I’mma say it: “I Need A Hero”, and the segment that accompanied it, was hands down the most fun I’ve ever had in a movie.
I know right?!
One of the best climaxes, not just in animation history, but in cinema history
Are you 10
Cleary you haven’t seen Short Circuit 2
Short circuit 2 used it better.
I can't believe you totally ignored the whole "Donkey knocked up the Dragon" thing

Well dragons are magical so maybe it's possible!
You'll find that part in "Fairytale geographic" channel. Or, maybe, in the honest trailer of "fantastical beasts.

What movie?

Lool the police brutality wasn't predicted. It was just called out in the scene.
No kidding. Police brutality has been a meme since ages past thanks to the gun culture (who can afford to be nice to a suspect who might pull a gun on them) + the standards selecting people for the job for.
Agreed. Though the parody of the old Cops show did make me think about how terrible that show was for our culture. Hindsight of course.
Police brutality has been a problem in America for decades, arguably centuries.
Too soon?
@@octapusxft believing people owning guns causes police brutality is amazingly twisted. How do you explain police brutality against people who are in prison, with no ability to defend themselves?
“I Need A Hero” was arguably the best part of the movie EDIT: it has come to my attention there is no room for argument, this is the best part of the movie hands down
I thought it was Shrek 2 Original song production...I was wrong.

I only wached localized(polish dubbing) version of Shrek and sequels. I need to say that even they managed to localize that song and they nailed it.
"Who are they fighting? Aladin?". Naturally. Dreamworks was against Disney.
N. A. Hartnell Jeffery Katzenberg, one of the founders of Dreamworks, was actually chairman of Disney Studio when Aladdin was made.
Ted Eliott and Terry Rossio Actually wrote both Shrek and Disney's Aladdin
The King's war wound in the leg is a reference to Basil Fawlty, who also has a war wound in his leg which "plays up" at convenient moments...
Aladdin is based on a fairytale.
That's deep lol

Gabe Because of how applicable to real-life it is?
So how now, are we cancelling Shrek or do they get a special pass?
@@jordankidd4443 special pass
J Crews nah. It was just really funny. Idk that much of how applicable it is irl.
@@jordankidd4443 no one is cancelling Shrek. This was a joke from 2004 when social awareness about police brutality didn't really exist in mainstream media. Though obviously black people knew it was real back then, which is probably why Eddie Murphy saying it made it a "funny because it's true" joke for a lot of people. Though if anything should've been canceled long ago, it's COPS the tv show. I honestly can't believe it wasn't canceled until this year. Talk about perpetuating the "warrior mentality" and glorifying police harassment practices.

There are different things in this movie that don't match up eras correctly. The movie is supposed to take place in Medieval times yet there are so many modern references like the Justin Timberlake poster, or Donkey mentioning in-flight movies. But then we get the Medieval settings and things like Harold saying he fought in the Crusades. Seriously, which era is this supposed to be??
That's the whole joke ....

The Fairy Godmother did such a legendary performance of Holding Out for a Hero
I know right, one of the most intense finales in a movie
The only climaxes that surpass would be most of the Avengers Climaxes, and most of the Star Wars Climaxes, probably one of the only other musical performances that had so much heart put into it would be "You Ain't Never Had a Friend like Me" (dosen't mean it's the "best" but Robin Williams put his heart and sole into that number something few musical performances do) I probably went on for to long..
Listen to Annapantsu's version. You'll change your mind.
Try the Turkish version of the song & scene, it is pretty good too.
The "crusader wound" joke is a reference to John Cleese's character in Fawlty Towers
I thought it was a Monty Python and the Holy Grail, ‘Black Knight.’ Joke. Although if so, the King’s healed BEAUTIFULLY from being left without arms or legs.

After watching the movie multiple times with kids, during the Mongo scene through the village he stomps on a starbucks. All the patrons run outside across the street to another starbucks.
Reminds me of the classic Lewis Black bit about there being a Starbucks across from another Starbucks.
So technically, it's funny because two identical things are close to each other, like, just across the street.
"I'm actually Mary Poppins Y'all!" True that. And Maria "Sound of Music" Von Trapp too!
And in Shrek the Third, both are referenced when she smashes her head through a wall, twice and them hums "My Favorite Things" dazedly.....Yeah, it's one of my favorite parts, fight me! Also, it was just "Sound of Music" referenced, but I got excited!
