnar pay,
Bro all I heard was Johnny bones jones vs game 😂 been waiting forever to watch this man fight! Good luck to Francis
Dana can shuffle with numbers, but we know that the main problem is options. They could've given him "slave" contract when he can't have any freedom (adv contracts, fights, taxes, future fights)
Nobody puts a gun to these fighters head and makes them sign the contract. Own up to your actions. Stop making excuses.
@@MRios1128ctually it isn’t much of a choice, if you’re being treated like an “independent contractor” by your boss, without the benefit of being one. Get off your knees.
It's on. Francis vs Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 39😮
@Blade Castlevania I KNOW RIGHT BUT FOR THE UNDISPUTED WWE UNIVERSAL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE ONLY
Francis vs Brock
@@suhailshaikh8529 IF FRANCIS IS IN THE ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH AND FACES BROCK AT WRESTLEMANIA 39!
Probably 500k for show and 500k for win. But that's probably contingent on if he remains champion.
better considered more money less risk more freedom what would you do in Ngannou's place?
ez win for ciryl gane, Jones been out for 3 years and we saw how last couple fights
Easy win against jon jones ? Yoir smoking that good stuff man
This is not an easy win for either fighter. They both match up exceptionally well it'll be a tough fight for both.
It's gonna be close Too close Santos and Reyes give him a run for his money So Gane has a advantage on the feet but Jones has a advantage on the grappling
@@saltydice5 he been out for 3 years...and he arguably lost his last fight at lw. Maybe not easy but I see Gane coming in as thr betting favorite
Casual
Bad move on ufcs part. Now for sure where ever he goes they can claim they have the best heavyweight in the world.
there has got to be more to this story. Francis isn't afraid of anyone
He just said this has happened to other UFC fighters. However I don't remember him putting any of those other fighters on blast like this!
Facts!!!! This guy is a piece of work!!!
When he costs you company million of dollars, I wonder why
He called Francis scary 😂
Man this is good for Francis he stood up for himself and what he is worth , maybe he wanted lot of money and ufc said no . But will they pay jon jones now cause he was asking big amount .
It’s not hard to do a little research and figured out that it wasn’t about pay , he got let go because of his right to box while in contract
@@franco30528 if you should have researched more then you should know that francis wanted money after stipe fight . Champion was paid as much as contender . He did not wanted to continue so good for him .
Dont know if its true or not coming from Dana but if Francis truly turned down 10 million dollars to fight Jon hes a idiot lol 10 million dollars is lifechanging not to mention Francis is rich already Greed and cowardice from Francis is all in staring to believe also Jones took nearly 3 years to fight and wasted alot of time as well
This is a huge, legacy alternating change to Francis legacy
" dont stick up for me, this is my punishment" Lol this guy
His punishment will come soon in form of karma for sure he just needs to be patient cause he thinks he'll be fine 🤣🤣🤣
Hold up the division? Who has emerged as a contender since Francis has been in rehab? The division is a waste land. And I like how he's slyly trying to hurt Francis's value by revealing to potential buyers that his knee is still an issue. Very professional
I appreciate this. This quite the observstion as I was watching I didn't even pick up on that
You clearly don’t watch the sport sergei pavlovich has 3 kos in the first round this year. 5 fight winning streak and only lost to overeem. Jones is moving up to heavyweight, blaydes is 7-1 in his last 8 only losing to Lewis could see the argument that his already beat him twice but so did Volk and we saw Holloway get the chance. Gane put on a clinic on tai and Francis could prove he’s a much better fighter fully healed. There’s plenty of match ups Francis doesn’t want to fight too guys when he can go to pfl and fight cans for a little bit more money.
@@mattreid8292 is it that I don't watch the sport or have non of these fighters done enough to stand out and stay in the fans consciousness to matter. Because that is part of the hustle. And you lost me with the Holloway/Blaydes comparison, the reason Holloway was given all those title shots is because those were close fights and his style is fan friendly. Curtis was KO'd and tends to be risk averse in most fights he wins.
@@kreed82 completely different fighters and style the only comparison I was going with is Volk had already beat max twice and max got the trilogy. Francis has beaten Curtis twice meaning it can happen. Go watch pavlovich 3 fights last year that should earn you a tittle shot and jones being Jon jones should do it too.
At the end of the day we’ll never know the real story behind situations like this
I honestly agree with Dana but glad for fransis for going out and doing his own thing
