Also in Breaking Bad and a lot of other movies: North America has a blue sky, South America a green one. In Game of Thrones the different Kingdoms have different colors - Colors can also be used as a kind of map. Thanks for another great video.
Great point! You notice instantly when we shift from Kings Landing to Winterfell to Essos etc
Mexico is orange 😎
As a half mexican I can confirm that the everything is tilted orange in Mexico

@@schizvoid8774 ah you're right of course, thanks. Not a native speaker.
This is seriously one of the highest value channels on youtube. As someone trying hard to learn how to make better videos for my channel, I am extremely grateful👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Not one of
I absolutely agree. And their courses are worth the money, too. Glad someone posted about this channel on Reddit.
For me "don't look now" (1973) has the greatest use of colour in film.
What do you think about Suspiria? Although I've watched both the films, I remember Suspiria much more distinctly.
@@anirudhnarayan89 absolutely, great contender so I completely agree however suspiria or incredibly stunning and impressive, I love it, don't look now has a more effective and practical use of colour as opposes to style if that makes sense.
I just got an ad from Tomorrow’s Filmmakers, and watched it the full way through thinking it was the video 😂
I know I’ll never have the means or circumstances to be a cinematographer or be a film maker as I’d like to, but I’m forever grateful that this channel has taught me the fundamentals!
Me being an architecture student trying to learn more about colours and perspectives and thinking " HOW HAVE I NOT FOUND THIS EARLY?! " . Although I'm in a different profession ,this really is linked with my daily work . To know the correct angles to render and the combination of colours is really important . This video really helped me to pay more attention on details . Thank you so much !!!
Seriously, each video is equal to a entire online course!! This is really one of the highest value channels on youtube.
Wow! The importance of color is tremendous Thank you for this video
Breaking Bad uses color in such a genius way. Actually, the whole show is genius. Literally everything was so carefully thought you can spend days analysing a single episode.
That's genius bro that's so genius. I watched it and I was like wow that's genius.
i feel like this was next level, something you find in a secret directors book cause like.. were talking about the subconscious here. Out here, on youtube. Definately interesting
I am not a filmmaker, do not own any camera but I am amazed by the content and the quality you guys offer... I might sign up for the course just for fun.
Everyday you learn something new, and this has been very exciting for me to learn. Thank you, Justus!
I always loved the way Wes Anderson used color in his films. I even recognized this when I was younger, before I understood filmmaking.
Great video ... the first time I noticed this concept of colors was when I watched the movie "The Matrix". Every time the characters would go into the matrix, the image had a green tint ... and the colors were normal when they were in the real world.
sincerely you are the best online teacher I have ever got. Thanks love your tutorials so much
I have really loved this series!
My excitement went to an all time high as soon as this came into my recommendation

Cinematography amazes me all day everyday!
I waited for ur videos so impatiently, Absolutely loving and learning❤️
Hey mate, you made it so simple. I've watched tons of Videos but this one is so good. You explained it well. Thank you.
hi rithvik filmmaker from india...searching for a cinematographer
Love this! Color in cinematography is so important. Greta Gerwig does this so explicitly yet at the same time subtly in Little Women (2019), with yellow light signifying their past/childhood, and blue light signifying the present
This is truly amazing! Your channel is truly amazing!
Omg you explain everything so easy to understand thank you! You’re amazing
Literally the best filmmaker Chanel ever

WooW... just at amazing video..!! I never had thought of the usage of color in films in such a way..!! Thank You Sir for sharing such an informative video..!! Also, all of your other tutorials are also Great..!!
Thank you soo much for this sir... i just loved your priceless information...❤️❤️❤️
Mind blowing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank you so much
Thanks for this video! ❤️🙏
The noticed point seems to be similar to how Sir Roger Deakins feels about cinematography in general. The interesting shots and the standard shots all surve a purpose and are needed but you don't want to make the audience detach from the scenes that are playing out. You watch the audiecne to be sucked in further. Making a film is a beautifully choreographed dance that takes so many people so much effort and time to get right.
Amazing analysis - never would have noticed it unless pointee out. Will be on the lookout now for other movies
Perfectly explain..... Love from india 🇮🇳 bro....
This was amazing!
Great piece of information absolutely loved it
This is such an amazing video, great videos recently ✅✅

staggering....yet amazing watch.
This is amazing 😍😍
Wow. Mind blowing 🤯
Another great video of yours. Thanks!
Mind blown…!!!
Great video made better by amazing examples!
Awesome man learned a lot ❤
absolutely good stuff
My favorite example of this is the Tobey Maguire movie Pleasantville. In the beginning Pleasantville is black and white and throughout the movie as the characters experience different emotions the color gets added back in.
You guys are doing too good and if you make Cinematic frame, cinematic shots, cinematic angle and more about lighting.. That would be help for us.. I hope you and I'm waiting for next.Thank ya 😃
I love movies. I also teach courses on the subconscious mind. I basically coach people on how to operate their subconscious minds to improve their life. I tell them to "wash off the day" each night before sleeping. These color-coded messages might be intended for a movie, but they can trigger other things in individuals. People actually get influenced by movies and television for this very reason.
Love this
Best explaination on colour
Brilliant and enlightening
This video was very informative! Thanks
You guys are amazing
Fantastic! Thanks, Man.
One of my favorite examples of this is the movie whiplash with the way miles tellers clothes are getting gradually darker over time
Thank you very much I really enjoyed the video it allowed me to learn things about color that I did not know. Or I wasn't even paying attention to these things
