at exactly 2:03 the dog in a suit was switched behind the shelf. you can see the transition blur. and a clear fish line was tugged to make the stuffed animal fall over after the switch.

I agree the other times before the last time you could see it fell differently specifically how the legs fell. The last time they actually appeared to fall like stuffed animal legs do.

I saw this trick live by another magician in a Criss Angel show. They revealed that there was a poodle inside the elephant the whole time. Now I can honestly say that crowd is paid to react surprised and they switched the stuffed animal to show the stuffing inside.

No rhe real question is why does a stuffed animal have a velcro back that opens up with a red piece of cloth that covers up the velcro compartment he literally pulled back the red piece and you could hear him pull the velcro apart down the middle of its back and started pulling stuffing out and it didn't appear to really have a lot of stuffing in it either. But I've never seen this before well not usually I suppose I have on certain ones but that was used to either access something with batteries inside or something else or to add stuffing if need or both.... but not usually do most regular stuffed animals open up with a velcro part.. that's not normal or common with them.
You see how he switches the elephant and dog so she picks the elephant. Also the elephant has the most stable legs allowing a small animal to fit inside

I've never seen a stuffed animal that had a zipper/velcro that has access to the stuffing...and I've only seen velcro on stuff animals that ran on batteries

There is a swap when the dog walks of camera at 2:03. The stuffed animal now has a different posture. Good trick though.

Very good illusion, He does swap if you watch at 2:00 ... Obviously he's got that spot & the store all set up for the illusion. He palms something right before he flips the elephant & opens it up to reveal the stuffing. Magicians & illusionist are masters at some insane palming techniques.
at 2:01 he follows the elephant behind the carousel rack thats in front of camera, he reaches down to pik it up but what he does is pik up a stuffed elephant instead with slight of hand for viewers at home. rule is - crowd is always in on it. and what knocks it down was probably a remote control vibrate mechanism for brief sec small enough that when he pulls out stuffing it cant be seen. i really like this trick though.

It was a dog until 2:03 where he switched it when it went out of the cameras shot. The last "boom" was due to a small string attached to the back of it which someone pulled outside of the shot. Cool trick nonetheless

It got switched throughout the shoot, when it was walking the animal had batteries, afterwards it was just a stuffed animal. Whenever Criss said boom so it could play dead the first 2 times you could see that was part of the toys features because the way it lay down. The last time it just fell down like a stuff animal.

YES EVERYONE WE KNOW THEY ARE ACTORS. Maybe some people like me, like to enjoy his magic even though it's fake. We like to think it's real and watch how interesting it is. We are not idiots. We just like the idea of magic. 😑
Yeah but when it's so obvious that the "random spectators" are all paid actors in on the trick, it totally ruins the "magic". This was just a dog in a toy elephant suit, and it was trained to fall over on command. In the final fall over demonstration, you can see it is radically different from the first two falls, because the last one is really a stuffed toy being pulled over by a string. That's just so he can then pull the stuffing out to make out like the first two times was the same stuffed toy too. Tricks like this are totally lame. Anyone can pretend to be a magician if he hires actors to play the random crowd, and uses video editing to hide what's really going on.
Let me make this clear. It's not magic. They are not called magicians. They are illusionists. That's what they do, illusions.

You have a "beyond the grave" gift Chris. And it's not just the tricks you so successfully pull off damn near every time, but it's the way you present it to your audience. You don't just stand on a stage, and say "look at me, I'm doing magic"...No. You invite people to get a glimpse of your world at face value and that is a step up from the stage performers. I have always enjoyed watching you, and like many other's yes I do look for the "hidden wires, and trap doors". Your magic is actually quite simple in some forms and simply STUPID and death defying in others. I fear your desperate need for the adrenaline rush you get when the entire audience get's that ONE collective look on their faces screaming OMFG....Will catch up to you Sir. Well, the dog theory is pretty spot on I think. You can actually see the elephant breathing in and out clearly between 50-54 seconds, just look at the front paw and the red saddle bit actually move.

...it's all fake & staged. Those are all paid/voluntary actors in on the tricks, like most of his other work. There's a trained puppy inside of the elephant. The dog is switch throughout the whole shoot, but the most noticeable switch happens at 2:02, in which you can see the small white dog in the right frame's left corner. To further back that fact, at 1:36 when Criss tries to set him down, the dog moves & refuses because it obviously didn't want to cooperate anymore.

too many camera cuts to believe it. A stuffed animal swapped out with a small dog in costume is very easy when you cut the camera. Plus having stooges pick the elephant up front makes it real easy. Great magician live but I don't like his tv stuff as it is too obvious everyone is in on it.

its a camera trick, the stuffed animal was switched, off camera, for a real dog in costume at 0:33 ... he switched it back at 2:04 the audience are in on it. If you look at 2:02 you can clearly see it is a white dog.

Pretty sure it was a trained chihuahua named "Cupcake" in an elephant costume. We all got to pet her after the _performance._ It looks good on camera after the fact though. 👌
