Watched this a few times back and forth and really, the storytelling is amazing. I love how the wrapper was used as a psuedo-text box and because the girl is dead, her wrapper always says the same thing. That added so many layers of sadness because you can imagine how she most probably got lost in the forest, sprung the trap by accident after carefully avoiding so many before, and had to crawl towards the closest tree in tremendous pain and agony. As she struggles to sit up and rest on her back, she tried shouting for help but no one came. In an effort to distract herself from all the pain, fear and suffering, she reached for a candy and ate it. In a twisted irony, the wrapper says, "You found me", and she died holding onto it. All that storytelling in the final 2 cuts. It's brilliant.

Ill be honest guys, this video is really important to me. I grew up honestly sociopathic, with no sense of empathy, and not really feeling emotions, going through relatives death without feeling anything, etc. But when I saw this video, this was the first thing in my life that genuinely made me feel emotion and empathy, and it made me sob finally feeling all the unfamiliar emotions I hadn't experienced. This video is beautiful and I cherish it forever. I love you guys.

It's been 8 years, yet it's still a masterpiece.
At the end, you can see how the dead child’s body is still in the rotting process. If we’re getting scientific here, the body was left in a forest which is usually somewhat moist and lush. In this climate and environment, bodies take only about 3 weeks or so to decompose. In the flashback to the previous Halloween, they were still alive. That child died very recently.

At 7:56 you can see there’s a bear trap on her foot, when the flashlight hits her. Also, it was “last halloween” when he was beat up and first met her (without his mom there) and she first got the “you found me” note with him. He met her when she was alive, but I think the story was she died later that night last halloween (regardless of actual rot time). I mean, why else would she have died in that costume?

I think this tells about 1 year ago when the girl was still alive and met a boy, because the boy saw that the girl didn't have candy he gave her one, when he opened it there was There are the words "you found me". And after that they separated, what happened when they separated, the girl got lost in the forest, she was caught in a trap and because of that she was forced to wait Under a tree and hoping that someone would save him while holding a candy wrapper that said "you found me" that he got from the man until he finally died there. After one year the girl who was with the boy was the spirit/soul of the dead girl, that's why every candy she ate had the words "you found me" written on it.😭

He ended up chasing the girl with the nail in her head through the woods (it was a hallucination) and eventually sat down at the tree. But he was alive. The corpse of nail girl definetly wasn't.

I will explode if this does not get a sequel.
Since the girl's body wasn't completely bones, this means that the boy actually met her while she was still alive the Halloween prior to that Halloween. Since the girl is also still holding the same candy wrapper she got from the prior Halloween, she may have died the night they first met each other.

I'm kinda confused about the ending (Spoilers) . . . . . . . . . . . . . Did the kid get killed by the traps and laid next to the ghost, or did he hallucinate the entire thing and just happened to find the corpse while still alive?
Anthony Maguire The girl died long ago, but the boy is fine (Note: him moving when the light hits his face and then smiles) and yes the he slept by her corpse and the vision of the boy running through the forest was likely what the girl saw when she got caught in the trap. [Hope this helps :3]

Watching this years later and it still makes me sad, doesn't happen often but the way the story was told is beautiful, this is honestly a masterpiece.

Yesssss!!! Exactly!! When I first found this video the end made me feel all sorts of emotions! I felt sad, scared, sort of happy and more... It's just the fact that she was dead and decomposing this whole time and he was sitting next to her. And she must've been so scared as she was dying and in so much pain too. She is probably at peace now that the boy found her... 🙁
