Primer? I Hardly Know Her! | 1985 Fiero 2M4 Revival - Part 10

Well that isn't true. I know her very well. Well, that isn't true either, because the car is a him, not a her. The Fiero is my boy. I love him very much. But, am still going to primim.

  • Heyooo! If you want the cool Fingerprints Workshop shirt with my Fiero on the back of it, you can snag one from my Teespring store! I hope everyone enjoyed this video though. Thanks for sticking around to see my journey with this thing. We're almost to the finish line. If you want to be kept up to date on progress, I post update pics over on Instagram. And if you want to get even more in depth updates and videos released early, I have a Patreon if you're into that thing. Links to all these things in the description. Love you guys.

  • I love how this is the only car restoration that I've been emotionally invested on, there's just so much personality and depth with this series that I can't help but feel invested in car which feels like a character in of itself. I also like how you're restoring the Fiero not because its a cool car, but because of what it means to you, which completely adds to the experience. I showed this series to my dad who works in car restoration and the first thing he said was "Who the hell restores a Fiero?". Goes to show just how much the car means to you at this point. Thank you for bringing us along for the emotional roller coaster that has been this car restoration!!

Your commentary and ability to teach people on top of all of the work is what makes you, in my opinion, one of the best, if not the best KZhead channels. I’m not one to be excited for an episode to come out for anyone but every time I see this fiero I find myself watching it through without skipping even 10 seconds. Your humor gets me too, I was cracking up. Kudos and thank you for the content you make.

  • I love this series. Reminds me of rebuilding a wrecked Mustang with my dad in high school. All of the same steps (other than the engine work - the 5.0 was still running great,) but the interior, body, and paint work. Sanding... SO much sanding. But in the end, not only was every flat surface in the garage slightly pink (like yours is about to be - all that red overspray,) and not only did I have one of the coolest cars in town, but I had the priceless experience of getting to know my dad at a level that probably wouldn't have been otherwise possible - we just didn't have a lot in common, but man we both loved working on that car.

Recently purchased a 1998 Jeep Cherokee sport, with a manual trans, Chrysler 8.25 rear end, NP231 T-case, and a whole bunch of other really desirable goodies. I’ve seen so many beat up XJ’s, so I’ve decided that this one would be a pretty great long term project to restore and modify to become a cross-continent traveler!

  • Dude...DO NOT apologize to anyone for how long it takes you to realize this dream. The ones complaining are typically the ones who would or have never taken on a project such as this. I've been following your story, from the beginning. You've done such an amazing job with everything. Keep up the great work. I know that the reward will be worth it.

  • This is quite possibly one of my most favorite series to watch on KZhead. It started with the KZhead algorithm suggesting part 2 some night at 3 am and here we are. It’s bittersweet to see it’s almost finished, thanks algorithm.

  • Advice for next time, have a shop vac running near the part you're painting. Reduces the "fog" that otherwise settles on everything.

  • if you do this again, i recommend filling in the divots before the primer so you get a good flat surface when the primer goes on, otherwise the filler can sink and it will be visible through the paint.

  • You don't have to apologise to anyone, any person who's worked on an old car has been there, knows an anticipated weekend Job can end up taking weeks, newly discovered failed parts, extra orders, shipping time, life and work getting in the way so many setbacks . this series is the best thing on KZhead to me and I look forward to each installment, love your presentation, tone, editing and music choices it all works so well and is so relaxing to watch. Who'd have thought after working on my own restoration all day, that this would be my favorite way to relax. You are a credit to KZhead and anyone discovering love of old cars and restore them.
