Of course , do you really think that company is going to allow people to see how they make their candy. They never will show anyone how they make the pop rocks candy because then other companies would steal their recipes and develop their own which then would cause the original company to lose business due to competitors.

I think it just depends on what you get in the packet. If you get a lot of powder itll just fizz but if you actually get some large crystals those things can detonate. Also helps if you take a little drink of something so they all pop at once.

I remember when I was a kid in the '70's, the first thing that came out was Space Dust. Because it sounded like a drug they changed it to Cosmic Candy and it was powder like. A couple years later at a shopping mall I found Moon Rocks which were like Pop Rocks. I guess they changed the name.

Of course the myth was busted but they still tried it anyway and figured out that you would have to eat so many pounds of pop rocks and so many gallons of a carbonated drink for your stomach to actually explode. I don't know the specific numbers for each, but it was their very first episode. S1 Ep1.

It’s not. Just because it contains lactose doesn’t mean it’s a milk product. (The same as how citric acid doesn’t have to be extracted from a citrus fruit.)
