Art is always "of or relating to power" Who gets to DJ, why, why are they playing certain tracks and not others. This is all "political" means. The worst parties are the ones that don't acknowledge this. Anecdote, I work in nightlife and was at a drum and base/garage party where I work in Berlin. At this party a friend said to me "if we could all just keep our mouths shut we'd have a great time". He's a white guy of course. I then reminded him that many people don't need to speak at all to become targets of abuse. Skin colour or something as small as nail polish are enough to meet harassment. The majority desire to ignore this leads to its proliferation. Ignoring problems is a political stance, a default to whatever the worst politics might be. Art is many things, but it's always got the stench of power on it.
