I love how this Hulk’s roars always sounded like something vaguely human in pain while later Hulks just sound like monsters.
He doesn't distinguish friend from foe... when he's Hulk.
people also forget that the 2003 hulk is the only movie, where you can actually see every detail of the transformation! ..in the 2008 movie you can't even see the transformations until the last one. they also not as intense as this one.. This 2003 hulk is the most underrated movie i think.
@@janethmuganyizi3155 Yeah but what I’m saying is that you can hear pain in his roars. It’s a subtle detail that represents the repressed emotions that in turn created the Hulk. This is a detail lost in later Hulk movies and is why this movie, a character study of the Hulk is the superior movie format for his character IMO.
@@jussy1287 I think it’s a great movie. I think the people behind this movie, Ang Lee in particular really resonated with the tragedy that is Bruce Banner and it shows on screen with the emotional scenes. Even the weird blob fight at the end has excellent symbolism regarding the trauma Bruce faced. Totally underrated!
@@jussy1287nah 2008 transformation looked painful
Honestly this was the best Hulk from any movie. I love it when he grew in size due to his anger, plus he actually looked pretty realistic. This is the Hulk that you did not want to run into.
I’d honestly rather run into this hulk than the incredible hulk so freaking scary like a horror movie villain and it’s so cool but scary
@@Da_caffeinated_insomniac wrong 2008 will
Unless he's calm and friendly, definitely not run into him.
Waiting for the hulk multiverse
I like this version of the hulk but the realistic part idk he looks like he's made of plastic
Eric Bana will always be the perfect Bruce Banner in my eyes for one simple reason. He showed real, raw, genuine anger, and when he did, it was scary.
he was dope and the hulk was pretty big, but i personally like 2008, better design and the abomination fight is easily the best hulk fight
deffinetely. in my eyes Eric Bana is Bruce. Its just the way Eric's acting when he was "angry banner transforming" is so perfect and genuine acting, as if he Eric really felt he was angry and transforming. Plus Hulk in 2003 was so savage than other Hulks - angrier, determined
Mark is little bland as a Bruce but I think all three did justice with hulk
9 ü 0a
Norton is a great actor but I too really just like Bana in this. His range and subtle demeanor contrasts more. Ruffalo is total shit, Norton is good but not great. Bana... Bana nailed it
1:45 I love how he keeps growing because of his anger. THIS is what MCU's Hulk needs. We want to see the Hulk hulking out.
I actually get why they don't.This hulk ıs insane for the mcu an experienced 2003 hulk ıt would have ripped abomination to pieces.

Hell yeah the way he was supposed to be
That's actually one of the many powers he has in the comics. He gets stronger, bigger and faster.
Nobody going to mention the amazing screen transition at 0:04??? How both characters views merge through the opening of the door, so awesome!
Yeah that was pretty cool
There are actually a lot of cool ones like that. I never caught them until recently.
I remember when everyone was sh*tting on the transitions in this movie but it was experimental and it worked way better than most movies
That is an amazing mastering of editing and I love it.
Ang Lee is a genius
This is the Hulk that we needed in MCU
and not the one that gets shit on by the cast of Black Panther?
@@mikedemirdjian9976 Huh?
@@mattgerrish908 I know that was random, but where I was going with that was how much of a joke MCU turned Mark Ruffalo's Hulk into in the recent Marvel Studio films. "I'm sure you tried your best." That glare that one of Black Panthers' guards gives Banner in the Hulkbuster armor when he tripped. Him no longer able to become the Hulk because he doesn't want to be a tool. That's so lame.
@@mikedemirdjian9976 Hulk refusing to come out in Infinity War was pretty stupid. Also before you say it, Professor Hulk was a thing in the comics as well and I've read one of the reasons why there hasn't been any other storylines from the Hulk's Comics adapted is because they're pretty weird. Ever heard of the Hulk and the circus of crime? It's about an evil ringmaster who hypnotizes the Hulk into joining the circus where he juggles elephants. That can't be adapted.

Mcu hulk is stronger. Went up against the second strongest version of Thor in mcu. Fought hulk buster, something built especially to contain the hulk and would've won had he not felt bad about the people and get distracted. Snapped his fingers and was still able to fight in the final battle of endgame. Stopped a leviathan with ease. Went up against a wolf much stronger and larger than the gamma dogs. Almost knocked surtur of his balance. And thanos is much stronger than him which is why he lost. Went up against a smarter and stronger version of him and runs at the same speed as this guy. Beat the hell out of two gods.
@you've yee'd your last haw yeah
@Tyler Ba bro you high or something!! Hulkbuster was specially made by tony and Bruce to stop the hulk and it did just that. And thanos is much stronger than hulk. It would be weird if the strongest villain the avengers face gets taken down by the hulk. Thanos has the title of being the mad titan for a reason. So shut up.
@Tyler Ba this is not the comics. This is the MCU. Second, Hulk didn't do the thunderclap because the ship would have broken into pieces. The ship was already half broken and his thunderclap would have made situations worse. And thanos is stronger than hulk by far. Thanos was able to take Captain America, Thor and Iron Man all at once and still beat them with almost no struggle. Off course hulk stood no chance. First learn then talk.
@Tyler Ba iron man and cap aren't stronger than hulk. And the MCUs version of hulk is anyway much stronger than the 2003 movie.
And animation and the cgi and the MOVEMENT AND FOLLOWING GOD ITS A MASTER PEICE they should really be thanking people for making this
The choreography in this film was 10/10 the way Bruce Pushing him off his body while simultaneously jumping on his nuckles like a beast

I honestly feel like out of all the three hulk's, this is the one that actually has the "angrier I get, the stronger I get" thing. Both versions of the hulk in the MCU (both Edward notron and Mark ruffalo) feels like to me that every time he gets angrier, he just maintains the same strength but fights better (and more aggressive). I still like both versions of the hulk tho

This hulks powers and mindset + Nortons hulks look + Ruffalos acting and mcu script = Perfect hulk
More like this hulks strength and ruffalos acting
@@bloxidy8752 that's... what he said
Edward's script would've been much better for the character development. Heard that it's much darker than The Hulk we got today(turning hulk into a punching bag in order to show how strong other characters are.)
Ok this hulk is weaker than all hulks except the 90s his mindset doesn’t really matter as a hulk when ruffalos is a genius Norton is defo the best looks wise and ruffalo is the strongest smartest and best acting
Ruffalo’s acting and mcu script is exactly the problem. He doesn’t play bruce banner or hulk anymore, he just plays Mark Ruffalo.
No cheesy "I'm always angry" bs lines...just straight up brutality... Eric Bana will always be the best hulk ever portrayed🔥🔥🔥
he is forever in our hearts
This is for me the best transformation for the Hulk. There is something in that psychopath stare that he gives to Talbot and how he slowly took away his hand out of him and the face he makes of genuine fear because he can't understand how is he so inhumanly strong. And the transformation looks so fucking real hell if this wasn't a superhero film it could be lovecraftian perfectly the fact of being incapable of understanding what is the Hulk
1:23 Talbot, you just made a huge, green mistake, boy.
1:17 Floor almost gives way... CRREEAAK!!!
