  • You’ve been such an inspiration to my junk journal journey🤎 today I made my first fabric-covered cardboard box journal cover with some gorgeous upholstery fabric I’ve had for almost 20 years! So happy to use it this way! Tomorrow I sew in 3 signatures 😊

  • I absolutely LOVE this journal idea. I love that you’ve used black on the front and back. I think you should definitely do something on the back cover, but maybe less than the front so it still acts like a back cover. Also…I love the signatures on the front side! So cute. My thoughts for the back side would be to leave it without signatures so you have variety. Use the back side to do some double spreads, maybe? This is such a fun sized journal!

  • Love your wood box for small bits. Mine are in an open bowl on my work table and I feel it just adds to the clutter. If my space is too cluttered I can not seem to focus and work! My mission today is to find a box with a hinged lid for easy access and try that. I think I have a wooden one from a Sacher Torte I bought years ago in Vienna.

  • (because you asked) I would suggest that you leave the back cover "blank" (as is).... until you decide if you're gonna use the other side of the pages..... that way, it looks like a Front and back cover.... and if you DO use the other side, you can decorate the "back cover" during that process. I love the postcard tip-in page. Your junk journal is looking great. 😃👍

  • I've been waiting for the next part! I tried a napkin on my paint sample thing and it looks good! I'm not sure if I want to use it though. However, I did start a journal like yours except the pages are separated, and I'm using fabric to connect. I like to add stuff so it'll give me room. Thanks for sharing.
